Okay, so you all know how according to Christianity and the Romans and Brit's it is the year 2008, almost 2009, right? And the Jews believe its actually like 5,3008, most Jews don't follow the B.C, A.D, thing we got going on. So, my question is to all reading, What time is according to the people before Christianities reign over time? I've heard the Hindu's believe in some crazy time spans, and the Chinese belief is somewhere near 8,000 years. No one say Evolutions, I know Science states its 4 billion years, but I want this to remain mainly within mythological/religious folk who've done some homework.

Silly topic, each belief has there own calendar. Christianity never reigned over time, they set up there own calender from the birth of 'jesus'. It has been adopted by the majority and to make things easier.

And time is just perspective. There is no start or end to time. And here's why: Let's say you can go to the beginning of time. What happened before that?

First off its not silly, I take that offensively. Second, Chritianity has only "ruled" for a good 2,000 yearz, what about the 3,000 or more before that?(according to Christianity and Judaism's 'time'). You see Christianity is "new" compared to other belief systems and time scales. I just wanted to know if anyone had a great educated guess as to what the time really is, according to some ancient Hindu or Chinese myth. And I don't want some Atheist saying:" Oh, well, the world is 4 billion years old and blah blah blah blah blah blah...." or:"God doesn't exist and we'll never understand time and time is everlasting and blah blahblahblahblahblahblahblahblahblah!" I'm not asking for that, I've heard it before. I'm asking those in belief of a religion to either support the current time scaling as to be correct, or prove it wrong using another religous belief.

the world was created once upon a time, and it'll die someday to. there is a start of the universe, it s whom ever made the universe that is eternal. You see, to some, Time is a god because its eternal. Numbers are gods to some, because the are eternal. So, what else is eternal? Mybe everything thats eternal is a god....because its immortal.

I'd put money on the fact that Pulse is an Atheist, or he mocks religion.

You see, I'd have to agree with you somewhat. I think he was the son of god, but not the "good" one...

The thing is, before Christianity ruled, everyone had there different for of time. Pagans, Jews, Hindu's, Buddhists. They all had there own God and had there own opinion on when he created the world.

And what do you mean when saying he wasn't the 'good' son of 'God'?

I know, I'm looking to see if anyone knows what the Chinese think the year is, and the Hindu's, and the Buddhists, and all that, I want to know what they think about all this. Maybe I'll start a new thread on the purpose of this thread....
You see, its all about Numerology. These numerologists freak me out, they can predic some crazy stuff, and show how astrology has prediced life due to time and numbers. What I want to know is, all these numerologists are a more pagan type of belief, were as they go against Christianity, or don't agree with it neccesarily. But they use the time system used BY Christianity, saying its 2008 RIGHT NOW. When really, if its ont really 2008, then there source isn't credible, because they're basing their beliefs on something that is false, even though they can prove some crazy stuff. My point is, maybe somebody else has it right, or closer to the right time. Like maybe the Hindu's, or ancient Zoroastrianism, or something else. Also, the whole "end of the world being 2012" thing is one of their beliefs. But heres something nobodies thought of. The Mayan calendar doesn't follow the CHRISTIAN CALENDAR!! Their 2012 could be our 508,000. So, its not a credible source. So, whats the truth?

Call me a pessimist again if you'd like, but I believe Jesus=Lucifer, but maybe Lucifer doesn't = Satan.

What I meant is that all of existance has been around forever and will be around forever. There is no beginning or end, it's just there.

Time is just a way to give sense in the order of events. The reason the Christain calendar says it's 2008 is becuase when it was either the year 0 or the year 1 (I'm not sure if they say that there was a 0 year...) is because that's when Jesus was born. There is still B.C. (Before Christ), although now people use B.C.E. (Before Common Era). The Mayans could've been around for a million years. That's why their calendar is so different than ours.

Exactly, so everyone that says the end of the world is 2012 is wrong, because the Mayan calendar doesn't translate to ours exactly. Am I right, or aM i RIGHT?

No. First off, I don't think that the world is going to end then. And if it doesn't, I'm gonna go and laugh at everbody who did believe that. Second, the time the Mayan calander says when the world ends could be the same time that the Aztec calander says it will (Since people are saying that it ends in 2012 because the Aztec calander says that.). The year 5902378 in the Mayan calander could be our year 2012. I don't know how they translate it.

exactly my point. So we'll never know the "real time".

I'll go off this statement of mine:
Time is just a concept. Technically, there is no such thing as time.

Yeah there is. Time exists, its probably the only real god.
