Is this game still popular

No, you're most certainly not the only one who still finds the first game completely endearing. In fact, I was playing the game earlier today and I still love it.

Oh and to add to the topic, Yeah the series is very well known throughout the world. In fact, there are several people I know that knew of Kingdom Hearts, but not Final Fantasy - I understand where they come from, but man..

There are those who adore the series and all its child-like wonder and there are those who despise it for those very same reason. You could head on over to Gamefaqs.com to find the majority of those haters..

I'd say this game is stil popular, people I've met who don't even like video games in general have played this game and have enjoyed it, personally this isn't my favorite game in the KH series but that's only because of the gameplay, story wise however, KH has the greatest storyline and it has the only ending that has made me cry, with the exception of BBS ( I wasn't expecting to cry at the end of this but it just got to me lol) so yea KH still popular and still a great story

 

Yea,people still know of it,and it is still popular.While it isnt my favortie,the others,including my favorite,wouldnt be possible without it.Plus it is still fun.

Look at the people on this site.Many come from different parts of the world.Most,if not all,still like the original Kingdom Hearts.That says something about its popularity everywhere.

 

Agreed. Theoretically speaking, otherwise there wouldn't be a reason for Square Enix to work with Disney to produce sequels- or even prequels for that matter, in the case of Birth By Sleep, their latest work. Kingdom Hearts have got to be still fairly popular, if not very popular.
