    GrandShadow I accept your challange.

    -~Backstory~-
    All from two. Everything is made from the original two, the light and its counterpart the dark. The two gods that created all made this to keep the universe in balance. To prevent the balance from ever falling apart, when the gods made the world they split it in half. One half for the beings of light to prosper, the other for the denizens of the dark to spread. To make sure the two never met, the gods combined their power and created a barrier, enforcing the two sides of the world to stay separate. The two gods, pleased with their work, then left to let the world run itself. This is a legend that was supposed to be honored, to be remembered. But sadly it was never told, the people blissfully unaware of the other side or of their creation.

    Millennium past and the two halves prospered in their own unique ways. The light became a futuristic paradise. Advanced technology, items of energy, flying machines, and never ending sunlight. The half of light is truly a paradise. The dark formed its own features as well. Mythological creatures, powerful magics, and an eternal full moon in the sky. The dark is a wonderful land of mystic wonders.    ​


    ~-Story-~
    Over the countless millennium of the world, the barrier that separated the two held strong. But nothing lasts forever. The barrier began to weaken, and one day a young boy of the light stumbled into it and accidentally appeared in the land of the dark. He was discovered by an old man of the dark and helped the child. The two spoke and taught the other about the other side and were fascinated to learn what was just beyond the barrier. After hours of teaching and learning, the old dark man helped return the child to his land of light. Once the boy returned he began to tell his people about the dark. The old man went and did the same in his land, telling the dark about light.
    The people of the dark believed the old man had lost his mind. He was ignored, disgraced, and eventually killed. The people of the light however took the child seriously, believing every word he said. When the leaders of the light heard the child speak, they began an evil plan. They believed that the dark was threatening them. They wanted to erase the dark from their world and take their lands for their own. So the light leaders ordered that they would go to war with the dark, claiming that it was to spread their happiness with the other side to hide their true motives.
    It happened in just a few days. The light gathered its power and shattered parts of the barrier separating the two lands. The dark only just realized the old man was right before they were brutally assaulted by the armies of light. The light was ruthless, it captured and killed everything in its path. The dark was soon forced into its capital where it has since been holding its defense, the final piece of dark in the world.
    The dark was out of answers, it needed a way to end the war. They were clearly outmatched so forcing the light out through war was out of the option. They couldn't think of anything so in the end, they turned to the ancient sages of the dark. Beings said to have lived from the very beginning of their world, they've foretold all the major events of the dark up until now. The sages predicted that the fate of both sides would rest on the shoulders of two dark twins that just reached their teenage years. The people of the dark were confused but believed in their sages. They quickly found the twins and told them of their destiny. The twins were startled that they were to be the saviors of all, but had no time to learn anything else. The dark was anxious for the war to be over, and threw the twins straight into the light conquered lands. Now they are stranded, they can't return to the dark capital, and have no clue what to do. How can they save everything?​

    Hime slowly poked the fire with a stick as she and her sister camped outside for the second night in a row. She had her knees to her chest and was resting her chin on her knees as she stared at the flames with a sad expression. She closed her eyes, her mind was stuck on what had transpired not even three days ago.

    A loud knocking was heard on the front door late at night as Hime was reading a book. Jean was doing something on the couch as they both looked up at the door. There mother answered it and after a few words between herself and whoever was at the door she let them in and Hime sprang to her feet. The sages had come to their house. They all wore very long sweeping robes of deep violet and had bald heads. Each looked older than time itself. One walked up to Hime and another walked over to Jean. They stared long and hard into their eyes and then switched before repeating the same long stare. Finally the two turned to each other and began to whisper to themselves. "Uh mom? Why are the sages here and what're they doing?"
    "Shush honey. This is very important." Their mother said. The sages finally stopped whispering and with a nod to each other turned to the twins mother.
    "There is no doubt, they are who we seek."
    "But... what's going to happen?" Their mother seemed depressed by the news.
    "They shall be escorted out of the city tonight and sent to fufil their destinies." Their mother just nodded as tears started to go down her face. The sages left and Hime rushed over to her mother.

