    Keyblade Chronicles - Academy Days

“The is your Pilot speaking, we’re now entering Academy airspace and making our descent into port. We ask that all passengers and crewmembers remain seated and strapped in during this time, and until further notice, as the landing is expected to see some turbulence. Thank you, and welcome, to The Keyblade Academy.”

Clutching the bottom of his seat for dear life, Lars threw his eyes about the passenger’s area of the transport. He was honestly afraid of this experience called ‘Inter Space Travel’, and especially uncomfortable with the fact that it required being so far above the earthly plane that he had been accustomed to. To land, he thought, would be the bittersweet ending to a perilous journey. Unlike the many others seated in front of him, and the few seated behind him, he stole no glance out of the window at his side… at least, not until the pilot’s voice had rang out a second time, announcing that their destination was below them.

Immediately, he jerked his head away from the glass pane, and returned to his forward facing position. Ground was a long way down, and the place below didn’t look completely friendly at a glance. To think that his future would lead him so far from his home, and his family was something that had once felt untouchable. All it takes, he told himself in lieu of the looming prospects ahead, is for me to survive this. All it takes is for me to pull through it one piece.

"Master Vortio, the students will be arriving shortly."
"Ah yes, thank you for telling me." Vortio said to a young man that had come to his office. The man gave a courteous bow and left as Vortio gathered a couple scrolls and left his office. As acting head of the school, he always gave a speech to the new students, a sort of pep talk to the joys of the academy. He did the same for the students that were leaving the academy. Vortio loved to see how the students reacted to the school for the first time so he hurried himself to get to the landing platform as quickly as possible.

Sai was looking down, his hands glued to the arms of his seat. He was okay with flying, it was more about where he was headed. He didn't belong at the academy, he felt he didn't have any of the talent. All he knew was he suddenly had a keyblade, was that really the only requirement? Sai just kept thinking about back home. He didn't belong here, he wanted to go back.

"So there they are coming yet again. The same from year to year, fits to the picture", a man with messy brown dreadlocks and a long, thin pipe said as he approached the landing platform where Vortio stood. He was the Potions teacher of the Academy, and he knew very well that it wasn't in almost anyone's top list of studies in the whole campus.

"I heard from the other teachers on last nights meeting that there are quite many individuals that seem to hold remarkable talent for most of the subjects that we teach... but I can't imagine even one of the list that you shoved me that would really have any interest in my subject, boo-hoo", Kane said with bored tone as he continued smoking his pipe.

Peter watched their transport's descent from the window next to him silently, hoping it wont take too long till they can get off.It was not so much that he wanted to be at the academy, but rather he wanted to not be thise close to so many people he did not know.As others on the plan talked amongst themsleves throughout the trip he had tried to sleep for the most part, otherwise he just sat there and did nothing but think about what would happen next.

He did not think it was a mistake to come, not for a minute. He did wonder, however,if he would be able to make it throughout the duration, even through this first year.He shook off those thoughts and instead thought of how he could protect his world or other worlds when he was stronger. He breifly looked at the others,at least those he could see, before looking back, again hoping that they would land soon.

Shane sat uncomfterably in his seat. The trip to there destination had been long, and hard.He looked out the window in awe at the amazing view of The Keyblade Academy, but it didn't last long, Shane has had air sickness his whole life. Shane's stomach began to hurt from partly air sickness, part nerves. The academy was so big, and he had so little strength now, hopefully that would change.. He had one mission for when he was here. He wanted to be the greatest fighter ever to live, but for now he was going to sprint out of his seat and vomit. Greatness come's in small steps.

The quite girl sat in her seat looking out the window of the gumi ship the new students from their home worlds were flying to their new homes on. The ride was bumpy and miserable she'd admit, but she wouldn't let her bug it, plus she was use to being now and then on a boat during a storm. She sat calmy in her seat resting her arm on the arm rest and watching out the window entire time.

