Dragonball Z vs. Yu Yu Hakusho

    Dragon Ball is a manga/anime created by Akira Toriyama sometime in the 80's. It garnered many loyal fans and laid the groundwork for the shounen genre in general. It's is most widely known through it's anime adaption(s), Dragon Ball Z being the most popular. The series' main character was Goku, and the plot for each arc was basically him taking out a powerful enemy who threatened life on Earth.
    Yu Yu Hakusho is manga/anime created by Yoshihiro Togashi. It was the story about a 14 year old who,through special circumstances, becomes a Spirit Detective. He is joined by his allies Kuwabara Kazuma(a longtime rival), Hiei(a demon with the Jagan Eye implant) and Kurama(a demon who escaped death by possessing a child while he was in the womb). The anime ran 112 episodes while the manga ran for 19 volumes. Also take note that YYH's rating surpassed those of Dragon Ball Z at one point.

    Which do you think is better?

    Yu Yu Hakusho was better imo, I enjoyed the fights more and it wasnt really the same formula over and over

    Though i love both

    yeah i love both. i kinda wish they would contiue the dragonball z animation. there is so much they could do.

    i LOL'D at that for the longest time when i first heard that.

    do you think Yusuke could take Goku in all out no hold bars fight?

    No. By the end of DBZ, there are almost no fictional characters who can defeat Goku. The only ones who could possibly have any sort of chance would be immortal characters who have ways of regenerating their bodies from damage (Only two or three come to mind for me, both from Mahou Sensei Negima).

    Yu Yu is the best anime/manga of alll to me. They were both made before fillers started and creativity was still around and it was short but sweet. I felt more connected to the characters in YU YU then i did in DBZ. I truly wish YUYU would have went on, think whatever you must but i was on the verge of tears when it ended and everytime i watch the last episode i feel like breaking down. In the manga they had 1 more mission that i would have loved to see animated but it never happened. DBZ as much as i loved it, after SS3 It got repetitiveness. And i think Yuskae could beat Goku before he got his super sayain form but after he got it, it would be hard. I dont think he could beat him up to past lvl 1. The only other person that could beat Goku at his strongest would be Superman Prime or X-Man or The Phoenix, and other cosmic beings from comic books.
