A New Chaos (A Whole New Kingdom Hearts Story)

"Dammit," the blue haired boy thought, walking in the rain, "Another failing grade." Before the boy he held a test paper from West Sora University. The paper had several red marks on it and a large 'F' circled at the top. He moved some of his blue hair out of the way and saw that the paper was getting wet from the rain, tearing apart in his hands. He dropped the paper and let it fall to the ground. It wasn't that Aquus didn't like school, it was just that he spent his time elsewhere. Besides, the school was heavily influenced by the fascist government of the city, making the ruler seem like a saint he obviously was not. Aquus saw another boy that went to his school walk into a house with what looked like a bag of groceries (Kiro). He wondered if he was doing any better than him. The only possession Aquus had was a sword strapped to his back that he valued greatly sentimentally. He had no umbrella, but he didn't want one. He looked up at the rain and smiled, "I love water," he whispered to himself. He stopped in front of Kiro's house and just started to dance in the rain. He was sure that he looked like a fool to whoever was in the house he stopped in front of, but he couldn't help it. He loved water, especially the rain, his name even meant 'Water' in another language. He was a little sad that out of all the magic he knew, none could summon water. He knew a handful of Blizzard spells, but they didn't feel the same. After about fifteen seconds of dancing, Aquus stopped, realizing that he no longer had a home to go to. He had been evicted this morning, no money left in his savings to pay for his rent. He had already paid for school for the rest of the year, but the way things were going, he would be kicked out, his money wasted. Sitting on the curb in front of the other boy's house, he used his magic to form a small block of ice for him to suck the water from, giving him the greatest amount of nourishment it could.

 

Miya heard the door open and she looked up as her best friend, Kiro walked in. She looked back down at the book she was reading before closing it. She heard the rickety chair. She stood up and looked at him.

"well...?" She asked him referring to if he saw anybody else affected by the 'disease' in the city. She walked over to the grocery potatoe bag and lifted it up. She had little energy due to lack of sleep but she was strong. She walked over to the kitchen. She grabbed a pot filled with water from the rain outside, one of 10 pots. The water wasn't clean but it was water. She put the pot on the stove before turning it one. She began to slice the potatoe and stuck them in the pot as she prepaired their dinner before she had to go to work.

 

Kyobashi Sei scrambled along the alleyways of the raining city, running for dear life. It was quite obvious to the nonexistent bystander that he was being chased by something diabolical in nature, especially with the noise of the thing knocking down trash cans a debris as it scrambled to turn corners.

"Why meeee?!" He cried, turning for a mere instant to look at his foe. The creature was definitely humanoid in structure, but the similarities ended there. The monstrous thing was covered in horns, blackened skin, and god knows what else one can describe. One thing definitely could be identified for sure; it wanted a piece of Sei. And so, the young adult immediately wished he hadn't turned around, and he responded by pulling out his revolver and firing a double-shot. The fiery bullets embedded themselves in the creature's flesh and it yowled in pain. It immediately retreated into the shadows of the soaked citadel, disappearing from view. With this, Sei breathed a sigh of relief.

Looking around, the teenager noticed that he was, conveniently, on Kiro's street. A quick trot down the road and a curious look at a nearby scholar, he knocked on his friend's door.

"Heeeey, Kiro. It's Sei. Let me in! I'm wet, tired, and I almost just got mauled." He begged, lightly knocking.

 

Hearing the shot, Aquus stood up and unsheathed his sword, waiting for a threat to come his way. Instead, however, he was greeted by someone about his age that he recognized from school, but couldn't figure out his name. He saw him knocking on the door and tapped him on the shoulder. "Are you alright?" he asked, the rain continuing to fall on him, "I heard gunshots," pushing his wet hair away from his eyes, he summoned another small block of ice, "Care for something to drink?" he asked, offering the boy the block of ice.

 

"Hmmm. To learn or not to learn; this is the free will of all beings kupo." A small moogle started to walk down the streets with a hat on with the stars and the moon lit up in the rain so that he can see better. "EW EW EW! I DO NOT WANT MY POM-POM WET KUPO!!" The moogle started to use his wings to start gliding in the air and started to smile as he took out a small bag. "3,700 MUNNY MADE TODAY!! I AM OH SO FLABBERGASTED KUPO!! I better hurry and make the new addition of the struggle weapons kupo."

He started to smile with great delight but one man started to run without any sense and knocked Gino down into a puddle with no remorse. "OH DAGGUMMIT!! WATCH WHERE YOU RUN YOU FREAK KUPO!" He then saw a small being with two antennas started to head northwest. "Uh oh. It is them again kupo. Time for me to start knocking down some bad boys kupo." Gino started to jump back up and started to fly after the strange being...

 

Zarnic looked out the window of his massive house. It was grey and raining outside, but the inside was illuminated from the massive fire behind Zarnic. He took a deep breath and grinned. "What a wonderful day it is. Tax day sure is something else." He looked down, seeing the dark creatures run through some of the streets. "In fact, we're almost completely prepared." Zarnic looked at the poorer section of Sora. "I need to do something about that part. Never liked it. All the scum of the city reside there. They need to get out of my city."

 

Aquus was surprised to see the door open and someone pull him inside, but he managed to catch a glimpse of what he was being rescued from. When he was free in the house, he unsheathed his sword and waited. "Quiet," he urged the others. Pulling the curtains away slightly, he looked out onto the street. He could see the creatures more clearly now. Aquus held his breath, hoping the others did the same. He waited for what seemed like forever, but in reality was only a few seconds. He saw the creatures, about three in number, run down the street and turn a corner. "It's okay, they're gone," Aquus said, breathing in relief.

