So, I just beat the original Final Fantasy remake on the PSP. The game is amazing. Back then, RPG's were hailed for their simplicity, not how in-depth its systems are. In my opinion, that RPG value should've never changed.... What do you think?

Honestly, when I was young. I didn't like Final Fantasy. Mainly because reading was boring in games. Plus, it had nothing on Mario 64. To this day, I still don't like the 'select, select, attack' style of RPGs such as Final Fantasy and Pokemon. It's restricting. But modern technology has now given a little bit of a variety.

There's always Final Fantasy XII, XIII, X-2 and XIII-2 along with Crisis Core. The battle systems for those are different and is now heading toward that kind of game play. As for the remakes, it is a good way to draw Final Fantasy fans to the older games that came out so I am all for whatever Square Enix is doing at the moment. The value really didn't change at all. More like an update.

Well, that's the thing. Other than a fresh graphical coat of paint, there was nothing new. It was identical to the original, which keeps it modernly retro, if that makes sense. lol
