Mundus Terra [OOC/SU]

{ The Story }

The year is 2039. Weyland Industries has only just recently completed the Terraforming process on planet GJ 667Cw. It has now been re-dubbed Mundus Terra by the soon to be inhabitants of this planet. With the promise of a new land that holds the key to the future of mankind many jump aboard the project. NeoSettlers, as they are now being called by the media, plan to use their techniques that they have gathered to make the new homes perfect ones.

After the large success of the projects on Luna, everyone believes this to be the future of the human race, the expand and grow and conquer all as their birthright. The poor wish to grow rich, the rich to grow richer. Some just wish to see the stars. But they are all happy and open to the idea. But some stand opposed.

In the shadows a group stands to destroy the chances of the human race from expanding their reign. They feel some of the secrets of the universe should stay just that; secrets. Harbored in the shadows of the slums of old colonies such as those on Luna and Europa, these protestors or the Contra Mundum Movement as they have been calling themselves lately feel the that the colony system is flawed and these new worlds are subject to the rules of tyrants eager to call a world for their own. But a much more sinister agenda seems to be lurking beneath this facade and maybe, in this universe, the CMM may not be the biggest threat Mundus Terra could face.

{ The Planet }

Mundus Terra is very large planet with alternating climates and geographies. Mountains and plains are very common and a very large desert also exists. The new colony has been set up in one of the more habitable spots of the planet in what has been called the Golden Belt region. It sets right in the center of the planet and is known for having a near perfect days year round.
