    Death Note: A New Battle​


    Many years after the death of the first Kira or Light Yagami, world become normal like it never was. Many people speculated that Kira is died or taking a rest. But not long enough, the story of Kira almost being forgotten by everyone. Nate River or Near, become the new "L" and make the world save from the hands of criminal, although criminal still exist but not as much as before. Many years have past, and almost nobody know that Nate River is dead, and the crime increased again and soon become threats of world. Now, the son of Nate River took his father's place, and soon become the new "L".


    World of Shinigami, 07 June 2063 at Earth Time....

    Ryuk was sitting and watching humans from there. He become bored again, even when he's eating his favorite food apple. Soon he realized, that another shinigami, Sidoh came to him. "What do you want, can't you see that i'm bored?" asked Ryuk. Sidoh laughed and said, "Yeah, i know. How many years since Light Yagami's death? We can't find another worthy man that equal to him."

    Ryuk only silenced as he looking to earth. Then he stood up after he ate the apple and leaving. "Where are you going to?" asked Sidoh.

    "Finding someone worthy..." said Ryuk as his wing beaked and soon he leaving. Sidoh only smiled and saying, "You missed him do you?"

    Ryuk was flying and observing... finding someone worthy to handle the Death Note. "I knew that someone like him only appear in 1000 years..." said Ryuk. Then he saw a boy who walked alone, with depressed looks and spinning his pencil. Ryuk seems interested to him.

    "Maybe this boy is worthy." said Ryuk. Then he dropped the black book at his place that known as the most dangerous weapon of all time, Death Note.

    Saotoshi sighed as he strolled to his house from an afternoon class, debating with himself about the origins of Kira.

    "But why would he just. . . up and disappear like that? I mean. . . All the deaths officially stopped on January 29, 2010. . . ." He muttered, when out of the blue, a small notebook landed in front of him. He stopped to pick it up, read the cover, and opened it. "Death... note?. . . Rule 1. The human whose name is written in this note shall die."

    Saotoshi saw a list of names written in one hand, and several pages later they changed into a more deathly scrawl, the first name reading, "Light Yagami". He didn't know where it came from, or whose it was, but he had a feeling this would be big. He hastened home after stuffing it into his jacket. . .

    *BANG*
    The gun fired and a hole appeared dead center of the target. He gasped as he watched the shell fly out out the chamber and hear its chiming as it hit the ground.
    "Hahahaa! I did it!" Ano yelled. Being a poor marksman, this was something he just had to celebrate. He quickly reloaded his hand gun with a new clip (even though the previous was still quite full) and he quickly fired it at the target until it was empty.
    When the clicks were heard and the bangs had ceased, a fellow officer in the same room looked at what happened. "Nice shooting Sakaki" he said sarcastically. The target had no extra holes after the mad shooting performed by Ano. The officer left, Ano looked at his target.
    "Wow, I really do suck at this!" Ano chuckled as he quickly pulled out his favourite flask and drank all that was in it. He looked at his watch. "Not even close to 3, I'll try hit it early today" he smiled. He left the room and asked the chief, "Hey chief! I need to get back soon, I've gotta date!" he smiled.
    "All right, for today" the Chief said. "Sounded like you did well in there Sakaki" the Chief Grinned.
    "Uhh, yeah. Sure did haahaa..." Ano quickly grabbed his coat and went outside to see a young man sprinting holding something in his jacket. "Suspicious kid" he thought. He hopped in his car and drove home safely managing to hit the curb only twice.

    The rattling of metal, hissing of wires, and squeaking of wheels on an old rusty child's wagon kept Rini feeling safe. She was living alone in an apartment since her parents' murders that happened long ago.
    "Two days can make a difference when you go from 'welcome home Rini' to being homeless.."She was mumbling to herself before sighing. She saw a boy pass by her in a hurry. Rini sighed reaching her new home carrying everything she brought from her house up to her place..

    Ryuk followed the boy until he arrived at his house...

    The TV on Ano's car suddenly turned on automatically, then "Z" old english font appeared in that TV. "Ano-San, this is Zero. Please proceed to the meeting place as planned before. You still remember the place right? At Mr. Trevor's House." said the TV.

    "Huh?! That's right, I almost forgot!" Ano shouted as he palmed his forehead. "Time to put the pedal to the metal! Heheh, I've always wanted to say that!" he joked as he reversed out of the driveway and made his way to Mr. Trevors House.
    Ano Parked on top of the curb and ran to a house which matched the description. "I think this is it... Hello!" he called out. Taking a few steps in the building, he was quickly overpowered by some goons and blindfolded.

    Saotoshi left the note in a pocket inside of his jacket and laughed.

    "Ehe. . . Sorry, sis. So, what are you cooking up today?" He asked her, embarrased.

