Aloof Debates #1

Well hello all! This is Haresuno -as if you couldn't tell-. Lately I've been rather bored and I feel the need to debate. Now here are some things I want you to understand about my Aloof Debates. Though the name is "aloof" -which means basically remote- these debates can intertwine with other debates.

I want anyone who participates to try something different. If you see people leaning one way, research and lean the other just to challenge them. That way we can keep these interesting.

I would like people to actually read through these threads so that they don't re-post something that has been already said!

What I mean by this is that I know ideas over lap, but I don't want people spitting out events in their lives and state their point of view and leave it at that. If you have a story, make it fit. Don't single yourself out, mingle.

The point of this thread -or rather the actual topic- is this: Is evil a total necessity?

I want to hear your points before I express mine. If you have a question about what I mean then ask.

    Have fun~.

ok, i so will win this! but yes evil is necessary, and is not, with good stuff comes bad stuff, so evil is there, it helps bl acne out the bad with the good. but without evil the world would be a better place.

Debates are not truly won or lost. Please keep that in mind.

Yes evil balances. Yes the world would be better off without it. But how exactly is it needed?

i know debates cant be won or lost but it would be bettor without it cause no more wold hearos need to use their powers to save people, they would never have to lose their head(I'm talking in real sense.) then people wouldnt have to worr and people could rest even more than what they do now.

But if there wasn't any evil out there, we would get used to the fact that everything is good and there would not be any threaths, so we would not be on our guard for anything to happen. But when something (or someone) evil would just pop out of nowhere, boy, would we be screwed.

That's under the assumption that evil exists every where. Evil is a perception based on peoples realities. What you do is considered evil to someone else because you tread on them.

Answer: You haven't really answered my question. How is evil needed.

good block on that, nearly stumped me, buttttt, evil is just something that people could get away, they could have people that could take out evil, some kinda back up plan. so if it did come back we would be ready, yes we would be used to goodness, but what about books, that tell of what happened. so we wouldn't really be scwerd.

Let me ask you it in a different way. What is the definition of good to you?

good, to me is like telling the trueth, helping someone, being a hero, loving, have a good sense of what is right and wrong. and a lot more.

  10. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Truth, right and wrong. Those are perceptions.

I half expected you to say order.

Evil is needed because without it, there would be no strive to do good.

Ah ha! Thank you Desert you hit the one thing I was waiting for!

But why do people need evil in order to strive? Are we that lazy?

i sayed a lot more. i cant list it all, what's your good?

My definition of good? Hm.. Well that depends on what area I want to cover.

Socially the proper definition would be something like: I believe that standing up for woman, children, and others who cannot defend themselves. I believe in taking a stand when I see others being berated, beaten, and simply put-down. I believe in calling the proper authorities because I myself can only do so much with the knowledge I have.

Naturally the definition I would say for good is this: what is our Chaos

chaos, yes, really, is just something like evil, it hurts people, tears them apart, makes the world become a place of blood shed.

  16. Haresuno

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

No. Chaos to me is not evil. Order is something we define. We look at the world and see it in "chaos" and feel a need to play keeper where we bring things into order. Natural order is what we believe to be chaos. If you think chaos hurts people, makes the world filled with bloodshed, and tears people apart then you are probably afraid to go back into that chaotic way of living. You live by preservation of the self and because of that you fear the natural order of things. You see it as a place that is unruly and filled with bloodshed.

    Yet, I ask you this.

Is it really so chaotic? Is it really so bad?

yes, rapes, wars, betrayers, killers, money controls all, it seems chaotic to me. it needs order, that would be good, not some hitler order, but like MX (malcom x) order.

Rape: In nature unless an animal mates for life they usually don't have mates so in nature there is nothing to distinguish rape. An example would be cats.

War: This is a human thing. This is not chaos but a result from "order". When people don't want to conform to a specific order they rebel and it eventually leads to a war of some sort where the object is to wipe out all opposition. In nature there are disputes yes, but no full fledged wars where one group tries to savagely destroy the other.

Betrayers: In a pack, wolves work together for the benefit of the pack. If a member tries to do something on their own against the pack they either die or are banished. From there they either become loners or join another pack.

    Money: A result from "order"

The chaos you describe is entirely different from the one I'm pointing out.

    Answer Man Man I'm Awesome

what are you pointing out then?

    Haresuno KH-3's Übermensch

Something that humans try and get away from is natural chaos. The mother to us all. All forms of life. There is a book I'd like you to read, but it depends on you weather you will or not. It's called Ishmael and it's by Daniel Quinn.

What I am trying to point out is that one of the good things so many people fight for could actually be an evil and you would call me a blasphemer or a heretic or an evil doer as it were.
