Alright Wayward, this should be decent enough.
Rules are simple: No godmods, powerplaying, etc etc. And as this is a floating arena, fall off and you're most likely toast. I'll be using Sho of course. The version from Arabian nights. And you?

Name: Sho *The Grim Heaper* Minamimoto

    Age: 18

Appearance: Sho stands at 6 feet 3 inches tall, and weighs 185 pounds. He has blue/yellow eyes and tannish skin. He wears ripped black&blue jeans and a short black and red coat, and a silver necklace with a skull on the end, as well as a lion head adorned on his belt.

Personality: Sho's cunning and brutal cat&mouse tactics are well known and feared by many. His only visible human quality besides his appearance is his infamous math jokes. Sho utilizes his brains, brawn, and speed to wear down and destroy his opponents.

Bio: Sho is a math loving Savage who leads the desert nomads. His identity is not known by the people of Agrabah, but some rumors say he resides within The Cave of Wonders

    Name: Britannia Vulpes
    Titles/Nicknames: The Fox
    Age: 20
    Gender: Female

    Appearance:

    Weaponry & Equipment
    - Metallic Bo Staff (something similar to a titanium alloy; light in weight, but durable)
    - Two Long Daggers (both about a foot in length at the blade)
    - Clawed Gauntlets (one on either hand; protects the length of her forearms)
    - 5 Impact Smoke Bombs

    Biographical Information:
Britannia has been an obscure face for some time, having spent the majority of her teen years as a runaway from her homelands. She's spent those years as a wandering thief, making her living off of whatever she can steal. Whether it's gold and jewels, a good meal, or weapons and other combat equipment, she's looking to take a good cut of it for herself. She's not much for killing though, since she'd rather just leave the people she victimizes hanging with little to nothing.

Tall tales and myths from around the world told of castles and palaces of great majesty being built to the sky. But the place wherein Britannia stood was something that even those tales and myths had never given mention to. Literally, it was a castle that had been built and raised into the sky above. How it was done, she didn't bother to ask. Nor did she question how she had gotten there in the first place. All that really mattered to her was a shimmering, rainbow jewel that she had dug out from one of the dilapidated vaults deep in the castle. It was a good pick, one that no one in the world had likely seen. Once she figured out how to get down from the castle, she figured she might be able to buy out an entire kingdom for it.

Imagine! Me! With my own kingdom! She mused, not knowing what she'd do with herself if she had one.

She was nearly in the entrance hall of the castle when she heard a demanding voice call into the castle. At the sound she stopped in the corridor leading into the hall, where she surmised the voice had called from. She was well out of sight but she knew her voice would be heard through the echoing halls. "Now, now," she called back. "Do you really think that you'll be welcomed in with those sort of manners?"

Sho's ears twitched at the new voice and, like a cat, he bolted. His laugh could be heard throughout the entire castle as he raced towards the voice. He saw a shadow and skidded to a stop before hiding behind a column. Sho thought fast and chucked a dagger against the wall adjacent to him in hopes the other would follow it.

((Minor grievance: your profile lists no daggers in Sho's inventory of weapons or items on hand. Avoid the use of things that aren't mentioned in your profile. That includes weapons, items, and abilities that exceed established or assumed parameters)).

Brit waited, hidden away in her dim-lit corridor to see if her ruse had drawn the attention of the newcomer. She heard no footsteps falling, though could swear that she heard some inevitable shuffling as someone moved across the floor. Whoever it was that had entered the castle, they were as stealthy and quick as she was, if not more so. It would be an interesting fight if it ever got started. She only hoped that her company hadn't fled the castle; that would have been an anti-climactic ending to her day.

Her ears perked at the sound of metal clanging against stone. Her new 'friend' was still lingering, trying to coax her out of hiding. She peered out from her corridor, and saw no other signs of life. They were hiding somewhere as well. But it wouldn't do for her to wait and play games; she wanted to see some action. Even if it meant putting herself in harm's way, she would give this friend an opening to take the first shot. She took the gemstone, and stowed it beneath her top, safely resting the smooth, rounded treasure amidst her bosom; she hadn't come this far to have her findings robbed.

She held her staff in her right hand, chocking up about a quarter of the length, but kept her stance so that her right side would remain, for the most part, unseen. Carefully and cautiously, she edged her way to the opening at the end of the corridor, stepping out just enough to put herself in open sight.

(Sorry bout that Wayward xD I thought the fact he lives in the desert and is a nomad would explain he has last resort weaponry.)

Sho got a good look at his opponent and smirked, slowly he drew his twin blades, one had a "G" engraved in it and one with a "C", before lowering himself to a crouch and diving blades first at the girl.

