Avatar: The Battle for the 4 Nations

It has been thousands of years since the battle between Aang and the Firelord and the world has progressed dramatically, allowing space travel but because of this, the role of becoming the avatar has spreaded throughout many worlds. 2 worlds are now fighting against each other; Overos and the 4 Nations. Overos' king, Nefirus has started to invade 4 Nations and now they are both at war. Overos has warriors of brutal nature but most of the 4 Nations' warriors use defensive techniques, except for the Firebenders. Many people call Overos, the new Ozai. The reason why he wants to invade the land is for resources. The world of Overos is very damp and the population has been living on biological food made from scientists but now resources are thinning. Nothing can be grown with the lack of sunlight and terrible crops. He also keeps a deep seated grudge for the leaders of the Four Nations, who called him an imbecile because of his reliance of technology and his over expansion of buildings for its people. Overos is a very small world, which is the size of the Earth Nation and the world has only 1 ocean, which reaches 200 km from one side of land to the other. It is one great piece of earth (like Pangaea). His final reason is for his own gain. He wants to own the land like Ozai did. He wants to rule both worlds and conquer others.

Now, Nefirus is after the world of the Four Nations and now is the opportune moment for him because 14 years ago, the Avatar died of old age. Ever since then, he has began building his army and on the day of Sozin's Comet, he is now attacking The Four Nations. He has now attacked the Fire Nation's capital by surprise and after a mere few hours, Nefirus has throned himself the Firelord.

Overos' population contains people who came over to Overos from the 4 Nations because they wanted a new life. The 4 Nations is a rural world, while Overos focuses on technology. It's population is smaller than the 4 Nations but their armies are far more superior. The people who live in Overos are ruled under a "Hitler" like system. It is a very dark world and technology provides light during the long evenings. The people of Overos regret moving and they can't leave because the government doesn't allow them to. The soldiers in his armies fight for him because firstly, they are selected for "testing" but once they are "tested", their minds are controlled by their commanders and they "disappear".

This is Overos' capital. It is called Sulfus.




The 4 Nations have never changed but land has been created, due to population booms. It has been 1000 years after all. Many people haven't changed. The palaces of all the nations have been intact. The biggest change is the forming of the New AirNation by Avatar Aang, one thousand years ago and have thrived among the new world they live on. There are now 5000 Air Benders in the world. Ever since Aang fought the Fire Lord, life in the world has been well and no wars have been fought but as technology evolutions grew, there was tension between the old lifestyle and the new lifestyle. An ancestor of Nefirus, Osmoda evolved space travel and the leaders of the world decided to bring people to the New World. People were excited because they hated the old way of living and they wanted instant rewards and powers and through technology, they were able to accomplish this. With all the positives from technology, many people (almost a third of the population of the Four Nations) moved to Overos. This was 100 years ago. The 2 worlds prospered for many years but as resources wore out in Overos, there was tension for the technological planet but before the current Avatar, Roshkan could do anything, he died.

Now, an airbender named Shinx is the new Avatar but is he ready to face his destiny of defending the 4 Nations?

NOTES:

Technological Weapons means guns, weapons which include the elements and small robot suits. Large robot suits are to be consulted with me beforewise because I have had problems with overpowered robots before....

Be as imaginative as you can with technology and elements. I ENCOURAGE it but do not make it overpowered. Make it have a weakness (maybe water making it disfunctional?)

Name: Kronos

Age: 48

Side: Evil

Element: Fire-bending

Weapons: Twin flatblades through which he can channel his fire-bending into flaming slashes. Also carries a long metal whip at his hip which he can also channel his Fire-beniding through. He also carries a small sidearm pistol.

World: Overos

Bio: Kronos is a middle aged Fire-bender of the Overos world. Since he was young, he has been practicing his fire-bending skills as well as martial arts training. For many years, he worked beneath the radar as a mercenary, taking contracts and getting paid by the head. After being captured by the law enforcement for his crimes, he was put away in a penitentiary for 6 long years of his life. Finally, he caught his chance when one of his guards lit a cigarrette for his smoke break. Kronos surged the cigarrette flames down his throat and burned him alive from the inside out. From there, he blasted a hole through his cell and escaped the prison.

