How active are the RP forums here?

    Hi all,

    I'm an old-school RP'er that started 11 years ago over AIM and have RP'ed on and off ever since. A few friends of mine back then may be interested in starting another RP but we always have trouble finding others interested in joining. Before I work on digging up the plot synopsis and my character profile, I was wondering how active this forum is, and if anyone would even be interested?

    To break it down it'd be an original plot with a mixture of original and/or hybrid characters from games. Meaning, you're welcome to use a completely original character all your own, or you can pick a character from a game/anime and apply your own personalities to him or her, or even just use elements from a game/anime.

    There would be three of us participating and I'd like to lock in a solid five or six (total) dedicated, intelligent writers for this RP. The style would be fantasy warfare with some/mild romance, so in addition to being a spectacular writer, playing your character balanced and somewhat realistically amid fantasy settings (magic, swordskill, etc.) is important. For fights and battles, knowing your characters strengths, weaknesses', applying damage and even doing the same in writing as a central enemy if it's considered an NPC, are all necessary skills to make this RP effective.

    A main plot will be provided but side plots, especially those that improve character development, are very welcome.

    I don't believe in posting orders but I'm looking for people who can make the effort to check the thread at least once a day, and attempt to reply at least once every few days. If something comes up, have the courtesy to leave an OOC message - I hate getting started and then losing a crucial character.

    If you're interested in something like this please post below and if you have a sample of your writing I'd love to take a look.

    RP Forums are fairly active. Depends on the time of day and if people are doing anything IRL, though, you know? It also depends on the type of RP and the people who participate in it; if they're not great writers than it's going to be hard to keep interest in it.

    I'd totally be down for something like that; lots of character development, hella good plot, and character interaction. And I'm sure there are other great RP'ers here who'd also be interested in it.

    The RP forums are fairly active. they are active enough that pages of content can be achieved in a day depending on who joins that is. i say give it a shot you don't have much to lose. i'd like to see you RP not that you mention you've been RPing for that long , as have i.

    I've been RP'ing for quite a few years, writing even beyond that. The RP forums here is an average activity. It comes down to what members join and become involved. We have quite a few advance RP'ers here as well vox, requiem, wayward, and myself I'd classify as some of the most advanced. Then there's some very active RP'ers here vox, Taboo Sho, King of Darkness, and myself to name some of the most active.

    Another thing that'll go into making sure your RP is successful and it would come down to the general story and plot. I've written and have helped develop some of the most successful RP's this Forums have seen, so please feel free to PM your plot idea and I can give you a general idea of how active, successful, and who all would join and who'd be good to join.

    But overall, from advance to amateur, this RP Forum here at KHPlanet like to have fun with their writing, so give it a go and hopefully it'll be successful.

    I'm pretty new here, but I figured I'd post anyway seeing as I'm interested in your post. I got into online RPing fairly recently but have been running/playing tabletop RPGs for years. Fantasy warfare with a hint of romance seems like a good basis for a fun RP. Since most of the RPs I participate in use "anime physics," a more realistic approach is also something I would like to try. I would be interested in hearing some more details about the plot.

    I've been RPing for a while now and pretty consistent when it comes to posting (besides my busy schedule lately). If I see a plot and story, completed, I'd be interested.

    In response to the original question, the activity varies. In all the RPs I'm in, the posting can be anywhere from a day to several weeks between posts. They haven't been given up on, though. For the Solace of Nirvana, it's been going for almost two years now (Though Hope hasn't been active enough to make her move, it seems). Depending on who you enlist, the posting rate will change.

    Yeah. As everyone has already said, the RP section here is reasonably active. We've got quite a few individual RPers that maintain activity. But they're mostly consolidated to two or three RPs. I'd be more active, but I'm on a limited schedule due to summer travels. But I'm always game to lend an idea.

    Heck, hit me up for some ground pounding action in the arena if you'd like to though. I trust that you could give me a good run over there.
