I guess it's just a weird consciousness. Seeing how one normally grows up with concerned parents, you'd always prefer to have them satisfied (even when they don't care anymore) XD
And Congratulations on a house. Even though it'll take some time, but when you do get it, the not paying rent thing is really satisfying =]

Hahah, Leeching is the life. Fortunately I'll be doing that again soon. My parents want to move into the city in a house and want me and my older brother to live with them. Benefits, Cheaper rent and someone else doing the dishes =P
Only down side, I'm living with my parents again. I love the independence of being away from them XD

Ohh, well that kind of changes everything then. Well at least it's a full time job (I assume). Unlike me, I sometimes struggle to pay rent and always feel disappointed when I do go to pay it. More than half my weekly wage goes to rent now =\
