Anonymous vs. Scientology

    Now then, I'm pretty sure some of us have heard of this.

    Personally, I am part of Anonymous so by association I'm on Anon's side.

    But how about you guys? Corrupted religion or Internet vigilante justice?

    Doesn't it kinda defeat the purpose to say you're part of anonymous? Cause now you're not, :p.

    Honestly, I don't really care. If people want to believe in Scientology, let them. It's their business, and it honestly doesn't affect me at all. I'm honestly not sure why y'all care. Have they done anything to you, or did you just decide, "Let's screw with 'em cause we think they're stupid and we can"? What is the motivation to go after Scientology in the first place? I don't know much about it other than y'all basically declared war on them.

    Oh, and if you're gonna do the whole V for Vendetta thing, you have to actually blow up the building? :p. Did you at least have the 1812 Overture playing?

    Actually, the protests are meant to be peaceful. So no violence.

    And we care because they scam people out of their money. They do wrong just to fatten their own pockets.

    And uhh...

    Actually, I'm still anonymous. You just know that I'm a guy who uses a fake name of 'SkylerOcon' when he goes on the Internet.

    OK, SkylerOcon can correct me if I'm wrong on this stuff, as I've only heard it in passing, but basically. from what I understand, it's this.

    Anonymous is a group of hackers. Scientology is a "religion". I think it's the one with all the crystals but I'm not 100% sure on that. It's popular among celebrities, though the concept of a religion being a fad is just kinda weird to me.

    Anonymous has more or less declared war on Scientology. They hacked all of their websites and brought them down. Scientology brought them back and up and said their security was better and they couldn't do it again. They did. Only that time, anyone going to one of those sites was redirected to a page with a shot from then end of V for Vendetta, where everyone was standing outside with the Guy Fawkes masks on. The page had a date and a location (A Scientology center in CA I believe) saying bring your own mask. And people actually showed up and wore the masks.

    Again, my knowledge of this is only hearsay, so feel free to correct me on it.

    I still say I don't much care. Someone wants to believe it, let them. I think it's kinda absurd, but that's their business, not mine. And even if it is a scam (I'm not saying it isn't, I just don't really know that much about it), if someone's dumb enough to be taken in, let them be. It's like those emails you get where supposedly some bank in Britain wants you to have the account of some rich Chinese guy who died with all his family in a plane crash, or some other nonsense like that. If you're dumb enough to reply to the email and give them your bank account number and other information, you deserve to have your identity stolen and your account wiped clean.

    There are plenty of scams in the world. What's so special about this one?

    Hmm, this is interesting, ima do more research on this......

    Let people believe what they want, who is one to criticize another's beliefs when no one is actually sure about anything.

    Well, the whole thing about Anonymous being hackers was started by Fox. Only some of us are. Matter of fact, most of us are just smart asses that just plan what the hackers do.

    And, the thing about Scientology is that they play it off as a religion. That's a bad thing to scam people with. Not only that, but it's very corrupt. They take all the stuff from the Christian bible about people who don't believe in whatever God and multiply it by like 20 billion.

    Anyway, we're just trying to stop people from wasting their money.

    Hey it`s a series of beliefs and practices, it`s a religion. Don`t get me wrong, im catholic.

    Thats what i hate about most Christians, All they do is hate on other religions

    -They started they untrue fact that satanism was about worshiping teh devil

    -They started they untrue fact that the pentagram was about satanism

    eh im going to say anymore.