 

Miya stood in her room and heard Kiro scream. She immediately ran down the stairs and half fell down them. She caught herself on the falling apart splinter railing on the bottom step. She brushed herself off.

"What's going on?" She asked. She glanced out the window and the saw the creatures turn the corner. She knew why and sighed.

"Tax day..." She mumbled. "There's always so many when tax day comes along." She continued to mumble. She looked around the room and saw two other guests. None she really knew, she knew Sei some because he was friends with Kiro the other person she didn't recognize.

 

"Hi Diya. . . or was it Miya?" Sei greeted half-heartedly. "You wouldn't have fangeley monster repellant, would you? I nearly got mauled by one in the alleys."

It was at this point that the young adult pulled out this trademark dagger and lit it. First he heated up his hands with it, then proceeded to use it to dry himself off. "I hate rain." He grumbled, casting a glance out the window while he held the dagger near his stomach. "It always makes running from those things that much harder."

 

Aquus turned to Miya, he had known her from school as well, but not by name. "Thank you for saving me," he said bowing slightly, "but I must be getting home now," he said, trying his best to not reveal his lie. The last thing he wanted to do right now was to make his problem someone elses. He smiled at them, turning to the door, "Perhaps I'll see you all at school tomorrow? Don't you all go to West Sora U?"

 

Gino started to follow the same black creature with curiousity. He started to see the creature going past a house (That is where all of you are at) and he started to fly harder. "Kupo? This is strange." Gino then stopped at the front of the door and started to have a bigger nose. "Something feels weird. A power that is helpful or one that must be pierced. I must know kupo!" Gino then started to fly down to the ground, took out his staff and used it to knock on the door. "GINO'S STRUGGLE COMPETITIONS AND ENTERTAINMENT PROVIDING!!"

 

Aquus opened the door about to head out into the rain when he nearly stepped on the creature (Gino......duh). Aquus looked quizzicly at the creature, smiling, "What are you?" He asked politely. He did not know what to think of the creature, it looked harmless enough, though it carried a staff, suggesting that it knew how to fight. It was adorable, but something about it put him on edge. "Is there something you need?" He asked the moogle.

 

Gino took his stave and pushed Aquus with a frown as he walked inside the house. He then closed the door with his stave and started to look around. "Hm... very cozy but small don't you think?" He then started to look at Aquus and then looked at Miya, Sei and Kiro at a steady pace. "Now... who made this famous business manager sense this force?" He looked at Aquus with his eyes all closed up and then opened them back up. " Kupo. You may be of her bloodline but I am trying to figure out why you are in a somewhat situation in which I am in too. You deserve this weapon kupo." He started to bring out a weapon from his bag that was the struggle wand and threw it in his face.

"KUPO?" He then ran towards Kiro and Miya at a fast pace and his nose was touching Kiro's forehead. "Wonderful! Wonderful! No wonder I had sense it!" He then took out his staff and then brought out one struggle bat and one struggle sword. The struggle bat was thrown at Kiro and the Struggle sword was thrown at Miya. "I pray that the two of you will make this city flourish, especially my business kupo." He then looked at Sei but was disgusted at him. "You are such a dumb dumb kupo! You deserve this weapon that I have just created that would soon be making the top weapon hits for the next struggle tournament!" He used his stave and summoned a struggle hammer and he threw it at Sei's face.

"Now... to see what I would get in return." He started to use his nose to start sniffing the air. His pom-pom started to spin and Gino jumped up happily. "I SMELL MUNNY KUPO!!!" Gino started to run upstairs and made a left to hurry straight towards Miya's room...

 

Sei responded to the moogle with irregular swiftness, first kicking the silly toy away and then running after the creature and picking it up by the pom-pom's antenna. Dangling and bobbing the creature like one would do to a defective yo-yo, he grumbled, "I don't like being called names fer no reason." Pulling out his knife and tapping it lightly on the moogle's head, he added, "Especially by random rat who thinks that it's okay to just waltz into my friend's home without his permission. Now, OUT!"

In one of his enormously rare moments of rage, he swung the mog around before throwing him right out the door, then slammed and locked, bolted, and duck-taped the portal from further entry. Scratch that last one, just locked and bolted.

 

"KUPO KUPO KUPO!! NO ONE DISRESPECTS THE GREAT GINO OF ALL MAGIC!!" Gino stood up and started to summon several balls of ice and shot it straight at the door; The door was smashed and it fell on the floor and let the rain start pouring into the house. Gino then ran straight at Sei and threw a pearl spell at him; He used the spell to stall everyone. "DID YOUR PARENTS EVER TAUGHT YOU SOME MANNERS KUPO?! I am the Great Gino!"

He then ran up the stairs, made a left and ran straight into Miya's room. "OOOH! I smell munny kupo! Now where is it?!" He ran under the bed and sniffed but he didn't see it under there. He then started to fly up into the air with his wings and sniffed some more until he looked straight at Miya's cabinet. "MUNNY!" KUPO!!" He flew straight at the cabinet and made a big boom in the room; her clothes flew everywhere and Miya's room looked like someone threw a party in there. "FOUND IT! 510 MUNNY!! It is better than nothing!" Gino then took his stave and turned it into a skateboard and jumped out of the window as he made his escape. "WHOO HOO!! I am so richy rich kupo!"

 

Outside, Aquus appeared in front of Gino using his teleportation ability. Snatching the bag of munny out of his hand and meeting the moogle on the ground. Kneeling down, trying to keep his composure, he spoke calmly, "That isn't a very polite thing to do," he said reaching into his pocket, pulling out a little bag of munny, "Here, this is 600 munny, now will you please go away?"