The girl looked up and smiled. Her name was Skye McGomery, a 13 year old destined for greatness, so her parents would tell her. She didn't want to let them down by that saying neither. She looked out the window and saw the world below them and smiled. "There it is... The Keyblade Academy..." Skye whispered and looked up and for the first time looked at the other kids her age on the gumi ship and frowned some, they all looked sick, scared, or just lost by what to think. Skye knew what she was thinking, this is it, the time to shine. She felt the ship shake some more obviously entering the atmosphere of the world.

She looked out the window and saw the world some below them, between the different levels of the clouds. She looked down at her hands and the blue gloves of her grandfather's on her hands. One of the few things that was saved from the fire, the chest belonging to her grandfather and a necklace belonging to her mother. Skye had cut the fingers off the gloves and gripped her hands tight togeather and looked up.

    This was it.

Lower and lower, the ship grew ever nearer the campus below. All along the aisle between the seats, everyone, whether the youngest of students, to the eldest of Masters was in motion, returning quickly to their seats. Even over the howl of the ship’s massive engines, the sounds of safety belts clicking on penetrated the cabin. The final click seemed to happen just in time, the transport hitting a quick jolt of turbulence just as the person far to the front had finished strapping in.

While he had been perfectly healthy, within reason, prior to now, Lars had grown nauseas. He held the bottom of his seat even tighter as the ship shook roughly against the shifting air currents through the clouds. His stomach lurched, as though it, in its entirety, was about to spatter out of his mouth in a single exhalation. Fighting against this feeling in his own sense of valor, he took a steady breath in, clutching his gut with his hand. “Uuugh. I hate flying!” he said aloud, though helplessly praying that the person next to him wasn’t paying attention. He was already failing his only objective, and it was more than unsettling. Please. Just land this thing before I have a fit.

"Ah Kane, how can you say that? The students love learning all the brews and concoctions that you teach them. I know a few that said your Elixer recipe saved their lives." Vortio calmly said. He knew what he meant, not many showed the same enthusiasm for Potions than they did for Combat or Magic. It was usually only when a Potion would save their life that they actually took Potions seriously. Vortio calmly glanced up and chuckled as he saw the ship sake."Ha ha, seems that the knights flying it want to give the new students a little shaking."

Sai was the last to buckle his seatbelt, doing it just before the ship shook violently. Sai grabbed the arms of his chair and closed his eyes, not wanting to see if the ship was going to crash. It shook for minutes that seemed like hours until suddenly it stopped. "Welcome to Keyblade Academy students. Please calmly exit the ship." Sai opened his eyes and let out a sigh of relief. He survived, but now he had to get moving. Since he was one of the students at the front, he undid his seatbelt and headed off first. The first thing he saw when he stepped off was a couple men standing off to the side, one far older than the other.Sai, not sure of what to do just stood off to the side as the others got off.

Vortio waited until all the students got off before he spoke to them all. "Greetings new students of the Keyblade. I am the school's headmaster Vortio. This is the Potions teacher Kane. Now, The knights that flew you here will first show you to your dormitories and then they will escort you all to the grand auditorium so that I may give you a proper welcome." Vortio gave a courteous bow to the students that a few repeated back nervously. Then he turned and left, heading for the auditorium he told them they'd be seeing him at.

Shane was one of the first to leave the ship. He sprinted off, all he wanted at the time was to get a breath of fresh air, and step on the sweet, sweet ground. As he stood there panting for fresh air, he didn't notice how amazing this place was. It was huge, easily the largest structure he had ever seen in his life. He stuck out his hand and summoned his all powerful keyblade. He examined it thoroughly. He then thought to himself. So it's all your falt, it's your falt that im here. He was blessed with the opertunity of a life time and he was not going to live it down. He was going to make the most of the time he had here.

Skye calmy stepped off and sucked in the air and grinned. 'This is it, no turning back, and I won't.' She thought to herself. She turned to the man walking up to them and spoke to them. Skye nodded. She had her two bags in her hands as she saw some of the knights step off and smile at all the students. "You can follow us." The one knight said. Skye smiled and walked with the other students to go to the dorms they'd spend their path to their destiny in.

