A girl is bullied for the last 7 years of her school life, and since she isn't good at remembering names, nothing is done about it, no matter how much her mother tries to get something done. When she was 14 she ran away from home because she felt like she couldn't take it any more, but was took home the same night. Between the age of 13 and 17 (a year after she left school) she use to think about killing her self.

Anyway when she was 12, she got in to a fight with a black girl who was picking on her, and she made a comment about the other girls skin colour (she later said sorry for this). The same day the girl was told off for what she had said to the black girl, but one of the teachers she went to for help when she was 11 but he did nothing to help. Another teacher we went to at the same time got right in her face and said she 'deserve everything you get' and for years she believed this.

Althought what she said was wrong, do you think it was fair, that the girl was bullied for 7 years with not much help but still punished for what she said to the black girl?

On a side note she had no friends at school so she had no one her own age to talk too.

Maybe you should begin chronology because the story is all over the place.
    What exactly is your involvement?!

From what I understand, it's unfair at parts but life is unfair! Clearly I know what side your on!
Oh I assume the girl that is being mistreated unfairly is "white" or what?

"Pray and believe on God." ... ... ... that is the only words I can say. She does not deserve it but at the same time, she is still being mistreated. Doesn't mean that she should continue suffering. She will receive help.

Firstly, I'm sorry to anyone who has to experience 7 years of bullying. It's a severe problem in just about every walk of life. That in and of itself, is unfair.

However, I believe that two wrongs don't make a right...making an off-hand remark about someone's skin in a hurtful way is not ok. That needs to be understood. I'm not claiming it's any more or less wrong than other forms of bullying, but that's inexcusable as well.

Ultimately, what I feel it boils down to is that there are certain 'hot button topics' that people fixate in any given time period. Currently, from what I can see, it's racism and homophobia. Take this with a grain of salt, as I don't mean to say anything offensive to anyone, but the fact that there is a day to end 'homophobic bullying' is something I see as unfair. I'm not saying homophobic bullying is right, it's clearly an uncouth practice that should be eliminated. But there are so many that are bullied for reasons such as socio-economic status, or being intelligent. Such people typically 'slip through the cracks' so to speak, and cannot identify with a 'day to end homophobia.' That in and of itself is unfair.

Bullying is bullying...that's how it is. The different forms of bullying are not any more or less right, and while bullying itself is unfair, this false dichotomy of bullying into 'ok' and 'not ok' that's something that is unfair in this world.
