Dissidia: Final Fantasy 2 Screens

Here are new screens of the game, including Lightning.

 

I'm curious as to what that meter below the health meter is. But now I'm upset that the game will come out in 2011. Because of that, I can't get it until 2012 at the earliest. Almost an entire year for Dissidia 1 to come out in NA.

 

I just jumped out of my frinkin seat! I am so exited for this game now. I didn't even know this game was even in disscussion!

Anyway, yeah, this game is going to be awesome and it has characters from ALL games in the series.

 

Im just really exited about Lightning being in the game. FFXIII is the only reason I got into FF!

 

yeah I know. I want Hope in it as well. They were my two favorite characters. Yuna and Vaan would be cool too.

 

Since both Cecil and Kain are in the same game,Im guessing there are going to be two from each game,atleast Hero wise.Though Kain may be the villian this time.

If it is two for each side,Im guessing Sazh will be the other XIII character.

 

For XIII, I would want Snow to be a character. Why? Because everybody seems to hate him.

 

I dont hate him.The constant fist punching in his idle is a little annyoing,in large doses.Which rarley happens for me anyways.

Lets see...

On Heroes,again if there are two good guys this time,here are the newbies I want/think will make it (think overrides want).

I- Warrior of Light-Thief or Black Mage.Thief because He is one of the ones I see the most used off (and for Ninja),Black Mage because its Black Mage and they need more good mages.

II- Either Guy or Maria,probably Maria.Just because they dont have many girls for Maria,and both because there are not many choices that stay in your party for a while.Minwu would be cool though

III- One of the Onion Knights,never played III

IV- We already got Kain,though Rydia would have been awesome.

V- Probably Faris,if only to get some more people to fall for the trap.

VI- Not sure,though Im guessing Celes or Locke.

VII- Tifa or Vincent.Vincent gets some points for having his own game.

VIII- Rinoa probably.Closest to Squall and part of the plot to take over/destroy all and that stuff.

IX- Vivi.Garnet would be close,but she doesnt do much damage except with Summons,which work different here.Vivi is an awesome black mage,and a fan favorite.

X- Auron.Because its Auron.Yuna may make it.While she is like Garnet at first,she can branch out.

XI- No idea

XII- Ashe and Vann/Balthier. Ashe because she had a large part,Vaan because he comes into his own near the end and the sequel is better for him.Balthier because of fans.

XIII- Sazh since Nomura likes him and said he would like to have him in it before even this game was announced.

If its new villians (and maybe new heroes) instead,then the list is different for some games.

It would probably be Yuna vs Shuyin for X in this arrangment,Squall vs Seifer,thigns like that.

However,two heroes and two villians gives us the old ones and new possibilities,though some are more obvious.Though Rydia can still make it this way if kain ends up on the villian side.

 

They may add Crystal Chronicles to it as well or possibly characters from other games. That would be cool.

 

-___- Did Dissidia even came out in the United States? I've been trying to get it for months but I guess that I will try to get it in December soon. Anyways, here's what I'm seeing from Final Fantasy FFIII, VI-FFXII.

Good
I: No doubt. Would be the same as always. Warrior of Light going up against Garland.

II: The Emperor will come back regardless so Firion would make a comeback or Maria would take over.
III: The Onion Knight as usual. As for the Villian, they may try to bring back the cloud of Darkness but then there's Xande. He might prove useful and he's more of a magic user than the Cloud of Darkness.

IV: Cecil might come back with Golbez but there's always a chance that Zeromus might have his own role to play with any other hero.

V: Exdeath will come back regardless so no question there. Bartz would also fall into this category.

VI: I'm hoping that Terra and Kefka would come back once again. -__- I just hope that the music, Dancing Mad, would be just like the original or better!! Really don't like how they be making the remixes in the first game of Dissidia just from watching the videos. Also, Terra might end up being possess and end up tipping the balance between the sides of Cosmos and Chaos, making everything real neat.

VII: The game has been overrated BIG TIME! Sephiroth will make his comeback regardless and might try to do that along with Cloud. Or maybe Aerith would replace Cloud. Still, they can just cross out Sephiroth and put Jenova as the villian. I really don't want Vincent or Tifa in there. Sure, Sephiroth killed her parents but she really woulnd't have much of a connection like Cloud.

VIII: If Rinoa make her time to shine, I will be happy but Ultimecia will be back with no doubt. Still, I can't imagine Sorceress Edea in there because the staff will have a hard time deciding which side she'll be on. Then there's Sorceress Adel, who really didn't make much impact in the original game. You could say Seifer but he would be much better to go up against Squall. If Sorceress Edea on the side of Good, then Ultimecia will appear to control Edea and to possess her, making the balance go haywire, WHICH WOULD BE AWESOME! Edea versus Utlimecia. I CAN SEE IT!!

