J sat on his throne acting very bored. He enjoyed being king but sitting on his throne enjoying red wine was not much fun. He sat up and looked at Lilly, "Ya know, I was thinking. Since our next meeting is'nt for another 2 hours, maybe we could have some lunch outside.

Lilly nodded and asked the chef to fix them a delicious lunch. They walked out to the north balcony and waited for their food.

Leo found Kairi and Elly together. Leo smiled and said, "Aunt Kairi, have you seen my dog? I don't know where scruffy went off to this time."

 

Elly giggled because of how cute Leo looked right now. She turned herself around to hide the fact that she was blushing a deep shade of red. Scruffy came running into the room and jumped on the bed, where he began to rub against Elly's leg. Elly patted his head and handed him to Leo, "There he is, Leo."

 

Kairi smiled.

"Were you and Scruffy playing hide and seek?" She asked him. She smiled at him. The minute he left Kairi leaned down next to Elly's ear.

"You should really talk to him you know, you can't hide your feelings for forever you know." Kairi whispered to her.




Nicole, or Nicky in which she prefered, walked through the hall of the giant castle. She stopped in front of a door. She crossed her arms.

"Oh come on Midnight, not today." She said to herself. She sighed and closed her eyes. She opened them and turned down the hall and stoopped at a door that was a crack open, big enough for a cat to go in. It was the kitchen. Nicky smield and opened the door. She entered in and found Midnight drinking some milk in the corner.

"Oh hello there young princess Nicole." The chef said. Nicky sighed.

"Still don't like your name, you were named after the great queen Nicole." The chef said. Nicky shook her head.

"I like my name, and it's a great honor, but everyone treats me with royalty as of a queen, replacing me with my great grandmother. I'm not her, and I don't want to be looked at as her." Nicky said. The chef got down a jar of cookies and leaned against the counter he opened up teh cookie jar. He picked it up and offered Nicky a cookie.

"Thanks." She took one.

"Well, Nicky you should just move on and ignore them, e who you are and impress them in your own way, and not yoru great grandmother's." The chef said taking a cookie for himself. Nicky looked at him.

"I guess, my names fine, but I still want called Nicky and looked at as Nicky." Nicky said. She walked over to Midnight who has now finished his milk and picked him up.

"Thanks for the cookies." She said before leaving teh kitchen. She headed down the hall up some stairs into a seperate wing of the castle. She and her grandparents, Kairi and John lived there. She went all teh way to the end of the hall and opened a door. She closed the door behind her and set Midnight down. He imediately ran over to his big cusion he had as a bed. Nicky jumped on to her bed. She buried her head in teh pillow.

"I don't want to be royalty." She murmured. She felt aimilar present behind her. She had inhereted powers like her grandmother and father. She rolled over seeing her grandfather. He walked in and sat down on the bed next to her.

"What's this about not wanting to be royaty?" John, her grandfather asked her.

"Everyone looks at me as great grandma, and there's been people when I went to town who I've heard say I should be queen, I like uncle J and aunt Lilly." Nicky said then buried her face in the pillow again.

"Whoa calm down, sweetie. Listen I can't tell you you're not royalty and I can tell you that you can live in the village, I prefer not to because there's no one to look over you, but look at me when I say this you are who you are, you're not Queen Nicole, you are Nicole, Nicky, my grandaughter, who could become queen." He smiled at her. She shook her head. John just laughed.

"Not funny." Nicky said. He smield at her and got up and left. She got up out of bed and ran to her balcony door and ran outside. She looked over the miles of forest and the small village below with a small woodland garden that was for the public and castle. She slid down to her knees resting her head on the balcony railing. She sighed for a while. She stood back up and ran downstairs. She ran past the throne room over hearing some talking. She backed up and opened the door some and peeked inside seeing a preist.

 

J nodded, "I see. I wish Brandon would return to us. When he finds out that my mom and dad are now dead, he's going to be sad." J looked sad himself. Lilly Sighed and put a hand on J's shoulder.

Leon sneaked up nehind Nicky and tickled her, "What's wrong? You seem sad for some reason. Is there anything I can do to help?" Leon asked. Leon was a very charming young man and he had a warm personality.

 

Elly blushed. She looked at Kairi and said, "I worry about him. Yesterday he was coughing up blood and he looked realy pale. I had to force him into bed. His body was as cold as ice. I feel sorry for him because he gets sick so often and it usualy is really bad when he gets sick. I really love him though. He makes me happy and I want to be there to hold him when he cries." Elly looked so serious.

 

Nicky turned around and looked at him.

"Listening in, I remeber hearing stories about great grandma and great grandpa from grandma, the priest in there is talking about him." Nicky said. "Then the same old same old." Nicky said.

"Good evening Princess Nicole." A servant said walking by. Nicky sighed.

"That's another thing. I don't want to be looked at as great grandma." Nicky said.

Kairi nodded.

"I know, that boy is in bad shape, but one thing is, like Nicole and my mother, they're tough and persevere anyways." Kairi said. When she said Nicole she meant Nicky.

"Anyways we should probaly go find Nicole and start training out in the garden." Kairi Said.

 

As Elly and Kairi looked for Nicky, Elly asked Kairi, "Do you ever worry about J? I saw him in the garden one time and he was crying for some reason but I don't know why." Elly was holding something in her fist. It seemed to be a note but it was hard to tell exactly what the item was.

