Pokemon Battle Tower RP

It had been a few weeks since the incident with Team Galactic. My muscles were still sore from the fight, and Regidor, my Mightyena, was still recovering from the Toxicroak he fought. We were on our way to Hearthome City, my hometwon, in order to heal up. However, just as I set foot in the large town, Regi started growling. "What is it?" I asked. I looked up to where he was pointing his muzzle and noticed a Noctowl coming towards us. "What the...?"

OOC: okay, NM, I'll do third person from now on. It gets boring with 1st person after a while.

 

Will stepped through the city gate, the Pikachu on his shoulder blocking it's eyes from the sunlight. It had just woken up as Will entered the town. "Not a bad town, eh Pikachu?" He asked, grinning. The Pikachu agrred, voice echoing slightly on the partially empty streets. "Maybe we'll find Nicole." He said. Pikachu's ears perked up and he nodded, saying. "Pika, pika!" Will laughed and said. "So how about we find us a place for a meal?" Pikachu nodded and pointed at a pokemon center. "Nice." Will said, entering the store. As he was about to enter a Noctowl dropped a letter at his feet. On the front it said "William Ketchum"

 

"'Morning, Tyler," Ty's Mother said as she walked in on him bunching a giant sack in his room as Aurora, his Ralts, watched him from the bed, half awake and half asleep.

"Hey Mom, what's up?" Ty smiled as he fell onto his bed like Aurora

"Oh, I just wanted to say 'Goodbye' to you." She smiled.

Ty grinned and hugged his Mom, "I'm gonna miss you too."


After breakfast, Ty headed out as a big, husky sailor came up to him, "Hey Kid, you Tyler?"

Ty nodded as the sailor pointed to the dock. "That Noctowl over there told my Pokémon to come and find you, I think the Noctowl wants to give something to you."

"Uh, thanks, sir." Ty said as he walked over to the dock. There was a Noctowl waiting for him.

The Noctowl dropped a letter in Ty's hands and flew off.

 

"Haa. Nothing beats these hot springs." Ben said. He looked over at his partner, a guy named Relo. "What you think?"
"I think if i sit here longer I'm gonna prune." He replied, getting out of the spring. "So what are you going to do today?"
"I was thinking of training my Walrein."
"Why?" Relo asked puzzled.
"Cause, i just got a notice from some noctowl yesterday. Something about a battle tower challenge."
"Johto? I thought you floored everyone there."
"No, Sinoh or something. Figured i would check it out, cause i've never been there before."
"Ya? Well i heard the S.S. Anne is actually heading out that way."
"Well then i better get to vermilion. Mind lending me Fearow? It would be faster than surfing."
"Ya sure, just send him back for me. Here." Relo tossed a Poke'ball to Ben. He caught it.
"Thanks, your a life saver." Ben got out of the spring, got dressed, and walked outside. "Tell the old man i'll bring him a souvenir."
"Make sure to uphold that status of the Cinnabar Gym for us. Now get going!"
Ben tossed the ball. "Hey fearow, remember me?" Fearow appeared with a cry. It had been traded for a powerful charmeleon, but held no grudges. It was happy to see its old trainer. "Lets get out of here." They took off for Vermillion.
"Bring that bird back in one piece you here? He's my only ride to my girl out on 4 Island!" Relo shouted.

 

As the Noctowl flew by, it dropped a letter in Cael's hands. Regidor relaxed, then looked up at his trainer. Cael saw his name on the letter, then saw the words "Battle Tower." He looked down at Regidor. "Well, it looks like we won't be taking a long break after all."

 

It had been a nice trip. This particular Fearow was rather big for its species. After landing in Vermillion, Ben checked into the local shop. He needed some supplies to fill his pack. The S.S. Anne was famous for the people who picked battles indiscriminately. After he was done with his shopping, he paid a visit to his mom. In truth, he hadn't had his knapsack ever since his last poke'mon league challenge. She wasn't home, so he left a note and walked out, his sack now full. Then he approached the ship. Sailors stopped him, but that was to be expected. He pulled out his Cinnabar Membership card, and was shown on through. In truth the Anne owed a lot to Cinnabar.

