Appearance: Certainly a young man of a great quantity of physical merit, Orion is one of those charming guys, whose looks stand out amongst the crowd as more matured than most others. He stands at a little over six feet tall, with a lean, life cut of a body, and is visibly well proportioned. His hair is purely black, curly, forming up in a short afro, with clean shaven sideburns running down the length of his cheeks. This seems to leave the area around his chin in a nice bit of rugged look, while still being well under control. His eyes are a shade of gray. Having designed a new variant of The Dark Mark in secret, a space around the bottom end of his forearms bears the visage of a serpent, wrapping around the form of a skull. This area is treated with great sensitivity, and almost always has something cover it; to throw off suspicions, he balances the the appearance out by always keeping the other forearm covered.

Personality: Looks deceive would be the phrase that seems to come into mind when one ponders Orion Marx as an individual. He looks like a well meaning, sincere young man; but on the inside he's always crafting some scheme or another to assert himself into power. His primary practices seem to fall under the spectrum of seduction. He's just one of those people that'll sweet talk others into pretty much anything he can, and often, he'll leave them for naught in the end of things. The notions of friendship? Well, while such a thing exists with him, it's reserved only for those he deems as worthy of such a pleasure. This usually falls into the realms of wealth, and family blood-purity; but then, he had been known to forge unlikely alliances.

Bio:

Family Endeavors

Originally, Orion Marx wasn't actually from Great Britain, or even any of the territory around, or controlled by said Nation; but his family did always have a history there, to be certain. Prior to Hogwarts, Orion had lived with his parents, Leah, and Marcus Marx, within a small, mostly pure-blooded suburb in the United States heatland. Surrounded by others so much like themseleves, and so suseptible to the folly-filled coaxes of this purity, the Marx family had started their time there in prominence. Marcus harbored ambition, matched only by that of his wife. Together, they made a series of pacts with other pureblooded wizards, some of whom were former supporters of the Death Eater movements of Voldemort. Under these pacts, the Marx family had begun what became known as The Alliance of Purity (catchy name, huh?). The AoP provided backing from neighbor to neigbor within the community, holding up those long since demonized ideals when they were challenged. It was, as some might describe it "Death Eaterville."

But at the same time, the Marxs' endeavors were as sinister, if not more so, than what Voldemort had orchestrated. And oddly, being on a much smaller scale, proved to be more effective, for each member operated outside of a central authority. It was a democratic set up, a commune in which each person involved was loyal not to just the figurehead of a Dark Lord, but to the group at large; All for one, and one for all could have suffied as their motto. With this unique system of operation imposed on the group at large, The Alliance of Purity pressed forward, taking on both Muggle and US Ministry forces alike. Death was a given on either side of the struggle, and even Muggles seemed to latch onto the action, though not knowing fully well what was happening. Still, The AoP held itself as the dominant enforcement of wizard 'law'. With no true authority figure, and no bond of allegience to the Alliance other than one's own oath, the Marx family was able to remain amongst those tactful enough to remain unlinked to the events happening. They were, for several years into their regime, in the clear, acting with utmost impunity.

Flight To Britain/Enter Orion

Inevitably, The AoP was a construct that was never meant to last; at least, not cosmically, as the Marx couple had been under the impression that it would oust the US Ministry, and seize control. But they were in this case mistaken, and quite gravely. By the time The AoP had reached its pinacle in influence, Marcus Marx had come out in full force, taking action more into the open, as The Alliance as a whole had deemed the time right to kick their operations to something more than civilian attacks. Their new prize: The US military. With a band of about ten other wizards, Marcus took flight on broomstick in a bid to take down any militant installations that might have been able to challenge The AoP rise in power. it was in this bold move that marcus sealed the fate for his "American Purity Movement." In this run on making a statement to all, Marcus was captured, quite remarkably, by Muggle MPs, who had been informed of the situation through the US links between Wizard and Muggle government. They were going to try Marcus on their own courts, and put a stop to things.

Luckily, Marcus had a friend in wait for just such an occassion, and he was sprung from captivity, and returned to the Wizard Community, where plans for a withdrawal were underway. The entirety of The AoP was going to scatter to as many different countries as possible to avoid capture. The Marxs had been voted in as the British sector of the fallback operation. Naturally, the two of them complied with this vote, and as the lot of wizards scattered from the Sates, Leah and Marcus retreated to the land from wence their ancestors had come from: Great Britain. Durning this period of retreat, Leah had concieved a child, which, after nine months, was born as the son of the Marx family: Orion Marx, unknowingly an heir to both Slytherin on his father's side, and of course, a brutal endeavor of blood purity, spearheaded by his parents. Those earliest years of his life were spent in priming to reassume hsi father's mantle, long after the he had passed on, and regroup The Alliance, though under both an expanded membership, and a brandnew title: The Skull Dwellers.

Years Passed By

The years were swallowed whole by the passage of days, and before anyone knew, Orion Marx had been carted off to Hogwarts for his first year of school. He would return from this 'campaign' victorious in having earned the trust of professors, and made powerful allies with connections to the British Ministry. The years proceeding this would follwo a similar code, with designs being drawn up, and schemes being, at times, so descretely implemented by outside hands, that Orion himself was left unaware of them until the last minute. Finally having reached his seventh year of school, things seem quite sound for his family's bid for power. Passages have been secured, and the building, to some extent, mapped out for most occassions. There may even be a teacher running in league with Orion to help him on the inside, when the time comes.
