My idea is to create a thread on which the battle records of roleplayers (who would have to consent to it) would be recorded. Wins, Losses, and Stalemates would be compiled for each listed RPer, and a tournament amongst the top RPers (numbers dependent on community population) would be held annually.

Well, I think I've already got an idea that could bring attention to the Arena.

We could simply use the beginner or advanced RPing section as a means of facilitating events.

If that's the case, then why not just continue our 1v1.

In essence, the Arena can already be used in that manner. We can easily call a battle as being continuum to the events happening with our characters. The only stipulation with that is that if we just so happen to come across a situation in which we have no choice bu to kill off our own creations... well... by the generally accepted systems of most RPers, we wouldn't be able to use them until they could be revived by another character in some manner.

I'm afraid I don't quite understand what you're getting at.

I want to say that I've already allotted for that. The Non-Canonical status of arena battles is merely a defualt setting. It's already no problem for people to weave battles into larger stories within their characters' lifespans.

Well then, where abouts do we head from here? Continue our 1v1, make a new one, or start mobrushing some sorry a's into the Arena?

I haven't the foggiest. Unfortunately, it's not like Glyde can really offer up anything new for Malisa, save for a bit of company. I may or may not begin having him experiment in some workings similar to her spell circles/spheres. What I really need is a way of getting Glyde coaxed out of his "whoa is me I'm miserable now" shell.