    "Mom, what's going on?"
    "Remember how a couple days ago they announced how a set of teenage twins would save us all by stopping the war?" Hime nodded."Well sweety, its the two of you. You and your sister are the chosen ones." Hime took a few steps back, not believing what her mother had said.
    "That's... that's not funny mom." Hime was scared becasue her mother just kept crying and shook her head.
    "It's not a joke dear. Now go pack some things, you need to be ready when the guards come tonight."

    Hime opened her eyes and looked at her sister. "Jean, what are we going to do?"

    A lady started to have a pole in her hands and started to spin, making a strange glow develop around her. Her hair started to get lighter and lighter and her skin started to get younger and younger. She opened her eyes and her poles started to break apart into cards."Hist'ry's weave shall be created from the severed bond."

    A powerful wind started to emanate from her, making the plain started to blow away from her. Her eyes started to change colors and became so pale. "Time for me to take my role on the stage!"

    "Um... Chief Lalo? The Director wanted you to..." "SHUT UP!!! TELL HIM THAT I WILL BE THERE!!!" A man in his chair was getting irritated as he was too busy trying to design a blueprint of some sort. "But, Chief Lalo, if you don't answer him soon, then..." "I DON'T CARE!!! PUT HIM ON THE LINE!!!!"

    Chief Lalo pressed one of the buttons violently to cut the employer off and then went right back to work. "I must hurry and finish this shit. If I don't, then I... then I..." all of a sudden, a red light started to flash. A man dressed with yellow researchers clothing and cotton shoes started to have a disappointed look. "Director Ganzai. I... I..." I hope that you have a very good reason to forget about even coming to the meeting to show us the fruitation of our plans in this war. If not, then I will have no choice but to..." 'NO! DON'T! Please! I only need two more days! Just two more days to show you all the prototype! That is all that I need!'
    The director started to smile at him and turned his back on him. "Alright but we still need a demo of what you have that may be capable of such things. Send us that piece of information and you can continue back on your studies." The hologram then disappeared and Blakely went back t his work. In his documents, several weapons were in the creations; one was a large cannon...

    Jean was a rather calm when it came to situations but this entire thing, she wasn't calm about. She liked she had to help the nation but still she hated what her sister had to go through too and for the two of them to do it all alone. Jean closed her eyes and was thinking.

    Jean stood up and threw some more wood into the fire and grabbed her pack. She opened it up and pulled out an old wrinkly map.

    "We're here... the light has been entering our nation, here. There's a small farming village here when we head towards the mountain, we'll head there to restock on supplies and such. We got to remeber to play the part of farm girls and go by different names, which well may require a transformation spell." She told her sister and put the map away the planned decided.

    She wasn't very excited about it, the village was overruled by the light nation, visited once a week like other villages and all earnings gathered except .5% was taken by the light nation. If they got caught they were in trouble.

    The Gypsy started to walk in the woods with a black robe with the hood concealing her face completely and brown heel slippers. She was walking in a stealth way to avoid being caught by anyone who wanted to do harm. As she was was trying to make sure not to step on any twigs and to avoid getting any dirt on her, she saw a fire lighting up brightly from far away.
    "This presence... it is similar to me. Still, I must know."

    The woman started to float a few inches form the ground and started to go towards the fire. She glided up to one of the side of the trees and looked down. "Why in the world are there children in this place. Maybe they are no more than naughty children who disobeyed their parents. No matter. I shall test them."

    The lady started to spin in the air; Cards started to fall out of her sleeves and started to head straight at the wood to diminish the fire.

    Gyran was finally called 'at ease' by his commander after standing in the same place for an hour and a half as a test of concentration. Finally able to move, he walked over to the dining hall where the soldiers of Light ate. He sat down at an empty table as usual and began eating by himself. He heard the soldiers at the adjacent table talking about how those of the Dark were a scourge and how their magic was an abomination. Gyran sighed, he did not think of those of the Dark like that, and he wished more than anything that he could use magic himself. He wanted so badly to run away then, but then he thought of why he joined the army. He imagined the disappointed face of his father if he found out he deserted the army. "Just tough it out," he thought to himself before resuming to eat his meal.

