L was listening to Karia and Ricks convorsation.

"Karia, we must despoise of Rick.. He is of NO use to us..." L mumbled into Karia's GPS.

 

"I will," Tom said, not taking his eyes off the computer screen, "But first I have to win. There has to be a reason this is here."

 

"Well this might take a while," Tom told him as he was checkmated again.

 

L was getting bored of winning.

Beat me this round, or you DIE

he typed up on the screen, he was going to let Tom win.

 

Kyuu sat next to Jesse and she also watched Tom's playing.

"I really hope it would make some kind of benefict if you'll win." she sighed and smiled a little.

Then she noticed the text on the screen and flinched. "What? If that's true you gotta stop playing!" she said and sounded worried. She didn't want take any risks, if the text was true.

 

Rick fell to the ground, hitting his head hard. He spat blood out of his mouth and clutched his head.

"What!? Why don't you kill me then you gutless BASTARD!" Rick sniggered. "Whats wrong don't you have the stones? Oh wait I forgot you're a freaking WOMAN you don't have any at all do you?! Come on then! Dare face me in a fair fight!?" Rick stood up, and stared Karia down. He glared into his eyes with a hatred so deep he wasn't sure he should have it.

 

Finally, after a long time of playing, Tom finally checkmated the computer, "Woo hoo! I win!" Then, a window popped up on the screen. "Execute program 7880? Y/N" was what the window said, "Hmm..." Tom looked at Aurora, "Should we?" She told him yes, so Tom clicked Y. Then the entire world shook for a little bit. "Program 7880 activated. World is now in defensive mode." Tom thought for a moment, "What is defensive mode?" Aurora then told him, "Defensive mode is when the world attacks anything it considers a threat to it. These defensives include restoring the deleted parts of this world, creating gigantic monsters that are nearly impossible to beat, and other things. The defensive mode is a double-edged blade for us."

The entire HQ building shook. Zelgius just smiled, "So the defensive program is active now? Sadly, the plan will soon be stopped by the world itself, and Yamet and Karia will be killed by the world."

 

"Quite possibly," Tom said. Just then, shadows appeared over them. Something was blocking the light at the entrance of the cave. Tom turned around to see people made of gold standing there, "It has started, they are here to eliminate you," Aurora told Tom. Tom looked at everybody, "Alright, these appear to be the first enemies this world has sent against us," Tom unsheathed his sword, "Be careful, they are much stronger than they look." Tom started walking towards them to fight.

 

Zelgius walked into the room where Karia's deletion program was centered. He was looking at the program. He could see that the defenses were already re-writing the code to change the program into something else, "It will take the world time, but it will destroy this program." He then walked back into his room. He touched his hand on part of the wall, and then it lit up, there was a hand scanner there that couldn't be seen. Part of the wall opened up into a dark hallway. Zelgius walked through it. As the wall closed behind him, the room inside lit up. In it there was a box. Zelgius opened the box, and there was what looked to be a floppy drive labled 'Aurora,' "Soon goddess, they will come here to retrieve this for you. Without it, you cannot be complete."

Zelgius walked back into his room, and started reading those files again, "Hmm... Torri... I wonder if her friends will be able to get her back to normal without the goddess."

Tom ran up to the first gold enemy and attacked him. This enemy was much harder to beat than Tom thought. "Hmm... This is good training to beat Zelgius," Tom muttered to himself as he finally killed the enemy. Three more advanced on Tom, "Let's go then."