    "Well, dad is coming home late again, so we're ordering out." She told him. He nodded, then ran up the stairs to his room. The moment he got in there, he locked the door and pulled the note out.

    "So. . . . Just how real is this thing?" He asked himself, booting up his computer. "Only one way to find out. . "

    Unknown Place, 07 June 2063 Unknown Time (don't bother with the time, Moogle)

    Ano was being brought to someplace which he doesn't know. Then suddenly he felt like sitting on chair. "You have come, Ano-San." said A voice. He know the voice, its Zero's voice. He also heard a voice something being placed, a sound of chess.

    "I'm sorry to blindfolded you, but the secrets cannot be revealed. Now back to our meeting. Today, the criminal syndicate that we investigate is going to attend a meeting at the port. I want you to call some backups to catch them. This is our first and final chance, so make sure you must be careful." said Zero.

    "Anyway, 5 minutes later, you will be brought back to your recent place, Mr. Trevor's house. Make sure to remember what i said. Any question?" asked Zero, as he yawning.

    Ryuk arrived at his house. Since no one could see him, he just simply walked and find the boy's room. Suddenly he found an apple. "Sweet!" said Ryuk. Then he checking the place, hoping no one at there. Then he took the apple and eat it.

    "Oh yeah! I must find the boy's room!" said Ryuk shocked.

    "Can I trust you?" Ano asked. "How do I know if you're telling the truth? How do I know if you're not with that syndicate, could be a trap for all I know.
    Ano waited for a response. All he could hear were ceramic pieces moving. "Chess?" he thought. He calmly stood up expecting some sort of resistance wanting to hold him down but there was none. "Who exactly are you?"

    "Trust or Not trust me, its all up to you, Ano-San." said Zero. He looked to blindfolded Ano, which he still playing chess. "Beside, I'm just wanting to capture the syndicate. I don't take slightly interest to trapping you. You are my connection to Japan, you are the key for my investigation of Japan." said Zero.

    "Zero, 5 minutes have past. We should take this man back to the recent place." said a voice, which would be his comrade. Zero only nodded. Soon, some of people picked up Ano and bringing him back.

    "And if you know who i am, I'm just a detective. No more, no less. That's all." said Zero as they brought Ano back.

    Saotoshi poured over various criminal records through a hacking program he developed over time. Untraceable, yet effective. He clicked randomly on one of the files, and smirked.

    "Possible syndicate member... looks good, but how can I tell if he's dead?. . . Or, I can just look at incoming reports. Might as well write down the name anyways." He muttered to himself as he wrote the name in the book. Then, he looked through incoming police reports and saw a bus hijacking. "That works."

    "There we go.." Rini was finished hooking up her computer and getting out the copy of police reports to her parents' death. "Let's see if the police have any leads, shall we?" She grinned as she typed away as she hacked into the police server. If anyone tried to find out where she was, a few viruses would get into their systems.
    "No.. not this either... Gah, why am i doing this!? I should get back to getting all my stuff before they toss it all out.." She sprang to her feet and bolted out the door..

    Ano took off the blindfold and looked around. No one was around. "What damage will it do to trust him now then?" Ano used his cell to call the station Chief. "Cheif, try to trust me here. Send an undercover team to the Main Port, I hear something big might happen there.
    "Ano? The hell is wrong with you? You leave early to go for a date and now you're snooping around for some bust ups?"
    "Great, I'll see some of the boys and girls there then." he interupted, "Hope to see you there!" Ano chuckled as he hung up. "Hoooo, better get ready" Ano pulled the flask out of his coat and forgot that he emptied it earlier on. "All the more reason to get home first."
    Arriving back home, Ano filled his flask and go ready for the Bust at the port. "I hope the Chief trusted me here." He drove to Tokyo's Main Port seeing some faces he knew from the Police Station. a simple double blink to each other indicated that everyone was ready.

    "Do you think that the police could capture the syndicate?" asked a person behind Zero. Zero was looked at the TV, where police have gathered, yet he still playing chess.

    "The chance of their capture is 64%. Because they don't know that Police already know what will they do, Mr. Trevor." said Zero.

    "Report!" Ano yelled as the Port was showering with bullets.
    "Someone's hit but no casualties!" an officer said.
    "As long as he can still hold a gun, I want him to cover me!... Now!" Ano yelled as he ran to different spots behind crates nearing himself to the lead man. Examining his surroundings, he saw an overhanging above the Syndicate and took aim at it like he did in the firing range and fired at it...

    "We're interrupted this program, that the famous criminal syndicate, Black Hollow has been captured by police in Japan. Because of their contribution to spying upon them, the syndicate has been captured." said a reporter in NHK.

    "Congratulation, Zero." said Trevor as he clapping his hands to Zero. Zero only playing chess and yawning. "I only gave them information, they are the key to the successful for the capture." said Zero.