    "Ok, tranformation magic is something I'm good with. So we head through the village and cross the mountains until we reach, whatever is seperating our worlds and then... I don't know. What're we supposed to do? We we're told that we're going to save everything but how? I mean, I can't fight and I won't cause I hate violence. You have a little skill but how can we do something our best have failed at?" Hime lamented. She was about to just lie down to sleep before they would leave when the fire was put out. Hime took a look at her sister. "Jean, did you put out the fire?"

    Jean looked up and shook her head. She walked over to the fire and poked at it. There wasn't even any ambers hot or glowing. She looked around.

    "Shhh..." She told her sister feeling like someone may be watching them perhaps or she was being paranoid. She picked up a long stick she used like a walking stick and to poke the fire with. She held it like a weapon and looked.

    "Silly infants of the arts. You shall turn back." She were up in the trees as she glide in a circle; she camouflaged with the darkness and the wind started to blow. "A journey such as this is not for mere nippers such as yourself. Turn around and flee or your parents shall know about your condemnation form my hands." She summoned several cards with the spade symbol on its face. She then turned the cards into diamonds and hurled the attack straight at Jean. "Maybe some real-time battle tactics will make the two of you think twice!"

    "What the?!" Jean exclaimed moving out of the way rolling accross the ground.

    "Hurry, run!" Jean yelled to her sister. She can't do much fighting but she would to keep her sister safe and to protect herself.

    'We can't possibly let her know who we are, she's definately of the dark but doesn't mean she's not sided with the light.' Jean thought to herself.

    "We're on a camping trip, we're of the light, don't hurt us." Jean lied to test and see who this person could possibly be and what side they were on.

    (OOC: Gyran's camp is in the world of Dark, kinda near the capital. basically a camp in enemy territory)
    An alarm started to flash in Gryan's camp and all the soldiers started to form up. "Remember!" Gyran's Lieutenant started to say, "Those of the Dark want nothing more than your head on a pedestal! Kill them on site!" The soldiers started to cheer, but Gyran did not, he refused to believe what the Lieutenant had said, but he obediently marched into the open in this World of Darkness. Upon arriving the soldiers were greeted by.......nothing. The soldiers cautiously looked around until the Lieutenant gave a command, "They're hiding! The cowards! Troops! Fan out and search for them!" Groups of soldiers started to form, but said groups were groups of friends, so Gyran was left alone to search. After awhile of walking, Gyran noticed that he had put quite a distance between himself and the camp. He started to head back but then he heard the voice of a girl about his age that he did not recognize, "We're on a camping trip, we're of the light, don't hurt us," the voice said.
    Upon hearing that last part, Gyran bolted to check out the situation. Peering through the bushes, Gyran could see two girls, twins, running away from someone who appeared to be gliding through the sky.

    "This is a disappointment. You give them a spook and they run away in fear." She made several cards appear in front of them; trees were on the face of them. "You two need to be rooted!" She raised up both of her hands and tree branches and roots were surrounding the two twins. The lady then touched the ground with both of her feet and slowly walked towards them. "You really shouldn't be poor liars. I know that the two of you are from the realm of darkness." She then took off the hood and her whole face was revealed; her face was as smooth as the surface of a fruit and her eyes were gleaming with a green color. She then spin and elegantly bowed down. "Since I am a guest, I shall confess my own name. Me'ira di Francuccisco is the name. Dancing and singing are the abilities are what I claim. now you shall state your own with a gentle voice and grace.

    Hime was scared but turned to face the person as she came down and introduced herself. Hime knew that even if they were dark, they still couldn't reveal who they were to others. After all, what if that person got caught and interrogated by the light? That would ruin the only safety they had about the light being oblivious of them. So Hime instead tried to avoid the subject with a question, one she felt really deserved an answer. "Please, just let us go! If you knew we're dark then why are you attacking us?" Hime cried out.