(Ugh... short I know, sorry DX)

Albeit out of the corner of her eye, Britannia saw her opponent reveal himself from behind the pillar. She came further out of the corridor to gain a better view of him, while still keeping her staff arm faced away from him and hidden. He looked to be a cold heart, and possibly deranged and off-kilter. Otherwise, he didn’t seem very threatening. She found his choice of weapons, a double wielding of long swords, strange. He had the weight and power behind him. The only question was whether he’d have the smarts to use it. If he did, Brit recognized, that she’d have a hard run for her money… or rather, her gem.

Brit’s opponent was quick to take the offensive, putting Brit in an evasive frame of mind. His crouching stance was a telling sign, and became all the more so when he sprang forward. To easy, Brit thought. Sidestepping the attack she let her opponent dive passed her where the only thing meet him would be the rough, hard stone floors. She wheeled around, following his path. She adjusted her grip on her staff; her right hand stayed at the top end while her left hand held on about a foot and a half down, both hands with thumbs facing up. Taking a step forward to put herself in a better range, she thrust the staff down to the backside of her opponent’s neck near the head, where she would then press down, and mount pressure.

Sho was impressed, he didn't see that coming, however, he managed to lessen the impact by curling himself into a ball at the last second. "That... *huff* wasn't a bad move kid... But... now it's my turn." He uncurled and leapt into the air, and as he started descending, spun himself like a top with both swords extended, aimed right at his opponent's skull.

Being far from stiff, Britannia's strike clanged off against the stone floor with a slight rebound, which she used to her better interests in recoiling from the failed attack. Following along with this momentum, she shuffled several paces away from her opponent. By the time he was back to his feet, she had reached a distance out of reach of his swords.

As her opponent took to the air once more, Britannia to the ground. Angling herself to her her opponent's left side, she lowered into a tuck and roll. Her bo staff was held horizontally across her chest, allowing her to shift her somersault around it with little obstruction. The maneuver put her both underneath, and away from the spinning strike.

She ended well-positioned just a couple of feet away from her opponent and slightly to the left of where he eventually landed. With a quick repositioning pivot (though remaining crouched), she faced towards her opponent, anchoring her staff at the right side of her body in the process. Having set her bearings right, she raised her anchor to about chest level, and thrust her staff forward with her right hand, allowing it to slide through the left hand which was used as a guide.

The thrust shot up. If Sho were to have landed with his back to Britannia, the strike would be on mark towards his upper back. If he had managed to spin around to face her, or if he had repositioned himself to the end, he'd have the bo targeting the spot just below his sternum.

"Shit!" Sho was launched backwards by the staff's imact against his sternum, however his life in the desert had hardened his body, and the damage was minimal. He stood slowly, even if the damage was small the pain still existed, and he smirked, "Haven't had an opponent this good in decades. Keep me amused kid, time for me to go all out." Sho gripped his swords and turned them so the but ends were facing each other, he pushed a small button on the two blades which opened a spiked bottom on one and an empty hole in the other. He pushed them into each other, effectively combining the blades into one.

"Now, let's see how you dance." He quickly dashed left and right towards his opponent, closing in on her in seconds, when he was in striking distance he crouched and used his legs to trip-up the girl while swinging his double blade across towards her chest.

((Typically a force that's enough to knock a person back a few feet would be enough to cause legitimate damage. But tolerance for it can be reasoned to allow him to ignore it)).

With her opponent temporarily subdued by the undoubted pain against his chest, Brit lifted herself back to a standing position. She withdrew her staff, concealing it in the cover of her right side, which was faced away from her opponent. From such a position, she'd have been able to maneuver the staff without her intentions being obvious; she could use it to trip him when he charged again, push forward in another thrust, or make a swinging strike, and he'd not know it until it was already happening. Her next strike would be a certain hit; or at least that was the plan.

But what happened was not an easy strike; not for Brit anyways. She had prepared herself to make a swinging strike. Her stance was narrow, and her opponent had placed himself low and swept her legs out from under her. Falling to the ground, Brit flung her arms to her sides. Putting them below the level of her torso as she descended, she used them to carefully take the initial shock of the impact, minimizing the pain on her back when it made contact. Seeing the blade swinging in towards her chest, Brit, still laying on the floor, raised he staff out, replacing her left hand upon it at about a sixteen inch gap from her right hand. In the space between the two, the staff and sword clanged and crossed; the blade came to a halt ten inches from its intended target.*

Brit began to push the blade back. But even in such a labored pursuit, she made another move. Quick and precise, she bent the knee opposite her staff, and struck up with a sharp kick into the underside of her opponent's groin; if this went according to plan, she'd have enough time to get back to her feet again, at the very least.