Shane walked the followed behind the knight. He wanted to become one some day, or even go farther. He wanted to become a master. A master of combat. He wanted to help change the world with his strength, for now he was stuck in this school, he knew he was going to be great, he just had a feeling in his gutt, but he minus well have some fun while he was here. He ran up to the nearest person. It was a girl with short blond hair and blue eyes. He reached out his hand. "Hay, im Shane, what's your name? He said shakely.

Skye was surprised when the random boy appeared next to her. Skye turned and mentally smiled to herself, it's been a while since she had a friend, most people knew her and her family from her bad brother and labalized everyone else bad including her grandfather which made her remember the harsh memories of that, Skye quickly shook the thought and smiled at the boy. "I'm Skye, nice to meet you. So what world are you from?" Skye asked him as she had her hands behind her back but quickly saw professors all over slowly coming out and she returned to her stance of straight and tall, looking proud, one thing she definately was. She looked at the boy and grinned some as her messenger bag hung on her shoulder and other bag in her right hand.

Sai grabbed his suitcase and slowly followed the knights and other students. It wasn't until they stopped that he bothered to pay attention to what they were saying. "...And we'll be back up to get you in five minutes. For now, girls head to the right and boys to the left. Each room is labeled with two names; find your room, meet your roommate and be ready in five so we can take you to the auditorium for the Headmaster's speech." The students started to file off in their separate directions and Sai followed the rest of the boys to their dormitories.

Sai looked at each door until he found his name. He didn't even bother reading the name of his roommate, instead just heading in and grabbing a bed. The room was a dull tan color and was pretty big. On each side of the room was a bed and a desk. Sai looked at the desk and saw a note on it. He grabbed and read it off in his head.

Students are allowed to decorate the room as they wish so long as nothing is permanent. Feel free to set up posters or pictures however you wish. -Your Headmaster, Vortio

Sai crumpled the note and tossed it aside. He reached in his stuff and pulled out a single picture of his family. He placed it on the desk and gazed at it. "I don't belong here."

Peter was near the end of the boys as they walked to the dorms. He carried a bag with some clothes and small stuff in one hand, having not brought much with him.He eventually found his room and walked in,forgetting to check the name of his new roommate.

Noticing that his roommate had already claimed one side,Peter went over to the other side and placed his own stuff onto his new bed,not bothering to take anything out yet.Noticing a note on his desk,he quickly read it.'Not much that Im going to be putting in here anyways.' He thought to himself before going around his desk and looking at Sai.

"Hi there,Im Peter." he said, holding out his hand for a handshake with a small smile. He thought it best to atleast not be on bad terms with someone he was going to be living with for a while.

Sai didn't pay much attention to his roommate, he was too busy thinking about home. It wasn't until a hand was shoved in his face that he noticed him.

    "Hi there, I'm Peter."

"Sai." he replied as he shook the kids hand. Sai glanced him over but then turned his attention away as he pulled his hand back. Sai didn't know what to say, he wasn't much of a talker. But he felt he had to say something. "So, uh... where are you from?" Sai asked.

Peter had put his left hand in his pocket when Sai had turned around, trying to think of something to say before Sai started to talk.

"Ah,Im from Kairos." Peter said as he thought of his home world again before shaking his head quickly."How about you, what world are you from?" Peter asked as he put his other hand in his pockets as well, briefly wondering how long it had been since they had to get to their rooms and soon back out.

No sooner had the ship touched ground, had Lars bolted from his seat… rather, he tried to bolt from his seat. It was a pretty tricky thing to do when he had a safety strap holding him down though. This attempt met with an embarrassing yank back into his seat, reminding him that he was still buckled in securely; a rough denial of getting back to his feet. He thought he heard a snicker or two from nearby, though a look around had him assured that no one had been watching. Thankful for the lack of a scene, he unbuckled, and reached into an overhead storage, within which his personal belongings had been tucked away.

