Uh..I really love writing, so I think I'm going to write a short story. I hope you all read it and like it. :]

I'm in a really romantic mood right now, haha.

Sorry if it goes a little too far with the lovey-dovey crap. Lol.

    ------------------------------------------

I know I know I know, this has been said before. So many times before, I know I know I know. So let me say this one more time. Come back. I miss you. I love you. I need you. But...how do I know you? You look so familiar.

This story is about a boy not yet a man. He is at a young age and hasn't had a real experience of love, still he yearns for its company; to feel the warm touch of another; to smell the fragrance of one's body unlike his own. He wanted to know the taste of one such girl he has never met in his entire life.

He sleeps just as everyone else, yet his dreams are always filled with her. This girl. He does not know her name for she doesn't tell him. He falls asleep and has a regular dream of a regular environment doing anything ordinary that he would do any day. Everything is so regular. He could simply be taking out the garbage for instance. She would be walking through the crowd, but he would recognize her. He would see her and know her as if he could feel her presence. Her essence creating a sweet aroma in the flow of the crowd.

Imagine falling in love with the girl of your dreams, literally. How could you stand it? Would you fear the fact of never meeting her in your entire life? This boy, he was not afraid. He loved her and made it his goal to find her and make her his. For this he loved her. A forbidden love. A deep and eager emotion stirring in his body. It told him: "Without her you will not love. She is your love. Love her and protect her." And so each night he would see her he would sketch her down on paper. In his dreams he would do this. Every night making a sketch.

After he awoke the paper would be resting on his nightstand. Every morning a different pose she would be making. He would smile and post the picture somewhere on his wall. Now, people would call this obsessive, yet he didn't care. To him, this girl, she was his love. And he would protect her and give her everything.

One day, the boy woke up, sat up in his bed, and looked at the nightstand. There was an envelope. A manila envelope with his name on it. It read:

    "To whom it may concern:

In this letter there is a key. I cannot explain much of what this key does but you will understand once you use it. I know I'm leaving it in the right hands. Hold tight to it. Do not lose it. You will come to acknowledge the key as a mark of our love.

    Sincerely,
    The loved."

    ------------------------------------------------

The boy was quite confused. Still he stood and walked to his door. It was closed. He never shut his door before he went to sleep. As he neared it he noticed a lock beneath the doorknob. And never before had there been a lock on his door.

For some odd reason he took the key and unlocked the door. And for a moment a flash of light filled the room. The boy stood blind as he reached out to stable himself. He clenched tightly to whatever it was he grabbed and hugged it tightly. Its warmth was surreal. It was human. It was a she.

The boy opened his eyes to be stared at by the girl from his dreams. Her pale lips mouthing the words 'hello'.

He was astonished. Her beauty was like none other. Her warmth soothed his emptiness. For a long time he had been lonely; a small hole in his heart that could never have been filled without her. And now here she stood, holding him as much as he held her. And he held her oh so tightly.

Never would he let her go. And the smile on his face showed that.

She complimented his smile with her own and drew his face to hers. Her pale lips lightly grazing his own crimson ones. The air tightly pinched together making a small pop as their lips separated. The boy could only smile after tasting her. He had waited for so long for this moment. He never wanted it to end.

The boy went in for another kiss and she laughed. She kissed him again and pulled him closer, pressing her body against his.

"Together, you and I are now. And the world before is gone. What you have entered was the world of dreams. You can leave as you wish, yet you may also return to see me as you see fit.
"But remember, if you forget about me I will vanish as fast as the wind blows through the leaves of a Beech tree." She was still smiling and gliding her pale hands through his hair.

Many years passed and the boy used the key until the key was rusted of age. Until one day he never used it again.

Grown old the boy found love in reality. He still had the key locked up in the attic, yet for so many years after he forgot about it.

One day the old man's nephew entered the confinements of the attic. And what he found was an old manila envelope with the old man's name on it. He opened it up and found the key and letter. He read it and took it to his grandpa who lay on his death bed.

The old man, who was once a young boy, lay still and shriveled. He coughed, and was hardly able to take the envelope from his nephew. He thanked his nephew kindly and the young boy exited the room.

The old man removed the key and held it within his wrinkled palm. Tears formed in his dulled eyes as he caressed it.

The next day they could not find the old man. He had vanished without a trace, never to be seen again, only by the girl of his dreams. All that was left was a key and a note that at the top said: "To Whom It May Concern:".

It's not the fact that you have to find her. You will find her. As a matter of fact if you stop trying to look she might be there already.

As time progresses you find out that there are a lot of girls that will come and go. But there will always be one there for you. Just wait for her. And when you have her, do everything to keep her.

    Yep!

Don't let what other people say bring you down. Sometimes words can hurt, but you can't let them. If it does, tell them. If they respect you they will not say them anymore.

He is your grandfather, what he says most likely means he cares about you. Maybe a girlfriend is right around the corner. But don't be led astray on love.

Love is a very strong thing. You may like a person enough to think it's love, but don't let it consume you. Realize love as love is.

What love really means is that you would lay your life down for that person.