IX: Garnet might jump onto the stage but can't really just be all surprise right from the get go. Might be the same characters.

X: I'm hoping that Yuna would come onto this game fighting against Lady Yunalesca, Seymour or Shuyin. Tidus versus Jecht is getting a little bit old to me right now. You definitely can't say Rikku. Tidus and Seymour would be good but Yuna would have more of a connection better. OR YOU CAN MAKE LORD BRASKA AS THE VILLIAN!

XII: Either Ashe or Vaan come into the game but I'm hoping Ashe so that she can go up against Vayne. If Balthier, Dr. Cid will be the villain. Don't want to say Ba'gamnan. Really can't say Vaan because it would be hard to find a villian to relate to him. you can't say the Occurias but you might want to throw in Gabranth since he killed his brother. Still, fans might try to bash on the idea and say that it would be Basch against Gabranth. Larsa would be a great character in my opinion because he have a strong connection with Vayne.

XIII: Don't give a care because I never have the game and I don't have a Xbox 360.

Before anyone of you try to argue, let me say this. The Emperor stated that Jecht used to be on the side of Chaos and Kefka said that to Terra. Me stating about Lord Braska being evil or Sorcerss Edea being evil also support this fact. You cannot say what can or cannot happen in the next installment because anything is possible.

 

Please tell me you're kidding. There have only been several threads about people getting Dissidia and playing. And I've had it for almost (Or over) a year. I've seen it in stores in obvious locations.

They already had that happen in the backstory.

Seifer would be a better choice than Edea.

 

Actually,Braska wont be on the bad side if he appears because he died. Jecht not only didnt die,he was also possessed by Yu Yevon.While he did have some freedom,Yu Yevon still had control over him.Thats why he fights Tidus instead of just letting his son wailing on him.Though he probably still would have fought him anyways in X,though it might have been more like Dissidia if it was up to him,one on one with his son.

Its the same with Terra,except with mind control.Even then it was broken almost right at the beggining of the VI.The events before Dissidia had her still mind controled and before Jecht was possessed.

Edea is a possibility because of possession via Ultimecia.Though I would like to see Adel or Seifer myself.Also,Kain is in the game with Cecil,but he may be replacing Golbez for this.

I'm over here on the side kinda hoping SE will release the game with all the party's characters, or at the very least release some when the game comes out and release the rest as DLC or something.

Which part do you want explained? If its Terra,in FF VI she was under mind control at the very begining of the game and part of her life before the game proper.Her backstory for Dissidia is similar.

I dont remember everything since i played someone elses Dissidia,but either way its similar to her VI backstory.

 

@summoner: Dissidia 1 has been in stores outside of Japan for over a year. if you've never seen or heard such news you are blind and/or deaf.

anyways as for 2; another reason i need a PSP.

if they do 2 Heroes & Villains from each then i can only talk for 7 since it's the only one i've played but i'd like either Aeris, Vincent, or Tifa on the heroes side and Jenova on the villains to join Cloud and Sephiroth.

 

Okay, basically in Onion Knight's storyline, since he's teaming up with Terra throughout the whole thing, Terra falls under mind control via Cloud of Darkness, and ends up fighting against Onion Knight. Onion Knight wins, but Terra spends the majority of her storyline fearing she might lose control again.

 

I'm guessing you mean the Seifer/Edea pick.

Basically, Seifer would be a better character because he has that rivalry with Squall. Edea wouldn't make that great a hero when you have 5 other characters who would be better choices. Through most of FFVIII, Edea played a villain. And then the remainder of her time in the game, while good, wasn't much. All she really helped with was explain Ultimecia's goal and help them get to Esthar.

Zell, Selphie, or Quistis would be better hero choices. I say them and not Irvine or Rinoa because they are melee fighters. Unless they have characters who only use a gun (Like Irvine, Vincent, Sazh, Laguna, etc.). If they include characters who are only ranged melee characters, than Rinoa would probably be the best hero choice.

EDIT: And as for the Terra thing, I was talking about how in Dissidia's backstory she fought for Chaos' side. Which was basically a parallel story to the beginning of FFVI.

 

I'm actually curious about what they are going to do about that. I thought about and with Lightning, since her weapon is also a gun, would she also be able to shoot with it on its own, or would it be chained into a melee attack.

If they decide not to use melee long rangers, then I'd really pick Zell because his fighting style would have to be the most interesting like Jecht's.