They weren’t much, nothing more than a small, woven sack with a few sets of villager clothes from before the exiles, and a couple of trinkets he had had the time to salvage from previous home. For the moment, he was satisfied simply to have arrived at his destination in one piece, albeit having nearly vomited all over the floor. That would have been humiliating, he told himself, to both myself, and to my family.
“Hey!” He looked up at the voice of the pilot, who stood framed threateningly in the door to the flight deck. Not terribly frightened, but cautious all the same, Lars approached the man.

“Kid. You DO realize that everyone else has already gotten off the ship, right?” Throwing his gaze away from the pilot, Lars realized that he was indeed the last person left on board the ship. “Common kid,” the pilot said. The man gave nothing more than a quick wave of his hand, and Lars found himself brushed to the front of the cabin. Immediately after, he felt that same hand push against his side, ushering him out onto the landing platform, where he fell in with the masses of his peers, hopefully unnoticed.

He was fortunate, he supposed, for the pilot, a Keyblade Knight, had amassed the others behind him, escorting them from the landing site to a building nearer the hearts of the campus. The walk had yielded little to him. His mind was fixed more on his destination at that point than how he was getting there. He scattered with his classmates, following the instinct to go with the group. In this company, he had found himself along the boys’ side of the dormitory, along which he was quickly able to locate his room. “Lars Maan and Shane Long,” he read softly, wondering if “Shane Long” would be worth having around.

He shrugged, and walked into the room, instantly taken away by the foreign comforts with which it was stocked. The thought of having a bed was, in itself, something unheard of to him, though he was certainly familiar with them; the villagers had had beds in their homes, though not nearly as inviting as these ones were trying to be. “This is weird,” he said aloud.

Skye looked up and heard the announcement and saw all the girls quickly rush away. Skye looked back at Shane. "Oh looks like we're heading to our seperate dorms, maybe I can catch up with you some other time, by Shane!" She said saying his name so she would forget it before taking off a quickly light jog.

She made it to her room and set the stuff down and got out the key that was given to her. She opened the door not bothering to read who her room mate could be. She walked in and looked at the room. She walked in and walked over to the bed closes to the rather large window seat. She looked at her set up and set the stuff on the bed.

    Her room(am slightly bored)-

    _______ -- ________
    || _____
    |_|____|

    -- window
    --Desk
    --wall
    --bed

Was set up where her bed's head board was against the wall coming out into the room. The desk against the same wall of her bed's headboard. She had the window near her bed and it went out some with a large inside ledge acting like a window seat. She started unpacking her bigger bag setting up her bed with the sheets and comforter...

(in a very picture mood.. JCPenney : Limealicious Quilt & Accessories)

She slowly unpacked the other things. There were book shelves on the wall and she put a few books up on the shelf of different things, for enertainment and study. She got out a poster of the sunset of Destiny Island and taped it on the wall. She started putting school supplies back in her desk and looked at the note. She nodded to herself understanding. She had a stuff dog, bunny, and dolphin she reciever from her parents when she was a child and a pillow and put it on the window seal with a spare blanket. She looked at her new room and home, she smiled at it and had one last touch to add. She pulled out a photo frame that meant a lot to her father because it's the only surviving photo of Skye, her father, and her mother. She smiled at it and sat it up on the desk. She laid back on the bed and smiled to herself, it was time for her to make dad and mom proud and bring back glory to the McGomery family.

"Traverse Town." Sai replied. He was hoping the knights would come back. Sai wanted to hear the Headmaster's speech, maybe he would say what it takes to be a keyblader; because frankly Sai felt he didn't have what it takes. Sai stood up and looked out into the hall, to see if he knights were coming back. He didn't see any so he sat back down on his bed and sighed.

Shane heard his name, near the boys dorms. He waved awkwardly to Skye as she walked away. Shane then walked to his room were he saw what he thought was his room mate. He was a average height for his age, but he looked quite different. He was strong, stronger then most thirteen year old's. He made Shane look like a twig. He looked at the room and noticed how horribly bland it was. He instantly took out a picture from his bag. It was of his family. His mom, dad and him. He missed them greatly already. Then he noticed he was being very rude. He walked across the room and introduced himself. "Name's Shane of Traverse Town. What about you?"
