Music section?

i vote to make this idea cause he's got a point. we gave an area for everything else. its only fair.

 

I like the idea, i also agree with what shadow is saying. Then perhaps more discussions about music will be held.

 

Come to think of it... That whole section seems to be a nasty mish-mosh of topics.
With an addition to a Music sub-section why not add a Movies one?
Or a TV one?

Because from what I see people in the Movie Review section give a few crappy lines
"OMG! Twilight rocked!!11" And then get a post count for it. Then fellow noobs swoop in and respond with:
"OMG! Iknows!!1!!1!1"
I've only seen a few in there that actually followed the format that was set-up for it. And I should stop now before I on ranting. I'll probably set up a new thread for my thoughts on this.

Aye, I love the review sections of forums when used properly.

The format can do with a slight adjustment though.



Music section I am up for, I will be very active there.

 

I thinks it's a great idea seperating the media threads. It looks like a mess in there anyways. If the idea has support there in no harm in trying.

I think it's a great idea, I have a life love of music. I cover songs myself and would be very happy if I could show some people and get some criticism etc, and just for fun

Also. it would serve a place for album reviews and band recommendations and the like, would be great.

Everyone listens to music, obviously.
Might as well have a section for it.

It only makes perfect sense.

 

This is where my doubts come in.
I've seen threads like "who like this band" which only gets spammed up by members going "Me!!!1!!11" or "I do, they rock" and just leave it as that.
Perhaps if members would make worth while threads like "Why do you like this band?" with replies discussing which is their favourite song, which part of the song is great, lyrics etc. It would then be worth while.

I personally like the idea of having a new sub forum for music, I'm always looking for different bands and artists and having a sub forum for it would make things easier for me.
Just conscious of spam that's all.

But that's what you get when you have a forum. It's really up to the Mods to check up and see if members are following the rules and such. It's a hassle, yes, but that's part of the job, right?

 

LP was ok, until thier MtM CD. they've gone down the crapper since that.

I think sharing will be a bit troublesome if not watched properly. Maybe a locked section of the forum, invite only so we don't get into trouble? Works on Moletown (my fav forum)
