    Chronicles of Kaldesh: Infiltration OOC/SU

    ~~~~~~
    "And then the gods drowned the world in darkness," the young man said as he stared out the window of his home, "and the kingdom was lost." Below him the screams of the masses cried out for help. Below him the fires of the underworld crawled out from the cracks in the earth. Below him the kingdom that was suppose to belong to him was dying.
    As he walked away from the window the echo of an explosion off to the distance crept into his ear. He had spent the last few days trying to dig up any clues as to what happened. The only people that knew the actual circumstances of his father were the Council. They were now charred somewhere in the land between Cortia and Matria. The foundation of the manor shook slightly as the explosion finally reached them. The glass in the cupboard of the side rattled slightly and somewhere down the hall something shattered. There was no reply to the shatter. No usual scampering of feet. No hushed voices as they cleaned it up. Nothing since everyone had abandoned their post or were killed. Walking over to the desk by the fireplace he glanced at all the papers that were thrown about. Each were possible leads extracted from longs nights in the slums of the city, they all were dead ends.
    "Idiots and their running about. They do not listen to reason. This country should not be in this mess." In his anger he swiped at the papers, causing them to fly all over the place. He bent down to pick them up. As he brought the last piece up something caught his eye on the paper. The light of the fire showed some sort of watermark. With the fire he could clearly make out the words, "Keldo."
    The name rang in his head and he knew exactly where it was. He ran towards the door and grabbed his coat. He put it on and rushed out the door into the hall. He walked down the hall toward the kitchen and snuck out the back door into the perpetual night of his wondrous kingdom.
  2. The nigth sky was cast with a dark crimson glow from the pumming fire and smoke from the city in which Reon had been wandering for some time. He looked to his left and to his right at the rubble and scattered pieces of debris that lay silent on the ashed ground of a once thriving and busling metropolis. He looked down to the ashed ground that crunched with pieces of broken glass hidden under the black soot that began to be imprinted with his footprints but soon swiped clean by a silent and hollowed wind.
    He brushed the lone strand of hair that hung in front of his face and looked forward to see a series of turned over cars that were reduced to black pieces of charred twisted metal. He stopped for a moment when he heard the screams of a what seemed to be a woman and the flashing of the sparks of assault rifles and he ran to a nearby alley and stood behind the graffiti-stained wall with the slow stench of blood and trash that wafted its way into his nostrels and he scowled contemptfully as he saw three soldiers walking about with automatic MA5B ICWS assault rifles gripped lossely in their chrome armored hands.
    Reon cursed under his breath as he caught site of a series of blood-stains on one of the soldiers chest plates and went deeper into the alley. As they began to cross the lonely alley, Reon's left leg accidentally brushed on a nearby trash bin that was staggering from the start and toppled over, causing a large amount of ruckus that caused the soldiers to shine their lights on his location.
    But when they did, they saw nothing but a scurrying rat from behind a gray and crumpled dumpster and entered the alley, making sure that they had killed the entire group of civilians as they had been ordered to by their superior. Unknown to their mist was the pearched Reon on a lone window ledge of a still crumbling and dilapidated apartment building looking over his enemies with a scowl of scorn and hatred for what he had suspected them off.
    As Reon unsheathed the right blade that was mounted on his back, one of the soldiers looked in his direct and screamed out as his cries and the cries of his comrades were drowned in blood...
    The entire process only took half-a-minute to end itself before Reon stood over his lacerated and mangled enemies. One of them still hanging of the edge of death's sickle brought his violently quivering hand M6G pistol as Reon stepped closer to him. He looked down at his enemy with heartless eyes and stabbed down on his enemy's throat, causing a flow of red blood to drain out of his lifeless body.
    Reon cleaned off his weapon and continued onward to the building that held a man of great importance to him. For from what he had gathered, this was the man that had ordered the murder of his mother and father. He could care less about the nation...he was about to get revenge.
    The night sky was clear as the stars shined down, accompanied by a full moon. Just at the foot of the northern mountain ranges of Coria, a figure in black moved silently down the rocky peaks. As the figure neared the bottom he glanced around. He pulled out a small leather book and a pencil and began to write.
