Desert Stars (Rated M for safety) [RP Limited]

"Oh right," Hawk said "Going alone again? I think you should. Its too dangerous with too many people. Easier for them to....sense us i suppose."

Hawk sat back and watched Alex. He wanted to go with her, to protect her. He could sense the Intruders, though he had never said. Maybe the mark did have its benefits. He could just imagine her being caught, maybe being played with, taunting her with a rusty knife... He tore his mind away then. Not wanting to imagine anymore. But they were the last survivors for all they knew. Better to lose one than two anyday.

"Oh by the way, have you seen the sand over that ridge?" He pointed. "Its all flat. Looks neat." He rubbed his neck "Ummmm not sure why i said that actually. But it does look cool!" He defended.

 

The Black Market has everything. Maxwell browsed each collection as he set his eyes on a diamond crystal. It was the size of a grapefruit. Picking it up, he began to analyze it.

"So you are interested in the diamond, eh? Well today is a special day, 20% of, which brings your total to 56.2 Million dollars." the vendor hissed. The vendor was also a Intruder, a merchant intruder, who tactics is to rip people off. It was true that Maxwell can go dig for this crystal himself in the desert, but he was lazy.

"How about I give you something more special than money. Some thing that make your eyes pop with delight and pleasure. I know you like that. After all I am a Museum Director." Maxwell said.

Jumping up and down, the vendor agreed. He didn't know what hit him. Maxwell connect his punch with his elbow, sending the vendor flying to the stock pile of jewels. Placing the diamond in his sash, Maxwell began to dart out the market.

Seeing their buddy hurt, the other vendors quickly close up shot, and began to start their bikes. A deadly game of cat and mouse began to take place in the hot desert.

"Help!" Maxwell began to scream at the top of his lungs.

 

jesse walked around the base waiting for alex's return, "i wish she would have taken me with her..."

 

*Just after Alex left*

Right you know the drill people. If shes not back in 10 hours we go have a lookie.

*Present (lets say 4 hours for the sake of it)*

Hawk could hear a sound. It was a very very quiet sound. Even his ears could barely hear it. It was like a whisper on the breeze. Except Hawk knew that whoever made it was shouting for everything they could. But it was so quiet surely nobody could shout that loudly. But it was definately human vocal cords. Wait what? It was.... a cry for help! But the intruders wouldnt require help surely? So it must be...human! And by the sounds of it, it was getting closer. Still a good few miles away. But it was so loud that he could still hear the whisper. Hawk stood up suddenly.

"Everyone get your stuff! NOW! There is someone looking for help out there!" Before the rest of them had even taken in what he had said he was out of the makeshift door and sprinting up the dune he had been up earlier. He was at the top far faster than this morning. The sound of another possibly human being ahd stimulated his legs into a blur. He looked at the vast flat sand in front of him. A dust cloud was moving along. And he could hear what sounded like motorbikes. Now he knew that someone was being chased!

"

 

Hawk was still watching. He could see the cloud slow, and then stop. But they cry for help had not been cut off. It had faded. So they couldnt have caught their prey. So what had made them stop....

"ALEX!" Hawk roared. He turned to the small hovel they had been living in for so long now. "Alex is there Im sure of it! The time," He glanced at the watch he had forgotten to give to Jesse the night before. "Its just right! The place is across the path to here!" He also had one more piece of evidence that he didnt tell the others. It wouldnt do to worry them. He had heard the cry of "Human female!" Go up. He shuddered.

"Come on you two! COME ON!" He rushed toward the ever fading cloud. It would take a while to reach them but it was a flat surface. He could see them all the way and he'd be able to see where they went.

 

"Oh my god, Intruders!" Maxwell screamed. Then that is when he saw them. Humans. "Okay Maxwell, time to act." He thought. Running as fast as he could. He saw one of the intruders on the bike aiming towards the girl.

"Now is my chance." He said.

"YO! Girl! Move!" Maxwell screamed. She was brave. Using rocks to attack the intruders. Seeing that the bike was more faster than any rock, he dove at her. It was true that she did knock him off, but the bike was still active and it was going towards her. Tackling her down the the sand dome, the bike flew above their heads, crashing into a nearby cactus.

The others seeing that one of their friends where down, they did the bravest thing. They ran.

"Hey girl, you okay?"

 

jesse ran out of the base, "what the hell...intruders?"

 

Hawk had run as fast as he could. He didnt know if the person was actually human but if Alex was down there he had no choice. He had left his axe back at base but his spear was hanging loosely by his hip. He grabbed at it, fumbled, then secured it in his hand. He had seen the dust cloud turn and the cries ahead ceased. If this was for the better or worse he didnt know.

He was close now. He could see somebody wrestling with Alex. He ran fowards. "Leave her alone." He stopped several metres from the person. Pulling his spear up he pointed it at the person. "Wait your the..." He fell to his knees. Another human. This was the person who had been calling for help earlier he knew it. He reached out his hand. He glanced at Alex. She was glaring at him. Why? But he still held his hand firm in front of the person, to help him get up.

 

Hawk drew his hand back slightly. She was scowling at him. Why was she so annoyed. It looked like this person had either saved her or she had saved him.
"Alex? What? Look sorry if I ruined your alone time or somehting but we need to get back. And fast."

OOC: Sorry if you perceived the glaring as a bit of autoing. I thought it might be exactly what she'd do so I put it and didnt really think. Oh btw change your avvie. Its dangerous. I whacked my head on the desk when i read it XD. ROFlometer says - 10!

 

Maxwell dust sand off from his pants. "This is what I get for helping you out. Sheesh." He said. Fixing his scarf, he tightly tied it so, the diamond won't show or fall out. "Well, not all intruders are evil, you know."

"I guess the military didn't get to you, huh?" Maxwell said. He began to take a closer look on the girl. "So that is what humans look like up close, huh?"

"Well, don't let me bother you." Maxwell smiled.

 

A shiver went through Hawk at the cool touch of Alexs hand. It felt so natural resting there....
He shook his head. So this WAS an intruder. But then again he had saved Alex from that other lot.
"Alex come on he can't be that bad. He did save you. And he doesnt look like the others. They would have hurt us by now." He stopped then said simply "Well I can find out if he would kill us the second he got the chance." Hawk lunged and just nicked this things shoulder with his spear tip. He then threw his spear toward him wooden end first and and spred his arms to bare his chest, to see if the intruder would take the chance to rid Earth of another human.

At the same time he pressed a small dagger he had hidden up his sleeve in case of emergencies, into Alexs hand. If the intruder struck, hopefully she would to.

"Hey, watch where you throw that thing." Maxwell sighed. "Well you don't have to worry about me. I am not here to harm, more to observe. See I am truthful. If I was a meanie, I would've alert the Intruder Society, and I didn't!"

 

"See Alex?" Hawk said. "All clear." He held his hand out to the intruder. "Hawk. And you are? (Writers block >_<)
