There are some things to keep in mind when debating.

First of all, when posting a debate, make sure it is a topic that has multiple viewpoints. After all, you can't have a debate if there is only one side.

Secondly, don't just be a broken record and post "I agree with so-an-so." You have an opinion, voice it. Say something intelligent and add to the discussion. "I agree with that person" gives me nothing to talk about. I can't argue with you or back you up. It adds nothing to the debate. Please post something meaningful.

And finally, and most importantly, be respectful. Not everyone is going to agree. It's a debate, they aren't supposed to. But when someone expresses a viewpoint you don't agree with, don't bash them and insult their opinion. You can disagree and voice your disagreement without insulting someone or hurting their feelings. That being said, this is a debate forum. By nature, many of the topics in it will be controversial and people are likely to have very strong opinions. Some subjects may inevitably offend someone. Try to keep an open mind when entering a topic, and if you think that you might not be able to remain civil in a particular debate, stay out of it. No one wants to say something they'll regret later.

Well, with that said, have fun debating.

I'll add one to the guidelines.

As I've noticed lately, many people have been spamming in one of my most loved sections in the forum that should be proper and clean, and even moderators have been doing this, and I'm really worried.

As for first of all, debates section is NOT for spamming in any situations. Any posts that I see as spam, will be deleted from now on.

Secondly, follow the rules as usual. Especially don't start shouting if you disagree with it, something like that sucks, you suck, etc.
