Final Fantasy Versus 13 has not been canceled

    Rumor or not, if they did cancel it, it would be a shock to me even with all of the games that they are making. Still, do all of you think that the Final Fantasy games now are still as good or did they just... went bleh?

    Well I think that the games have lost there touches just like pokemon, but there will always be big hardcore fans that will like there games no matter how bad the game is. I mean look at FF13 it was a pretty awesome game, that alot of people thought it was the right direction for S.E., while others thought it sucked the story was boring, the gameplay was easy. Well take out the Autobattle and you have your self a pretty solid FF game. So there will always be haters/lovers on any final fantasy game.

    It would've surprised me if they had trashed the game, with how many years they've put into making it. Surely that would have been a ridiculous amount of money down the drain. Not to mention the amount of time and effort people have put into it.

    Still, all these XIII continuations surprise me, because I didn't think the original was that loved. *shrugs*

    It is just going to be a FFVII imitation Kitty. <_< I can see it and feel it now. And Koda, you just need to know this. From Final Fantasy XII (Or was it FFX-2), people has been complaining as to how the storyline really just do not make any sense, a game is always missing an important element, no minigames, no side quests, or how the characters just blow the player(s) away. The older I get, the more I start to understand why people did not even like FFX-2 and it is starting to make me steer away from it a little bit. I guess the people can see how much the games have changed over the course of history.

    I honestly thought that FFX-2 was the best final fantasy game to date, it was fun, it had mini games, and it a deeper story between the characters. Look I guess people will have arguments to which Final Fantasy games are better, Like I thought that FF 7 was the worst final fantasy game ever but I'm sure millions will disagree with me on that.

    Yeah, but VII has a massive fanbase, whether or not you believe that fanbase is deserved. I've only ever heard mixed feelings on XIII. So it seems like an odd choice to branch out from, though if I remember correctly, Versus was announced even before XII's release, so I guess S-E just decided they were gonna make some sequel/spinoffs and to hell with what gamers would think of XIII. Or else XIII is loved by a lot more people than I give it credit for.

    Actually there are alot of hardcore fans of 13, I'm one of them, a few guys I work with are pretty hardcore fans, well one of them has all of FF13 plushies lol, and the other has a tattoo of Hope on his shoulder XD (don't ask me why he has a Hope Tattoo I'm sure he has his reasons). I just think that FF7 is overrated that's all.

    Damn. That's like the worst idea ever. :D

    I don't doubt there are die hard fans of the game, but it just doesn't seem like there are as many of them out there as there are for some of the other games. So I still kind of don't understand why S-E chose XIII to have so many spin offs when they could have remade VII (which, I agree with you that it's overrated, but I think most people disagree, or the ones who do are so loud they drown out everyone else), or made XV or something.

    But I'm starting to get a little off topic. I wonder if Versus will live up to expectations when/if it finally does get released. It's been in development forever, it seems like, I wonder how many people even still care about it.

    I love how gameinformer did a thing on FF Versus 13, and laid the times and months of when we got news on the game, and then it showed a big ? at the very end. They where kind of harsh on the whole FF Versus 13 thing too, which upset ted me, I'm sure S.E. is working really hard to get the game done.
