Iraqi Cross Memorial

US Troops placed a memorial for the live of the troops lost in the Iraqi war. The gov't is debating removing the cross. The case is going to the supreme court now. If they deem the cross in unconstitutional, they will remove it.

What's your opinion on this? Do you think the cross is unconstitutional?

I for one, believe it is not. Our founding fathers based this country's constitution on our faith in God. Now we are starting to ignore that fact. The world does not accept the values of christianity that our forefathers held so close. I know that there are people here who do not believe as I do, so I do not say these things to offend. But the foolishness of men is truly astounding.

The fact that the US is now ignoring God, in fact, the US is now openly rejecting God, will be the downfall of the United States. They're not ready to remove the memorial because of where it is, but because it is a cross.

Let's just start off by saying that the Cross is not unconstitutional. Whoever thinks that is an extreme idiot. Seriously.

The military placed the Cross to honor the troops who have sacrificed their lives in Iraq. If the government takes the Cross down, then they're showing that they don't have any type of respect for our troops. And that is extremely messed up.

All the liberals in the government really piss me off.

What about the few troops that are Muslim in our military that have died? Buddhist (Contradictory, much?)? Another major religion I can't think of?? Would you want them to go unremembered? I assume the gov't people would erect another memorial in the pace of the first, but in a more abstract structure.

Taking the cross out. What is the goverment is heading to... The cross represents that God is watching over their lives & that those we has been praying for has a better life spending eternity with God. That's what I think. Still, I think this will end up being a religious debate somehow.