Kronos was on the run for nearly 10 years. When he was captured again, the leader of Overos could not overlook his talents. He enlisted him into his service as his right hand man, and Kronos now follows Nefirus's every command as long as there is a check behind it. As with all Mercenaries, his loyalties go to the highest bidder, which nearly 99% of the time is Nefirus. He has a special connection to the Fire-Nation however, not only being a bender himself, but because he is the ancestral child of the long gone Prince Zuko, and like his forefathers, he wishes to restore honor to his name no matter what the cost.

Appearance: Kronos is 6'3" tall, his eyes are black like a dolls eyes. His skin is tattered and worn from years of combat and near death experiences. He weighs roughly 215 pounds of rugged muscle. His hair style is a dirty blonde rat tail tied back, and on his face he has a full goatee-mustache combo. He wears light black and red plate metal armor that more than enough protects him.

Name: Neferius

Age: 37

Side: Overos (Leader)

Element: Technological superiority.

Weapons: He has a few. His main is the scythe in the picture. Not only is he extremely skilled with it, it was made by the best scientists on Overos. With the simple press of a button, the blade becomes charged with electricity.
He also carries a small six shot pistol. It's weak, not able to penetrate metal armor unless it's point blank. It never leaves his side and the bullets it fires can be charged with elemental power if he dips the barrel in the element he's charging them with. (Earth is he sticks it n the dirt, Water is in some water, Fire is putting it in flame, and Air is blowing down the barrel)

The suit is twelve feet tall and has flight capabilities in addition to it's energy scythe. It's made of very tough metals that are highly resistant to temperatures, it can't freeze or melt. It's energy cell lasts for about an hour and is recharged after every battle. It can recharge on it's own but that requires it remaining perfectly still.

World: While he was born and raised on Overos, Neferius stays at the Fire Nation capital to more efficiently rule his conquered world.

Bio: Neferius was born Selim Kaynos. Being the descendant of the inventor of space travel, Neferius never had any trouble with money or status. He was raised to believe that he was better than anybody else because of his father, the grand dictator of Overos. He went to the best schools and had multiple tutors teaching him about everything from history and math to fighting and weaponry. Neferius always knew he would become ruler of Overos, he was taught that from the moment he could remember anything. Neferius graduated from his school at the top of his class, and soon surpassed all his tutors. He was hailed as the smartest child in history, and he always got what he wanted. Soon he signed into the military and proved his worth with his through the conquering of the small rebellions on Overos. Then his father mysteriously died. While no cause was ever found, by right of succession Neferius became the leader. His first change was to cast aside his old name, taking on the title Neferius.

As soon as Neferius became leader, he set his sights towards the original planet of his people. He began creating invasion plans and started building his super army. He knew he couldn't do anything while the wretched Avatar was alive, so he busied himself on human experiments on controlling the mind and duplicating the Avatar's powers. His science division built him a super scythe and gun as well as his own personal battle suit. They impressed him enough that he ordered similar weapons for his generals, as well as advanced weapons for his soldiers. His mind control experiments began to show promise as well so he instituted the program on his low level soldiers to receive better troop results. Then the promised day finally happened, the Avatar died. Within hours of hearing the news Neferius had his assault ready and in motion.

It only took two weeks. The world of the four nations was under his direct control. Neferius took his throne at the fire nation capital, in reference to the almost invincible Phoenix King. Neferius decreed that bending against his empire is forbidden and the benders of any element are to be captured or killed if they refuse to serve him. Neferius also began a new search for the new Avatar because he knew that a new Avatar would be born and would possibly pose an eventual threat to his rule. It's been a few years since Neferius took over and while he still faces some resistance from the more rebellious benders, he knows that soon his final plan will be ready and he'll be able to eliminate the final thoughts of resistance from everyone. He also still has his search going out for the Avatar, but feels that it's more symbolic of crushing the natives hope now than it is about any possible threat.

Appearance: Neferius stands at six feet tall. His eyes are a deep blood red. The scars on his chest are from his breif service in the military as a regular trooper.

Name: Teva

Age: 19

Side: Four Nations

Element: Teva is an Earthbender. She's also trying to learn Metalbending but is having difficulty.