    Jeido's Log:
    Nothing out of the ordinary yet. I've just reached the bottom of the mountains and currently everything looks fine. I'm going to head to the capital now, see if I can dig up answers there.
    Jeido quickly put the items away and began running at breakneck speed towards the large city he saw. If that wasn't the capital then he'd ask for info there about the capital. Someone had the answers he needed, and he was going to find them.
  4. OOC: I'll be periodically going through Reon's past by having a red line signifying past events in which the text is in blue.
    IC: After some time of navigating through the lone streets of the still burning city, Reon stopped at a large plaza that had dead and burning hedges around the edges and a dirty and broken fountain with a weak stream. "It seems that whatever happened here hasn't really gotten that bad here...I'm sure that this is where he is...I can feel it..." Reon had said that with such a sense of affirmation that it even shocked him a little bit. He had come to dead ends before in his vendetta against the bastard that killed his parents by running into men that were simply in his outer circle. But his most recent gathering of information was too much to not be true this time. He still remembered how far he had come in such a short time.
    Reon slid his back on the high stone wall that concealed the somewhat large estate that witheld the leader of the Ozunu Clan, a clan that was associated with a large number of political assasinations. This information was gathered by him after he had reached and murdered the man responsible for giving the Ozunu Clan the information on targets of all kinds. They're political motivation was truly a mystery to the world yet their history was vast and far reaching.
    Reon creeped low and slipped into the stone wall through a niche in the wall and found his first target, a lone ninja dressed in a slightly less black uniform than himself. Reon's feet made no sound on the grassy ground that covered the Ozunu Clan's sanctuary that separated them from the modern world. The place in which they lived resembled that of a feudal Japanese lord's castle grounds. Reon came directly behind his target and like ghost in the night stepped right next to him and slit his throat.
    It was a clean kill...the sound of the body dropping wasn't even heard as three more fell to Reon's silent kills...
    "Danis!?. You have not left for your mission yet?. It was given to you over a day ago" Danis heard his Mother say to him. "I am aware of when the mission was given to me." Danis said coldly. He was resting in his room. "And why are you here?. Did you have hopes that you could acquire some valuables while I was away?. "How dare you!" Danis' mother said getting angry at him. "I am your mother!, You will talk to me with respect!" She demanded. "You stopped being my mother when I could walk." Danis said coldly. "Your barely welcome here when I'm home. What makes you think you would be welcome here when I leave." He said getting up. Danis' mother slapped him. ".......Why?" She said falling to her knees on the brink of tears. "Why what?" Danis said walking towards the door. "Why would you let me hit you?, I know you could have stopped me." "Because" Danis said, "No son should speak to there mother like that without expecting to get punished." This set her off and she began crying. Danis could hear the anger behind the tears. "When you leave, make sure you lock up." And with that he left.
    Once Danis reached outside he did his quick inventory check. After he had verified that each item was accounted for he let out a low short whistle. Within seconds a magnificent black horse had come to meet Danis. "Hey there old boy" Danis said patting the creature on the neck. "Lets go" He said jumping onto his back. "Canter" Danis said lightly digging his heels into the side of the horse. The horse took off and Danis was on his way.
    "Stop" Danis said softly as he got closer to his destination of Coria. He had left later than the others with the fact that he was closer to the large city than any of the others. Were it would take some of them days to travel it took him a mere couple of hours. Most ninja would have used this to there ability to get a head start on the others, to get the upper hand. However Danis felt this unnecessary. "Home" Danis said to magnificent steed patting him on the neck again. The horse however didn't listen, and instead pushed Danis' shoulder with his head. "You never forget" Danis said reaching into one of his pouches. He pulled his hand out to reveal an apple. After his horse had practically swallowed the entire apple in one he brushed his head of Danis again and then took off to go home. Danis then turned his attention to the other person who was with him. From what he could tell of there movements it was a female, she was lighter on her feet than most and depending on what way the wind blew there was a somewhat pleasant fragrance on it. "You can come out." Danis said. "I'm the representative from Opisoe"
    Jeido's Log:
    I've reached a small city on the outskirts of the mountain. Things here are peaceful, only because a strong militant group is terrorising everyone to obey. The kille those that resist and as such the townspeople have given into their demands. Still no info on the capital, though rumors are saying that this unrest has been going on for longer than our initial reports claim. At least a year longer, maybe more. Will now head to the capital to find out more.
