They still may release it as re releasing the final mix versions would make a killing for both Square and Disney. It might come out as a collectors thing in future when the other games (BBS, Days, Coded) are released.
It's just that it's been so long since the final mix versions were released.

We seem to get things last when it comes to games, also sometimes we never even get it.
Like RE:COM for example. But I have played COM on the GBA just to get the story >.<
And for you (America is it?) you guys won't seem to be getting the Final Mixes from Japan unless you guys import it.
ANd then comes the region software thing. We have the same as Europe. PAL and you guys have NTSC or something like that and so does Japan. But now with the PS3, that doesn't matter anymore ^^
It can play all formats ^^
