Hold on a minute! Did anyone else notice this?

Now, I noticed this a LONG time ago, but I've decided to bring it up: in KH2, Xigbar, Demyx, and Luxord never introduced themselves! How does Jiminy know their names in his journal?

 

He knows a lot more than just that. How is it he know the names of the different heartless and nobodies ? I think that it's not really a journal but rather just a log and resource guide.

 

And how does he know about Demyx's Sitar, and more importantly, why on Earth does he use these " marks with it? (He writes it as "a sitar" .. Bad Jiminy.)
As if a sitar wasn't really an instrument! D:<

 

well, I had always assumed that he just gave names to the Heartless and Lesser Nobodies, do you suppose that he does the same for the organization members that didn't introduce themselves?

 

What I want to know is how Jiminy knows all of the Organization members in CoM when at the end of that game, their memories got scrambled and Namine erased all Castle Oblivion memories.

 

Most likely because he regained his memories for him to remember. If you include Coded, then you can say that the journal has a mind of its own. As for how Jiminy knows the name of the Organization members, let us all just assume that he knows the final fantasy "scan" version ability.

 

Hmm, never really thought about it, I did realise Xigbar never said his name though, in any of the games.
I've always wanted to know how to pronouce it, with the amount of ways X is pronouced

 

If the Journal is that powerful, i'm pretty sure it wouldn't have been erased TWICE. =P

 

I did say that Jiminy might know a "Scan" ability. Plus, the journal did took the form of a data version of riku so Namine can be responsible for it.

 

Namine specifically said in the end of CoM that the gang would lose ALL memories of Castle Oblivion. This includes all of the Organization members Sora fought. It doesn't make sense that Jiminy knows the names of these members since we never see them again in KHII nor are they mentioned.

 

I'm going to refer to what I know of Coded's plot to resolve this question. According to Coded, [spoilers] the Journal is sentient, and quite probably remembers everything that happened in Castle Oblivion since it's own memories weren't erased, even if its pages were made blank. Following this logic, it's easy to see how the Journal could have filled itself in during KH2.[/spoilers]
