try getting involved in some activities around your community to meet people in your age group. I'm also very socially awkward/anti-social and I'm constantly surrounded by people my own age everyday. I have friends but my best friends don't go to my school so I often feel like I'm alone even in a group of people

yea that's how I feel whenever I come home for the summer from school, I can't stand it, I go out of my mind with boredom. Its times like those when I actually wish I had homework or a project to do. Thats why I try and take summer classes at my local community college when I'm home on break.

you haven't been in school for 2-3 years?! wow I can't imagine being out of school for that long

same here, I haven't touched a single Harry Potter book either lol and I'm doing pretty good, I got an 89% percent on my TV Production project, and I had a great audition today for a show, dunno if I'm gonna get a part or not but I had alot of fun and thats all that matters. Plus my Chinese class was cancelled today so I had the whole afternoon off to just relax and hang out. And I got my laptop back from the repair shop after going without it for 2 days, so glad to have it back! Pretty much an all around good day :)
