    The font of the text; I dont like except the 3rd one. But not bad.

    I think the text on all three is poorly done. The third maybe does it best, but all three of them could use work as far as that goes.

    The second sig has some odd contrast going on. The colors don't really look that nice together, either. This is my least favorite.

    The first and third would be better with no text. The first one's render could be incorporated into the background better. Other than that, I don't really have any other comments on it.

    Just keep practicing and stuff.

    aside from the text on the first 2, everything looks well done. the blends fit well as well as the color choices

    Honestly, I don't even know why they gave you brushes. Who still uses those utterly bad things.
    Also, you need to use Gradient Map to blend you're stock in more.

    I still use 'em, sometimes. >_<

    I think part of the problem is color choice. The reds, purples, and blues in the background of the first sig you posted don't match nor compliment the colors in the render. If you liked using the reds, blues, and purples, you could have done like Demaian suggests and used a gradient map to make the render fit into that color scheme.

    Aside from that, I don't get a sense of organization from the background. It just looks like random brushing with no order, which I suppose could sometimes work, but I think there needs to be flow and depth to a sig.

    You know i have to agree with Demaian, brushes aren't really needed if you know what you are doing with the rest of the tag. I rarely use brushes.

    1st tag: My opinion of this is... UGLY ...sorry...
    The render seems to be resting his/her arm on something... and where in the world is that something?
    There is NO depth
    There is NO blending
    The colors do not go with render at all, and there is no flow

    2nd tag: Same story

    If you know how to use them properly, they're a tool like any other. I use different brushes for lighting, smudging, and some other, usually not-too-noticeable, effects, though I hardly ever use brushes to create a background anymore. *shrugs*

    Oh well when we said brushes, i though you meant brushes as in Like slapping a premade shape or form in there with the brush tool
    I use them for lighting and smudging as well
