Darkness of Night

Prolouge

The world is born from Light and Darkness. They are the basis of the world. From those two angels and demons were born. That is when the war of Good and Evil started. Now after 100,000 years a new war started. This time is between two chosen men of light and darkness. Only this time its involves the life of young girl who falls in love with both men but must choose one. These chain of events is called Darkness of Night.

Darkness of Night chapter 1: Fate

"Black Feathers...... I saw Black feathers as they fell down to the Earth from the sky above. That is when white feathers fell down also. I wonder..... are two angels falling, or what?" As she layed down in her bed, Rosa dreampt about what she saw when she was little. Those feathers...... were they real or not?" As she kept sleeping, the cellphone started ringing right beside her ear as she started groaning and saying I'm up I'm up.". She looked at the phone number and saw that it was Megumi, her friend. "....Megumi." She answered it and said "Hello? Hey Megumi. Yeah I know its Friday. Don't worry, I'm getting up." She closed her phone and said "God. Shes like my own mother or something." She then sighed and said "That dream.... Why did it come back?"

A few mintues later she took a quick shower, got on her school outfit and headed outside of her apartment to meet Megumi at the bus stop. When she finally got there, she saw a steaming Megumi standing there waiting for her. Once she stopped, Rosa said to her "Hey, sorry I'm late." Megumi then said "You're sorry? You're actually sorry?! We almost missed the bus!" Rosa sighed and said "I said I'm sorry Megumi." That is when Megumi sighed and said "Its ok. Anyways, the bus is almost here so lets just forget about it. Ok?" Rosa smiled and said "Ok."

A few hours went by at Takanoko High school, where the girls where the girls went to learn. During fourth hour, Rosa looked out to the window by her as her teacher, Mr. Kasumi, was talking about the old legends of Shinto. As he was talking to the rest of the class, Rosa watched a couple of birds fly off towards the east as they matched each other side by side. She quietly sigh and said "Why can't that be me?" As she said that, a loud snap by her ear as a ruler hit her desk. She quickly looked up and saw that Mr. Kasumi was looking at her with annoyed eyes. "Ms. Rosa? What are you doing?" She was startled by his towering presence. "Mr Kasumi! "Hello sir! I was just listening to your great speech about the old shinto legends, thats all!" She smiled embarraslingly as he watched her with suspicious eyes. That is when said to her "Ms. Misora. Detention after school. Got it?" She looked at him and understood he is the one person not to mess with. She sighed and said "Got it." He smiled and said "Good. Now lets get back to the discussion." As he walked away from her desk, she thought to herself "Man." "That guy is strange." As he kept talking back to the class, she looked out of the window again and said to herself quietly "I still wish that was me."

After school was over, Rosa walked to her fourth hour class room for her detention. When she got there, Mr. Kasumi was waiting at his desk, waiting for her.. He looked at her and said ""Go outside and pick up the garbage around the school." He got up from his desk and handed her a trash bag and wooden poker. She grabbed them and then said to him"Yes sir." When she walked all the way outside, she said to herself "This sucks!" When she found some trash to be pick up, she layed the bag on the floor and stabbed the garbage with the poker and put it into the bag. After she did this a couple times, she said to herself "How long do I have to do this?" After she said that, she heard a growl and said What was that?" She looked behind her and saw a wolf looking at her with a insane look. "Oh crap!" As she said that, the wolf charged and jumped at her with it's razor sharp teeth hanging from it's opened mouth. As she saw this sight, a tight grip of fear tugged at her. That is when she screamed out loud.AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Chapter 1 page 2

As the wolf jumped at her, Rosa quickly got out of way by rolling down on the ground and dodged the wolf's attack. ""Now that...was close." Said Rosa as she panted while the wolf unfournately landed on its feet. She looked at beast and said to herself quietly "I wonder why theres a wolf at school?" As she finished saying that, the wolf looked in her direction and saw her as she was on the ground shaking in fear. "Oh crap it sees me! This is not my day!" She then got up and started running as the wolf started charging at her. "Why won't it leave me alone?!" She looked back and noticed that the wolf was slowing down one bit. "Man this thing is hungry!". As she kept running around the school she noticed a opening into the woods by the school. ""Theres a good place to lose it!" She quickly ran into the opening as the wolf kept following her.

As she kept running, she noticed how dark the forest is on the inside. "Its only noon though!" She said outloud. As they kept running, they were going deeper and deeper into the forest. After a few mintues deeper Rosa completely lost the wolf as it got tired and went away. She stopped and fell to ground panting on her back. Hehe.....hes finally gone." She laughed victoriously as the she layed on the ground for a while as she was gaining her breath. After few more seconds she got up and said "Well, I should get back to school. Megumi must be really worried about me." As she walked her way back she suddenly tripped on a root and started rolling down on a hill. When she was at the bottom, she stopped and rubbed her head in pain. "Ouch. Now that was just foolish." As she said that, she looked around and saw that she was in a wonderful clearing at the bottom of the hill. It had beautiful flowers, large trees and many wonderful birds pecking the ground. "Wow." How beautiful." As she kept looking around she was shocked by what she saw. "Wow."

What she saw was a small stone shrine with ancient kanji written on it. "Whats a shrine doing here?" As she walked over to the shrine she noticed that it had the kanji for "Light" and "Darkness" on it. "Light and Darkness? Why is this on?" As she looked at it, she noticed a black and a white feather crossed together on the small stone tablet in the middle of the shrine. "Two feathers?" As she kept looking at them, there was something about the feathers that made Rosa wanting to touch them. "They're so....beautiful." That is when she decided to go with the urge and touched the crossing the feathers. But when she touched them, something happened. The ground was shaking. "Whats going on?!!!" Said Rosa as she fell to the ground in shock. Then all of the sudden a huge light of bright red whined through the forest rooftop as the small shrine was enveloped into it. "Whats happening?!!!!"

Chapter 1 page 3

The pillar of light started slowly enveloping everything in its path. Many animals, plants, and even the ground was was being pulled into it. Rosa was shocked in fear. She started running for her life as she said to herself " "Why is this happening?" "Whats going on?!" She kept running but no matter how fast she ran, the light kept getting bigger and closer to her. She finally stopped when she 10 yards. She started panitng for she was out of breath. *pants*.......I'm......"pants* so tired." She then fell to the ground as her whole body aches from running away from the pillar of bright red light. "I.....can't run.....anymore." That is when her eyesight got blurry and she couldn't feel her legs or her arms. "Whats going on?" "It feels like my whole body is blacking out." That is when she then realised that it is she who is blacking out. "I can't.....keep my eyes open anymore." That is when she finally closed her eyes and gave out. When she blacked out, the giant pillar of bright light suddenly stopped and started slowly splitting into two. It then became two small pillars of light.

The pillars were parralel to eachother and were in the same size and height. But they were still different because the pillar on the left was completely black as night and the left pillar was as white as snow. They were equals yet opposites. But then something something happened to the pillars. They were slowly collapsing into theirselves as the air around them was heavy as a pile of boulders. That is when the pillars became two narrow streams of light. But the thing that happened next was odd. The stream of lights slowly moved towards the body of Rosa that laying on the forest ground. When it got inches near her, the light descended back into the ground, leaving only two silouettes with their knees on the ground. THey stood and looked at eachother quietly and non-emotionally. They then turned their attention to Rosa's body. The silougettes were intrigued by the body on the ground. They looked at eachother again and nodded to one another. They then dissapeared from the sight, leaving only Rosa's body with two feathers in her hand, a white one and a black one.