Weapon: The spear in the picture. The shaft is golden while the blade is the clearest silver. The entire thing is made of the best steel that her people could produce.

World: Four Nations, she's never left the Earth Kingdom though.

Bio: Teva was born in Ba Sing Sei and she's a direct descendant of the Earthbending master Toph Bei Fong. When she showed she could Earthbend at seven her family started to teach her the family style passed down from Toph herself. As such she's quickly became an expert, able to take on other Earthbenders that had trained for years more.

Teva always had an enjoyable time with her parents and brother. They were upper-class but never restricted or forced her to do something she didn't want to do. Though she's never been mean to anyone in her life, she's somewhat used to getting her own way. When she finally finished her Earthbending training at the age of thirteen, Teva was introduced to the secret family art, Metalbending. However she struggled for the first time she can remember, barely able to feel the purified earth in the metal. She's been training to master it ever since.

Teva had heard of other planets but never really felt like going to them because she loved the Earth Kingdom so much. When Neferius attacked, Ba Sing Sei readied it's army. Her brother left but Teva was too afraid to fight. It wasn't long before the Impenetrable City was attacked. With their powerful weapons, her home was quickly overrun. Her brother died fighting, her parents were injured, and Teva did nothing but hide like a scared child. Seeing the destruction afterwards changed her outlook on things and Teva vowed to not only avenge her brother and parents but to never hide again. Ever since, Teva has been training her skills and working with the resistance to defeat Neferius.

Appearance: Teva's hair is black while her headband is golden. Her clothes are gold and green the traditional colors of the Earth Kingdom. Mainly green with gold accents.

World: The Four Nations (Air Nation)
Bio: Shinx was born directly after the previous Avatar's death and has lived as an airbender during his entire life but ever since that fateful night of his birth, the world has completely changed. The Overons have taken over the beautiful world of The Four Nations, corrupting the peace and murdering the people who stand up to them. Shinx believes that something should be done but the air benders, as calming as they are, tell him not to confront them. He is very different from the others. To start off with, he is not bold and he likes to conceal the blue arrow on his head because he is embarrassed by it. He thinks it's unusual but on the day of his fourteenth birthday, he was told that he was the Avatar, a being of great power. Many people though, are keeping this to whispers, due to the prevalent Overian soldiers roaming around their halls. Shinx is very much like Aang and like the other heroes of this story, he has family history with Avatar Aang. The two avatars during this story will have a very close connection than any other avatars have. Shinx is a boy who likes to think positive but he also likes to establish people's intentions before meeting them. A problem, which may arise, is that he gets painful headaches, which cause him to fall to sleep. In these sleeps, he gets many visions of the people he loves being killed and seeing the Airnation in flames. This worries him. The flying bisen, Appa died many years ago and that ended the line of species but another species, the Ghria, is still living and has been used for riding by the Air Benders for many years. It is a flying horse (Like Pegasus) and it is faster than the bison. It is triple the size of a normal horse and can fly for many miles. Shinx calls his Ghria, Adia.

uh, Sorabrawl? the Avatar goes in cycles; Water, Earth, Fire, Air in that order always, for example if Aan had died then when it came tme for a new Air Avatar, one never would have come because the Air nation would've been completely gone. so for him to be the first Air Avatar since Aang means only three Avatar came between Aang and Shinx. so unless that's true, you're gonna need to fix that.

Quick question, saw your template and you mentioned having two avatars? You mean completely two different avatars or what?

World: The Four Nations- Water Nation: South Pole
Bio: Kairi lives in the south pole water tribe. She has been studying to be a water bender since she was real young. She hopes to become a powerful warrior one day that can help to save the world like th elegend of the Avatar Aang and his friends. She wishes she could learn other elements as well like the avatar, but knows only the avatar can do that. She still wants to be a great warrior.

Kairi isn't a fan of the advancement in teachnology so she ignores it and sticks to water bending. She is also good with using a bow and arrow.

Kairi watches as many of the warriors leave every year to go fight the Overos'. Kairi can only sit and watch. She wants to do something, but unfortunately can't so she helps by watching over her village.
