    They're saying cardiac arrest, but I've seen no reports on why the cardiac arrest occured. I think a lot of people are jumping to the "drug overdose" conclusion.

    I wasn't much of a fan, though I loved Uptown Girls. It's a shame so many people in Hollywood have been dying this year.

    That's terrible. I'm not much of a fan of her either but it's even more terrible when people pass away during the holidays or when it's time for a brand new year to start. Why cardiac arrest anyways?

    :C she was cute. Only movie of hers I recall seeing was 8 Mile, which she was great in.

    The coroner hasn't released the cause of death yet. Wiki says cardiac arrest can result from trauma, non-trauma related bleeding (like intercranial hemorrhage), overdose, and pulmonary embolism (blockage of the main artery of the lung or one of its branches) to name a few.

    And I agree with summonerBWM, it's a shame that this had to occur so close to the holidays.

    Aw, this is sad. A lot of celebs have been dying this year, but it hasn't been any I've really recognized. I'll have to watch Clueless tonight in her memory. :c

    An update: her family has said that she was ill with flu-like symptoms in the days before her death. An autopsy is planned for Monday or Tuesday.