It wasn't long into the voyage when some punk knocked on his door. "Oi you! That's my room!" Ben sighed. So, it started. He opened the door, and stared down the kid who had done the knocking. "I bought this room with a gym card. You do not want to mess with me."
"Screw you! Lets battle. I win, you sleep in the hall. You win, i'll leave you be for the rest of the voyage."
"And if i refuse to battle you?" Ben asked, already knowing the answer.
"I'm stubborn. I'll just keep hammering on your door."
"You look like a newby. I'll hammer you kid, i'm not new." They walked out to the deck.

It was quite a crowd. Everyone liked a good battle, and this promised to be very good. "Can i make the rules?" Ben asked.
"Why should you?"
"Because you interrupted my nap. Plus your the challenger..."
"Joey. Fine."
"Rules are simple. No changing out, or item use. We each use two poke'mon. First one to ko all of the enemies wins."
"Deal. Lets go. Come out! Pidgeoto!" Joey shouted, throwing a ball. His poke'mon popped out, and looked pretty tough.
"You'll regret a bird type. Dance, Flame." Ninetails showed up. "Go to im. Flame thrower." It was a one hit knockout. Flame was very fast. The kid coulda backed down, and shown that he wasn't weak AND stupid. To bad really.
"You got lucky! Go for it Squirtle!"
"Ha, you still got that starter with an evolved dude? This was over to begin with. Iron tail!" Squirtle dodged the first swing, but was knocked into a wall on the back swing. "Come back when you have some badges kid. Ben walked off the deck, leaving a dejected Joey to look after his own. This was how it went. The kid would learn, and who knows? He may surpass Blain. Well, only time would tell. At least he took down Roley, Brocks kid. But then again, he did have that Squirtle. Maybe i shoulda let it attack once or twice. I'm gonna wonder how strong it is for the rest of the trip.

 

Stevie was determined as he was saving a chikorita from some bullies that was abusing it near Twinleaf Town. One of the bullies leader was using a charmander. ""NOW CHARMANDER! USE EMBER & HURT THAT PUNK NOW!" Charmander was smiling in a mean way & unleashed the fire attack. The chikorita was hiding behind Stevie & was afraid that he'll lose. "Don't worry. Togepi! Use metronome!"

Togepi was smiling & wanted to protect chikorita & even though he's a baby, he moves his hands back & forward & unleashed hidden power. The attack was red & blue & got rid of the embers & smacked Charmander. "COME ON CHAR! LET'S TEACH THIS PUNK WHO HE'S MESSING WITH!" The bullies was backing up their leader. "YOU CAN DO IT! SHOW HIM WHO'S BOSS!!" Charmander was mad & went head to head with scratch. Togepi was panicking.

Stevie calmed him down. "Don't worry. We got this far in these last few days together. You can do it with metronome." Togepi was smiling with courage from Stevie, wagged his hands & unleashed Night Shade, which was a dark beam coming from his hands & smacked Charmander hard & ko'd him. "NOOOO! BOSS!" The bullies leader was furious. "YOU CAN KEEP THAT WIMPY CHIKI! NEXT TIME, YOU WON'T BE SO LUCKY! I'M BEO & YOU WILL BE MY ENEMY!!!" They ran away back into the town & chikorita was glad.

"YOU DID IT TOGEPI! That's how you do it! I love you!" Togepi was glad. Chikorita hit Stevie's backpack & saw the pokeball. Chikorita was pointing at it. "You want to be my new friend? OK THEN!" Stevie threw the pokeball at Chikorita & it was a success. "YAAAAAAAAAY!! I HAVE A CHIKORITA!!" Togepi was thrilled in his baby voice. Then, a shadow was above Stevie & he looked up to see an owl.

