Tetsuya Nomura, gaming director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise, was a guest recently at MAGIC ( Monaco Anime Game International ) 2017. There, he showed a screenshot revisting the world of Hercules in the city of Thebes. In the screenshot, Sora is depicted in his Power Form fighting yet another colossal heartless. It also shows his Keyblade Transformation abilities. Previously, we have seen this specific Keyblade transform into Pegasus's chariot but it can also becomes a shield. Screenshot and interview are below:

“This is the first time we show this screenshot of Kingdom Hearts III,” director Tetsuya Nomura said (via Gameblog.fr). “It’s happening in Thebes and they are fighting a new model of the Heartless. The Keyblade turns into a lot of things. Here it is a shield, but it can also be transformed into a chariot. This is called Power Form.”

Well, the gameplay aspects of KH3 certainly look promising. I mean, Keyblades being able to morph into things like shields is pretty cool.

I'm not fond of the keyblade transformations or the keyblades shift into a magical swiss army knife but after 0.2's KH2 centered gameplay and seeing a drive form it does give me some excitement.
So long as anything added is optional. I hate when game gimmicks are forced.