    "Well ain't it is obvious?! Why are two children are in this area anyways?! This is too dangerous with the people of the light roaming about! You shouldn't even try to lie as though you are nota dark dweller anyways. If I didn't have the ability to tell the difference between a light user and a dark user, you two would have met your end. I want the two of you to go back home. Your parents would be highly frustrated as to how their little nippers have went and disappeared. It is not as though the two of you are the chosen ones who I am looking for that the council have sent. I really want to tutor them and to give them my all. Besides, me studying on them for a few years have really gave me a sense of multi-tasking."

    Me'ira made her spell turn into chairs but created a throne for her instead and sat in it.

    "We can't go home! We-!? Wait, what did you say?" Hime stopped herself as she realized what the woman said. Hime and Jean were told that they were going to be secret, that only a select few outside the council would know the 'chosen twins' were found. Obviously Hime, Jean and their parents were part of the chosen few but the council had remained mute about who else they would tell. Hime looked over at Jean and whispered quietly. "Should we tell her?"

    'Not quite yet,' She spoke into her sister's mind. She was more advance in magic than what her sister was. She struggled under the roots and vines.

    "Might we ask who you are? And what do you mean by chosen?" Jean asked the stranger. She tried to act like an inocent girl, something she was not and poor at attempting.

    "HOW AUDACIOUS OF YOU TO ASK ME SUCH THINGS! OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOH!" Me'ira then snapped ehr fingers and made her cards appear from her sleeves and they flew towards the two kids. The cards then turned into whips and she made them push the two twins into the chairs that she had created. She then giggled at the purpled-haired girl (Jean) as she still pretended that she was still bind by her spell.
    "I guess that I have stun you. How amusing. As for me, I am just a Gypsy to help and entertain others." She then started to two-step her way towards them as she kick her left leg up in the air and shot a card with the face of a half-human/ half-swan towards Jean's lap. "Transformation is what you want; becoming a non-existant figure you will be! Use it and be blissed. I should be saving it on the chosens! If only I knew where they were, I would be with glee."

    Me'ira then looked back at Hime and had a glare and rapidly ran towards her; her eyes locked in place on Hime's face. "Unless the two of you are the saviors."

    As Gyran continued to watch this strange sequence of events, he couldn't help but dwell on the words 'chosen' and 'saviours'. He had an idea as to what they meant, but he couldn't be sure. "What in the world is she talking about?" Gyran wondered aloud. Realizing that he did say his thought aloud, he covered his mouth and waited for him to be inevitably spotted.

    "You're not making any sense! You claim you want to help but you attack and bind us! How's that helping?" Hime yelled. Hime was never any good at guessing a persons motives or thoughts, she just never could tell what to expect even with people she knew for years. Hime was about to ask more when she heard some mumbling nearby. "You're not alone are you?" Hime asked.

    'Hime, run... don't ask questions just do it, I'll meet up with you later.' Jean told her sister mentally. Jean closed her eyes and breathed in then out and opened her eyes. The vines fell over, dead. Leaving the two girls standing there.

    "Run!" Jean told her sister. Jean looked at the woman.

    "You're a strange woman hurting young children truly you couldn't have been sent to find the chosen the way you treat us, how could you be? Besides shouldn't you be worried by your light friend hiding in the bushes over there?" Jean asked.

    "Yes I am alone. Now why... ooooh." She started to have a big grin as she grabbed her dress and started to do the Samba. "Someone want to play their little role!" She started to spin as she made several tarot cards surround her; They changed into a scythe and she directly threw them. The weapons cut down all of the branches and bushes that concealed the person's spying area; Behind one of the bushes was a man (Gryan). Me'ira eyes was wide opened and she fell down to the ground with a cackle. "OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOOO!!! JA JA JA!! Tis true that one would be a spy but one who would also be a rebellious, young spirit?! You are nothing more than a tadpole!!! OHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHOHO!!"
