'Lemonade Mouth' based on the book by Mark Peter Hughes, is a Disney Channel Original Movie.

It tells the story of five teenagers going through high school. None of them knew each other.

One was an anti-social shy girl
    One was the perfect student
    One was the nerd
    One was an un-athletic kid
    One was the New Kid

They met in one unusual place...

    Detention.

The movie has some narrated parts told by Olivia(Bridgit Mendler). She's telling about the sucess story of her band. She starts at the very beginning of how each of the band members got detention.

When put in the music room for detention with a simple constant dripping of the ceiling, a beat got started, followed by a melody, followed by a whole song.

When discovered by the music teacher(who was in charge of detention) they all think they're in more trouble. The music teacher thought they were wonderful and were the next big thing. Despite protests by all of them, it wasn't until the music teacher said they could be a new message, a revelotion, a change, that a spark was put in Stella(Hayley Kiyoko) to send a message to their school principal all about supporting the sports and letting the rest of the school fall apart.

    There started the beginning.

The movie tells the story about a band who rise up to send a message to the world...

You Can Do Anything if You Put Your Mind to It

I without reading summaries and going off commercials/trailers on TV was interesting because from what I could tell, it sounded like a story I had written(in the end it wasn't even close).

But when I watched the movie I instantly connected very closely to this movie. Most high schools are cutting not just art and music but other classes(especially music the most it seems) and putting money that could be used for something much better into sport programs.

In the new building they mentioned a new gymnasium in which my school had done two years ago and just this year they cut one of two music teachers at my high school.

I felt close to the movie because of that.

The movie was absolutely fantastic. When you think of a Disney Channel movie you think of High School Musical(yuck), Camp Rock(eh), Avalon High(... I actually haven't seen this movie yet), however this movie was great. I personally think it could of done really well in theaters and definately would have gone to go see it.

The cast for this movie was great, I absolutely love Haley Kiyoko was absolutely brilliant for Stella. I think she was probably the best one in the movie. The rest of them were very good as well.

I thought a lot of the affects added to the movie were very good.

I'm giving it a 9/10 more so I thought they should have tried for a theater release and thus sink even more money into the film.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie!! I haven't enjoyed a Disney Channel Movie this much since High School Musical. The music of Lemonade Mouth is much better than High School Musical's however. Definitely downloaded the entire soundtrack after I saw it :)

Kind of reminds me of The Breakfast Club, with the group of random kids meeting up in detention. Though, probably thankfully, the Brat Pack didn't burst into song.

I haven't seen this, dunno if I ever will, but it does make me want to check out the book. And maybe the movie, if I run across it one day on TV or something.

Lemonade Mouth does remind me of my school. We do have a new gym built about 5 or 6 years ago. Although we don't have a music program, we do have a band. Athletes, "jocks", do get better treatment than other activities at my school. Besides me and my personal life, Lemonade Mouth was a great movie; it was way better than most movies on Disney Channel. I enjoyed it!

    It wasn't bad.
The music though, never much liked Disney's taste of music. But let me tell you, it was WAY better music than any high school musical.
Good characters and stuff. Liked the movie.
    8/10
Could have picked some better actors, but most were good.
