Love song lines that would make creepy pick up lines

    Anyway sometimes I play this game with a friend of mine. Sometimes, words come across a lot better in songs than spoken. Post a line from a song that would come across hilariously creepy if you actually said it to them to someone.

    For example:

    "Well I know when you're around 'cause I know the sound of your heart."

    I don't know that I'd call it a love song, or maybe it is, anyway the lyrics are

    "Your Heart's about to palpitate, And I'm not about to hesitate"

    Comes from Hard to Concentrate by Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

    Out of context it sounds a bit ominous.

    That song is basically a stalker anthem. Never understood why people think it is romantic. It's a perfect choice for this thread.

    How about a throwback to American Idol with Clay Aiken's Invisible?

    Haven't that one, Then again I'm terrible when it comes to music.

    Another one that comes to mind is in Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines,

    Over all the entire song is creepy but this should give you an idea of why

    "I hate these blurred lines/I know you want it/I hate them lines/I know you want it"

    I don't think this song is intended to be creepy or molest-y, but the lyrics can lead to unfortunate interpretations.

    I think this one had some controversy when it came out about it being a date rape song.

    Lionel Richie's Hello.

    I actually think this song has a beautiful sound, but the lyrics are in that same sort of "you don't know I exist but I love you" stalker category as some of the others we've mentioned.

    The music video is creepy as hell also, with teacher!Lionel crushing on a blind girl student and following her creepily through the school.



    Some lyric highlights:

    "I've been alone with you inside my mind
    And in my dreams I've kissed your lips a thousand times
    I sometimes see you pass outside my door
    Hello, is it me you're looking for?

    I can see it in your eyes
    I can see it in your smile
    You're all I've ever wanted, (and) my arms are open wide
    'Cause you know just what to say
    And you know just what to do
    And I want to tell you so much, I love you ..."

    Also, the Christmas favorite "Baby It's Cold Outside" is a little date-rapey.

    "So really I'd better scurry (beautiful, please don't hurry)
    well, maybe just a half a drink more (put some records on while I pour).
    The neighbors might think (but, baby, it's bad out there)
    say, what's in this drink? (no cabs to be had out there)...."

    "I simply must go (but, baby, it's cold outside).
    The answer is no (but, baby, it's cold outside)."

    A few examples. I still like the song anyway, though (one of the few Christmas songs I do like), but it's a song of a different era.