    As Jeido put away his pencil and book, he looked at the city below him. He was standing at the top of it's clock tower and looking down on the city below. A few buildings were scorched black from fire while others had parts of their roofs caved in from what looked like cannonballs. Jeido could tell that while the militant group was doing wrong, apparently it would have been much worse if they hadn't. He wasn't much of a good sumaritan, but if they peace wasn't so obviously needed Jeido felt he may have overthrown the group. In fact, he thought, after everything is discovered and sorted out, I may just get rid of the group on my way back home. Jeido leapt down to the buildings below and began running accross the rooftops, heading for the city gates so that he could then begin his trek to the capital.
  7. Reon slid his body down behind a wall within an empty office complex and listened to the metallic footsteps of two soldiers who had their flashlights on. One of them spoke and his voice sounded fuzzy and inhumane. "It looks like we got killer in this city."
    The other one, obviously younger and less experienced, spoke with a slight tinge of fright to his voice, "Wait what? What happened?"
    "Three of our men were doing a last patrol of the city when that goon came at them. We picked it up on one of our surveillance drones that was wandering about the perimeter. This guy, whoever he is is one deadly bastard. The video only lasted from 0:00:00 to 0:00:45...quick, clean, and contained. He took a while with one of them, I'm guessing he did that for interrogating purposes but then cut him down too..."
    The younger soldier clenched his assault rifle tighter and shined his flashlight over an empty cubicle after gasping to only see a lone cockroach skitter on the floor, "Damn it..."
    "Cool your jets, he can't be that good."
    Tsukiyomi Shinto's Moon God
    "Death. This is the world's greastet threat and peace that we endure through. No matter how good we live our lives, we always face death in his cold, dark eyes.
    Those were the words that raced through Kail's mind as crept behind the heavily guarded large mansion that had search lights on and a guard patrolling the perimeter every 5 seconds. The mansion belonged to the Anachi family, a noble family that has connections to very powerful crime lords in De Sung. Kail's mission was to assasinate the head of the house, Mr. Anachi, who information on the crime lords such as their locations and meetings. "I cannot afford to lose this mission."
    Reon slowly unsheathed his blade as he could here the footsteps of the soldiers getting closer. The moment he had finished calculating the distance he rushed out at them. "Holy shit! There he is!" the younger soldier bellowed out in fright.
    The older soldier, not feeling phased at all raised his assault rifle and pinned it to his shoulder and opened fire at Reon. The younger soldier, following suit, followed up by clicking his trigger and firing at Reon.
    Keeping a tight scowl on his face behind Reon's mask that concealed everything from his cheeks to his chin ran to the side out of line of fire as the older soldier tried to track him. "This bastard is fast!" he yelled continuing a steady rate of fire. Reon leaped up and pushed his foot off of a nearby wall and raised himself higher than his two enemies. He brought his weapon above his head and as he looked into the eyes of his metallic opponent and threw his hands down in a strong yet graceful manner and relished secretly as the blade cut through the armor and into the right shoulder of the man.
    After feeling his weapon getting lodged within the man that was now howling like a whipped dog he spun to the left where his second target was and drew his other blade from his back and flicked his wrist down to cause the blade to flip in the opposite direction and stepped inwards. The blade pierced the young man's chest and he died instantly, falling to the ground soundless.
    Reon flipped the blade back to its usually held position and brought it over the neck of the older soldier. In a cold voice he spoke commandingly, "I want the keycard, please..." Before his enemy could reply he pulled his left arm back as the head of his opponent dipped low and fell off the shoulders of its host and rolled into a nearby cubicle.
    Reon looked at the mess he had made and sheathed his weapons. "Humph...standard soldiers...what a waste of time." He squatted down and snatched the keycard that was inside the pouch of the newly decapitated soldier and stood up and started to the elevator which would lead him to his target. He looked back into the darkened office and sighed.
    He had killed his opponents in a longer elapsed time than he did the others within the city streets.
