Departure

I'll keep this short and sweet so as to not draw too much attention to myself.

Recently it came up that I would be leaving soon for my annual 'disappearance.' Haha. Well, I'm starting school up in less than a week, so I figure now is as good a time as any to say any goodbyes.

I'm going to have to sort certain things out (before school), such as student loans, textbooks and tuition...this way I have plenty of time to do so. I should also do some finishing touch 'fix-er-up' work on my house for the summer. I'm thinking of doing some kind of outdoor work perhaps.

Typically I stop posting in September, and begin again come May or so...but I realize this year may be different as I'm graduating. I may then move away and pursue a doctorate. So I can't guarantee I'll be back...

I'd like to say 'I'll at least drop by to say what's going on with me next year'...but frankly, this board will be overrun with new people we haven't the pleasure of knowing yet. So no one's going to remember me or care. (It's a harsh fact, but I've dealt with it almost every year that I've disappeared like this) So unless I have time to post and rebuild my social networks on here, I probably won't post an update next summer.

I should (barring the unforseen) remain posting over the course of the next week or two...just less. I don't mean this as a clean-cut goodbye (ie. "I'm leaving and can't post for a while"), and moreso just thought it's a good time to give some warning.

So as I said once before on here, I'll keep posting in the background and slip away...Then without anyone realizing, I'll be gone.

 

Unfortunately, the last 3 years I've always tried to stay, and then eventually become overwhelmed with the workload and forced to stop posting. This year I figured I'll jump the gun and say goodbye in advance.

No matter what I try, time management, lack of sleep (haha), I'm always struggling with the workload. It's tough to have two university level interests that are polar-opposites. Eats up a lot of time, as instead of having 5 or 6 tough courses and 4 electives, you instead have 10 tough courses.

 

Chocobo_Dyl: Chances are I'll have to come around once in a while...I mean I've been trailing these forums for almost 5 years now (they keep changing names! Haha), and I always become attached.

But I'm getting on in years...I mean in a couple years time I hope to move out, get married etc. That's old! Haha

Just posting to say I am officially starting school tomorrow. So it's more than likely going to be tough to get on after tonight.

I'll see you all around though...I suppose I could try to get on on weekends or something, but I can't make guarantees. I have a lot of things I have to do this year, including writing 2 difficult standardized exams: The Math GRE, and the MCAT. I'm also hoping to write the Putnam Math Exam for gifted students. I'm told I've got a good shot at placing in the top 25 writers (no one who attends my university has ever done that. (My university is more of a medical/biology university, and isn't as strong in math).

Well anyway, I'll be seeing you, it's been fun.