Lee was in the garden taking a nap. He looked very calm and peaceful.

 

"Well, I'm pretty tough, I was able to get over my parents death, I remebered the good times, that's all that matters, I know my parents wouldn't want me sad and worried about them all the time, J though still seems to worry about them, the whole kingdom does. Plus to tell the trueth I've heard him talking to Lilly, I don't think he wants to be king and the many people like ny son and stuff who keep dying isn't making it any easier." Kairi said.

Nicky turned back around though and peeked in the door way.


"Nicole, Leon... what are you two doing?" Nicky jumped up and looked around seeing John, her grandfather.

"Grandpa.... we're..." Nicky was saying.

"Nicky, I've told you before, don't eves drop. Now let's go appoogise." John said. He opened the door and walked in with Nicky.

"Good day, yoru majesty, and wise priest." John said bowing. Nicky walked in arms crossed and looking out the window.

"Little miss trouble maker was eves dropping, again, she'd like to say something." John said. Nicky sighed.

"Sorry about that uncle J, so what are you-" Nicky was saying.

"Nicole!" john exclaimed. Nicky just looked away. She didn't like being called Nicole.

 

Elly nodded, "I never asked if Leo would want to be king. I'm not sure if J would let him. J seems to be really protective of Leo."

Elly heard the conversation between Nicky and the others. Elly followed the voices and stood there watching Nicky, "Oh come on. So what if Nicky was listening into J's conversation. She's family to J after all. Anyways, let's go train Nicky." Elly said with a smile. She knew that Nicole liked being called Nicky instead.

 

Nicky turned around and smiled.

"Ok cool, hey you want to come along Leon?" Nicky asked him. She ran over to them. She smiled at Elly and KAiri.

"Ok let's go." Nicky said. Kairi nodded.

"Later on today, J, I need to talk to you." Kairi said looking serious.

 

J nodded at Kairi.

Leon, Nicky, Elly, and Kairi walked out to the garden for training. Elly noticed that Lee was sleeping on a bench. Elly tickled Lee and he fell off the bench. Elly giggled. Lee smiled and said, "So mind if I watch you girls train?" Elly pulled out her staff and said, "Not at all. Just watch out cause our magic is pretty strong."

 

Nicky nodded and smiled.

"You defnately don't want to get yourself hurt." Nicky told him. Nicky walked over to KAiri and smiled.

"Alright let's get started. A few target practice first." Kairi said. Nicky nodded. Nicky made her staff show up and point it at the target. She closed her eyes and a beam of light came out of it and hit the target. She smiled.

"Good, Elly, Leon, your turn." Kairi smiled at both of them.

 

Elly fired a fire spell at a target that was far off. "I think that was pretty good." She nearly destroyed the entire target.

Leon casted fire on one of his arrows and hit a target. He smiled and looked at Kairi, "Was that good? Do you think I could do better?" Leon was showing his charming smile. He was a very handsome young man.

 

"All of them were really good. Now let's move on." Kairi said.

An hour later...


"Good work today guys, now I need to go talk to my brother." Kairi said. She walked off. Nicky watched her go.

"I wonder what's up with-" Nicky began saying before her head started hurting. She closed her eyes and saw a vision of a natural disaster hitting the town and everyone at the castle for protection. Nicky opened her eyes.

"There's a huge storm coming!" She exclaimed. "We need to get everyone to the castle ASAP!" She exclaimed again. She ran into the city. She kept running when she then ran into an older man getting knocked down. She rubbed her head. The man grasped.

"I'm sorry your majesty!" He exclaimed. "Please Princess Nicole, are you hurt anywhere!?" The man asked sounding worried. Nicky shook her head and stood up and ran off. She then forgot about the storm. She kept running to her secret hiding spot. She found the old house and opened the door. She fell to the floor and closed the door and layed on the ground.

 

Elly, Lee, and Leon ran into the castle and took cover in Elly's bedroom. Leon looked out the window and a rock flew in and hit him in the face. He fell to the floor bleeding. Elly wanted to help him but she was afraid she would get hit with a rock.

J saw Kairi in the hall, "Little sis, you okay? Please come with me. We need to take cover as soon as possible." He took her hand and he, Lilly, and Kairi went into a small room with no windows.

 

Nicky sat in the house looking at a picture of her parents and a picture of her grandmother.

"I'm not her, why does everyone think that." She said. The door then flew open.

"Ahhh..." She said trying to block the wind.

"What are you waiting for, people are still in town, go help them!" A voice echoed in Nicky's head. Nicky stood up and grabbed the picture. She looked at a drawer in the wall shaking it flew open a small case came flying at her. She ducked as the case hit the wall. She ran over and grabbed it.

"Emergencies only." The voice said again. "Now go!" Nicky held onto the case and ran out.

"EVERYONE TO THE CASTLE HURRY!" Nicky yelled. People were running to the castle they carefully ran around Nicky. She looked up at the storm. It was a bad storm.

"MOMMY!" Nicky turned to see a little boy screaming by a women who was passed out. Nicky hurried over. She saw the mother was hit with a stone the picked up and blowing around. She put the women's arm around her shoulder and proped her up. She hurried to the castle.

"Come on..." Nicky told the little boy. She hurried as fast as possible. Soon a bunch of people were in teh castle. The storm was getting to close. The gate had to be closed. Nicky threw the women in. The gate closed with her outside though. She turned around and looked at the storm. She and a bunch of other people were stuck outside.
