I think I might know who the Mysterious Figure is

I pretty sure it's the kid that left Destiny Island that Riku was talking about. He said he is probably really strong now, any other ideas?

 

I think that's correct. He's the only loose end in the story, as of this moment.

Did the kid live there? Was he noticed/called/seen from the end of the story?..

 

I'm fairly certain that the 'kid' that Riku was talking about was Master Xehanort.

And where is Master Xehanort and Ventus at in the very beginning of the game? Destiny Islands. Therefore, Riku is not talking about the Mysterious Figure. He is talking about Master Xehanort.

Oh, and there is a cutscene somewhere where you see somebody's back at Destiny Islands, and that person has white hair. Not many characters have white hair. But Master Xehanort does.

 

Yeah, I was gonna say the same thing as DW so I'm with him on this one. The mysterious figure's identity is still........a mystery.

 

??? Can you show a video to back it up or something? I do not even remember him saying that at all.

 

So why such the big age leap if it is him? Within Riku's life as a child, Xehenort grows from an adolescent into an old man. What gives?

 

Let me clear some things:

@Hope. The Mysterious Figure that we are talking is the oen taht we fight as an optional boss in Birth By Sleep Mix (Which is why this thread is in the Birth By Sleep section). What you are thinking is Xehanort's Heartless in the brown cloak that was talking to Sora in Kingdom Hearts I.

@everyone else: Master Xehanort when he was younger did not know Sora and Riku. The two of them along with Kairi was not born yet around that time when he was living on Destiny Island. As for the timeline itself with him going from a young man to a elder, I can say that he went from his 20's to his 50's/ 60's. That is how I pictured it. As for Riku saying about a child that was living, it has to be someone else that we never met but there is a problem though. We do not know how old the child is.

Now if he/she is a teenager, then it is possible for the person to fit in that description but we do not know. Now if Riku and Sora was around 4-5 years of age when they first met the person and the child was, in my opinion, around 13-15, then 3-4 years later, the person would have been 16-18, which would be near or close to Aqua's and Terra's age. Anything less than the age of 12 would not work since Terra and Aqua are more of an adult and remember that Ventus was not of age to take the Mastery Test so I assume that Ventus is around 14-15 at that time.

However, when you look at Ventus, it is possible that Riku could have been talking about him. Ventus was born (I think) on Destiny Island and he is close to the age with Sora and Riku. Ventus is not the Mysterious Figure but Ventus was able to wield a keyblade around his age. Still, if Ventus is the child that Riku was talking about, then it would completely cut everything about the mysterious figure is the child who left the island that Riku talked about because the Mysterious Figure and Ventus are two different people and both wields different elements.

 

For all of you who are saying the person Riku is talking about (The one who left the island) is somebody other than Xehanort, you are all wrong.

No, Riku is talking about Xehanort. I'll get around to explaining a bit later in the post.

You're getting into people's ages for no reason (Also, yes Ventus is 14 or 15 but that is not the reason he wasn't allowed to take the Mark of Mastery exam).

No. Nowhere in the entire game does it ever hint that Ventus is from Destiny Islands. And no, he is not close to the age with Sora and Riku. He is probably at least 10 years older (I'm just pointing out that your sentence doesn't make any sense).

You're going off on some random direction because Ventus is not the person that Riku was talking about, nor does his ability to use a keyblade have any use in this conversation.

Now, on to my explanation.

As I pointed out in my previous post, Xehanort once lived in Destiny Islands. And he is the person that Riku says left the islands.

Now, to help my argument, here is the scene in question.

At approximately 3:30 in the video, Riku mentions the individual who left Destiny Islands. Here is, word for word, what he says:

If anybody would bother to look at the wording, Riku never once mentions that he knew the person who left the islands. Only that he heard about somebody who did.

After Riku says that, Terra hallucinates as he looks at Riku's back. He sees the back of somebody who looks to be about the same age as Terra. Considering that we have never once seen this character before (Although he looks very much like Xehanort when he was Ansem's apprentice), it is simple to assume that Terra's hallucination is a young Xehanort. After all, the number of non Disney and non Square characters that have white hair like that can be counted on one hand. And then the hallucination (And kid Riku) turn to face Terra. Before we can see the hallucination's face, the hallucination turns into KH2 Riku, similar to what Xehanort does near the end of KH1.

At 4:00 in the video, Terra asks Riku why he's interested in the outside world. Here is what Riku says:

To be fair, what Riku says doesn't really hint to who left the islands. But we do know (Again, through reading the Xehanort reports) that Xehanort left the islands at a fairly young age, most likely young enough to still be called a kid by adults. Therefore, if an adult were to tell Riku that long ago a kid left the islands forever, then Riku would most likely call the person a kid, even though he is an old man as Master Xehanort.

 

Ok. Now that makes sense now that you have a video that backs it up. The person is Master Xehanort who is the kid . In other words, he was 16-his 20's around that time. However, it does not mean that Riku and Sora was existing around that time like I had stated below. His parents could have known Master Xehanort and then told Riku when he was born.

However, I was getting more into age in order to get more into as to who could be the Mysterious Figure. That was actually the main topic that I was aiming after and what I was staying on. Master Xehanort was not my top priority at that time. Master Xehanort is the child who left so we should all know that Master Xehanort is not the Mysterious Figure. Still a mystery.

 

I think the mysterious figure is Xemnas why he uses the same weapon like Xemnas.
