Well that sounds like a great plan. After all even if you major with music performance, get good enough you can take in students on the side.

That's another plan of mine if I don't become like a high school band director(or when I retire from that) I kind of want to be the next John Williams basically, compose music for movies, video games, music in general, whatever. Like I can already do basic composition in fact I'm getting ready to start on a piece to send off to hopefully get a scholarship.

You went to a music school?! LUCKY!!! I've only taken lessons at the local college that's the closest thing to music school...now.

And believe me once I learn violin, if I get past that level or not, I won't be quiting. I plan to major in music ed. in college so I'll kind of need to know it.

It's quite fun. You being a woodwind player already I'm sure you could easily pick it up, though the fingerings are different from clarinet.

But yeah, I can't live without music. I've been playing flute since I was in 5th/6th grade, singing since 3rd. I also play piccolo, guitar, piano, clarinet(not that great, clarinet and I just don't get along), sax, I just started percussion, and I have a violin I'm hoping to start learning. I wish I had an ocarina I don't though, I do have a fife and a recorder but no ocarina.
