Oh wow, shocking news to hear. While I'm not a huge fan of his work, my condolences certainly go to his wife and the rest of his family.

Have they released a cause of death at all?

 

I wasn't really a fan of Slipknot in general, but R.I.P. I found out this from a classmate who is a huge fan of the band, so yeah.

I don't think they have, or at least that what the news say. On their website they say that they're holding a press conference for remembering him, but I don't think that they're gonna reveal the cause of the death there, only discussing about the future of the band... I'm most likely wrong but zaaaa.

And they said no foul play or drugs were suspected.

Drug abuse was my primary thought when I heard about the death, just based on the past musicians who have died because of drugs (Cobain, Slovak, among others) and the general lifestyle which musicians are often associated with.

 

Actually man they said that Drugs are not very suspectable because after being arrested in '01 for drug charges Grew quit cold Turkey... and Cobain shot himself.

 

Yeah he did shoot him self Cobain, but I think they said he was using drugs at the point to but I don't know.

 

He was in rehab for 6 days, snorted a line of coke, went home to Seattle and shot himself.

 

There were traces of Valium and heroin when in Cobain's system when they found him. And he had escaped from rehab on his first day.

Regardless, to keep this on point, it still is quite sad and my condolences go to the family, friends, bandmembers, and fanbase.

 

Disappointing. One of the original members of the band, gone like that.
But like noz, not too much of a fan of the band (though their early stuff was pretty cool), but I still enjoy listening to them every now and then.