"What is that?" Stevie took out his pokedex. "Noctowl, the owl pokemon. They look like normal owls, but have a triangle patterns on their chest & have horns that looks like trident. THey normally comes out at night & make their nests in trees of forests." "What's a Noctowl doing out here?" The noctowl dropped the something from it's mouth & flew away. Stevie caught it & saw that it was a letter. He opened it & it says:

"You have been invited to join in our battle tower. Want to know how to get there? Just find a blue, unusual looking ship." It was so decorated & togepi wanted to draw on it...

 

Will was on the docks when a guy ran up, challenging him. He grinned and activated his pokeball, it growing quickly in his hand. He looked around and saw no one to help him so he threw the pokeball, it flying high into the air as his Pikachu jumped into the ring. His Charizard needed to stretch so he would let it do this battle. As the ball landed a black Charizard emerged with a viscious growl.

Nicole rode her bike home and parked it in the front.

"Hi mom!" She waved to her mother heading inside. Eevee followed close behind.

"Hi Nicole, honey there's a letter for you on the table." Her mother called back.

"Ok." Nicole called back out. She scooped out some icecream and walked to the counter. She opened the letter and read it.

"Battle Tower..." Nicole looked to see her dad leaning over her.

"Yeah..." She said. "Cool." Nicole said.

The boy was unnerved at the sight of the shiny pokemon but this made Will grin as the boy sent out a Chikorita and a Totodile. "Easy pickings..." Will though. "Charizard, flame wheel!" He roared, the pokemon rushing forward with fire around his jaws. He then turned to the other pokemon. "Pikachu, thunder!" He shouted as the little pokemon zapped the water type in the snout.

Ty walked over to the battle. It did amuse him seeing two pokémon in action, so he let out his Kirla and Gallade to train each other as he watched the guy.
Ty couldn't forget about his real mission though.

Ty walked up to the kid who was just battling on deck, "That was really cool! You're a really strong trainer." Ty smiled.

 

"Thanks, though that kid wasn't really much of a battle. I'm Blains second in the Cinnabar Gym. Won the Poke'mon Kanto League twice." He leaned against a rail. "So, you want to battle with me? We might as well see if i have what it takes to fight in the Sinoh Battle Tower. Got this invite you see, but i heard the goings pretty tough." Ben laughed. "Besides, I bet this crowd wants to see my team at full power, and you look strong yourself."

 

"I believe my Pokémon are pretty strong." Ty smiled pointing to Kirlia throwing punches at Gallade and Gallade blocking them with his hands.

"Do you think you can teach me a couple of things about my Pokémon if I battle you?" Ty asked.

 

Will's Charizard roared forward, wings lifting it up into the air as it blew a large ring of black fire at the Chikorita, burning it and kncking it back. "Pikachu, Iron Tail!" He roared, his Pikachu darting forward at the dazed pokemon. The boy who had challenged Will was amazed at the pokemon that were devastating the field. Will realized the boat was here so he grinned and wanted to try something. "Pikachu, combine your Thunder with Charizard's Flamethrower!" He roared. The pokemon stood side by side, powers going forth and hitting both the Chikorita and the Totodile. Te other boy gaped as he dropped to his knees. "How could you have beaten me?" He sobbed. Will just returned his Charizard, let his Pikachu jump on his shoulder, and stepped on the boat leaving the crowd that had been watching in awe.

 

Stevie was wondering how he'll get to the battle tower, so he went into Twinleaf Town. He walked around, him & togepi enjoying the accessories that they saw as they went on to the peir. "Hm. I wonder..." Togepi was so thrilled at something as he pointed. Stevie turned around & was amazed. "A blue, unusual, that's it!! LET'S GO!!" Stevie went aboard on the ship with some other people.

"Get ready you lovely selective trainers. Enjoy the beautiful weather & the ride as we go out into the ocean to the castle of all battling."

 

Will stepped up with a large grin. "Nice man. I'm Will." He said, holding his hand out to shake Dimitri's. His Pikachu went up to Kezia, sniffing him. He then went to Roxor and sniffed him. He then went back to Kezia and held his hand out, saying. "Pika!
