Kyuu was terrified. What did that girl do to Rick?

"No, Rick!" she shouted. "C'mon, we're your friends, that girl is our enemy. And she is your enemy, too!" she sounded quite hopeless.

She was pretty sure that doesn't help. Only option was to kill that girl.

Kyuu started to ran to the girl, and cut her with her scythe.

 

Rick turned like lightning and fired an arrow into Kyuu's shoulder. He felt her pain, and relished it. He ran over and hit Kyuu across the face with each word.

"Leave.....her.....alone.....you......treacherous.....little.....bitch!"

 

Torii woke up, Blinding rage filled her head.

standing up she was surrounded in pink-black arua.

Once again her clothes and face had changed, She was a young tanned skined girl, with a black dress and long black hair, Her katana was gone its power infused within her

She Lifted Rick up with a shadow-grip,

"YOU FILTY LITTLE TOY! I THOUGH I BROKE YOU. THEN YOU HURT ME!!"

"DIE" She screamed launching him into a tree

 

Kyuu glanced Torii throwing Rick and prayed in her mind that she won't kill him. Then she rushed to the girl again and hit her with the scythe, this time more strongly. She hoped that Rick wouldn't feel that beat.

"Die!" she yelled. "Don't think that you're gonna control Rick like that!"

Hope still lived in her mind. Even if she had almost gave up, she has still friends there, they would save Rick no matter what... and the last and the most important thing to Kyuu: she remembered Rick's resurgence and what he has said; there was still a little hope that Jesse would come back. She just couldn't give up so long as there was hope remaining. At least a little.

 

Kyuu was amazed.

"Jesse!" she shouted and smiled. "You're alive!"

She couldn't notice Jesse's expression, so happy she was. This was getting better. Jesse's alive, they still could save Rick with his help...

 

Kyuu closed her eyes in Jesse's hold.

"Jesse..." she whispered. "I love you."

She was so happy she couldn't say much.

 

Rick had been told Torii was there to help him! But she had hit him. But they must have turned her against him! He looked up. Wait what was that?? Jesse?! He was alive. How dare he! He should be dead! Well it was just one more traitor to kill then.

He stood up. He walked over to Torii.

"Please, let us not fight, let us kill those who betrayed us both!" He felt a stab of pain. He whipped around "Mistress!" he screeched.

He bounded over like an over-eager puppy, and having no weapons to hand, grabbed hold of the arrow that was still in Kyuu's shoulder and forced it deeper. He gave a sadistic laugh, and picked up his bow. He went to pick up his spear. It was bright white. It was emitting light in fact! He reached out to touch it, curious. It moved away. He couldn't get his spear! This must be those traitors fault!

He roared. He trained an arrow on Hope's heart. NO! He couldn't release it! It would kill her... But he felt himself drawing it back. "NO!" he turned at the last moment. The arrow missed Hope, instead in pierced the foot of the twisted little girl who made him do this.

"ARGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" He screamed. A horrible screech filled his head. The voice was no longer melodical, it was horrible, dark. He ran over to his spear, picked it up with no trouble, and rammed it through her chest.

 

Kyuu pulled the arrow off her shoulder and groaned because of pain. Now there was a deep, bleeding wound. Then she turned to Rick.

"Rick! What now?" she said. "That's strange. First you forced this arrow deeper in my shoulder, like you wanna kill me or something like that. And then you crammed your spear through that girl's chest. The girl who did you call mistress." she didn't understand. "What does that mean?"

 

Rick shook, he was scared. He traced a finger down the ugly scar on his face.

"I'm...I'm..." He looked up at Kyuu. He looked at Jesse, Hope, Torii, and glanced Tom, forgotten, hiding in the bushes. "I'm not safe."

He turned to the leader who smiled at him. "Answer my question. Who are you?!" Rick said angrily.

"Karia" the leader replied simply.

Rick had found out the name. But he didn't have a spur of memory or inspiration. He had nearly killed his friends. He had shot Kyuu with an arrow. He had wanted Jesse to stay dead. He turned to his friends.

"I'm not safe." He said again. With that he limped away from them, towards the still observant group.

Blood stained his hands. His spear tip was broken where it had made contact with the girls ribs. He was down to his last 4 arrows. Rick let a solitary tear run down his cheek. He looked straight into the eyes of Karia. "I killed your little servant" He stated in a cold manner. "She was evil. I felt wary of her but I don't feel so of you. Any of you. So why did she serve you when she had such power?" It was a rhetorical question, he didn't want the answer.

"I'm not safe" he said yet again.
He tore off both his sleeves, and wrapped them around his hands. "Everyone. Run, please get out of here." His head throbbed. "Please run. I'm not safe." he seemed to be obssessed with this phrase. "If you survive I'll know I did something. Even if they take me I don't give a shit." Swearing wasn't like Rick. He didn't often do it.
