Steal my story and you shall be destroyed!! Lol. :]

Okay, I'm new at posting but I had the urge to create something kind of different than most things...eh here it goes.

Oh and tell me how you like it.

-I own the games, but I do not own the trademark to Kingdom Hearts-

-This is just a small fanfic of a sort. And don't get me wrong, I haven't played this in awhile. That and I like to put things my way. :p-

Imagine this kid, let's say age fourteen, enjoying a summer night laying on his bed in whatever it was he was wearing at the time; something comfortable like a white t-shirt and a pair of navy blue shorts.

It was a good night; a simple night of over-easy relaxation. Something to sedate the work before hand. With each flash of lightning and roll of thunder the raft nudged into his mind. The creation of two nights before. And he sits up. He flies off his bed barely slips into his shoes. Down the stairs he trips on his untied shoelaces and spins off the end of the wooden rail. So far so good. No time to lose. No time to stop. Pace is good. Breathing is good.

And finally he reaches it. The island that is. Stormy clouds mustering everything in their ability to destroy and conquer everything in their paths. Now should be the best time to save that raft. Other than that he noticed two small boats, alongside his, floating. Energy still rising from within them. They were just used. He doesn't know how he can tell, but he can.

    Two friends await here.

And now he has three things to save. Three things he must protect in order to survive. Or so on and so forth with the corny revisions. These were the three things most important to him at the time. The only things. And he must protect them.

Now that we have this all figured out the sky grew darker every minute he stood there. Every second that passed something was going on and he felt it. The hair on the back of his neck curled. The taste on his tongue was bitter. The smell of the air was sulfuric.

Sora, his name, it meant sky. And in so he felt what the sky felt, figuratively. And the feelings he felt now were not good.

And so I would like to take a moment to explain this to you. What I am about to tell you could or could not happen. It is up for you to decide.

This oncoming situation turns to the world and with that lays out its plan. And its plan, in hopes to survive and in desperation to give it its all, will let rise a key. But a key cannot do and will not do a single thing without a wielder. A wielder...

    ------------------------------

"You and I, Sora. This race is going to decide it all." He says it as loud and boisterous as possible. Typical from this kid. His silver hair, yeah silver, waving in the sun. You could sometimes mistaken it to being white.

So this kid is named Riku, he was actually waging with Sora over naming the raft. Just today they finished creating it, and it was something these two and another were talking about, planning about, and finally finishing. They wanted off the island. They wanted more than just a simple life.

Life, it's something given at birth and practically everyone doesn't like it. Not everyone I should say, but for our sake we will. Everyone hates it.

On another note, this girl, Kairi was her name. From moving out of a large house, castle, whatever you want to call it, she's living on this island. I can't say it's a dump because it's a gorgeous island. But they want more. They want worlds. Different ones. Worlds with luscious grass and trees; with buildings so high it burns to look up at them because it's as if they touch the sun. Those kinds of worlds. They wanted them and were dying to reach them. And so it was to reach them via raft. Or so they thought.

Of course Sora lost the race. He always did. This gave him more intent to outgrow Riku. To outgrow and overcome. This was his general plan. His main idea. His life goal, sort of...

(That's all I have for now. I'm going to write more, but I guess I'm open to criticism. :] )

I hope more people read and replyyyyy!!! It's what keeps me going lol.

Btw, I have a few curse words in here, so I don't know if that's bad. They're not ultimately vulgar though.

Anyway here's more. And while I write this I know I'm skipping around, but eh...you've all played KH. :D

This guy, some strange man dressed in all black, he says, "This world has been connected." And by connected Sora has absolutely no idea. He lingers on the other side of the cave just staring at the darkness. Gaping and hardly breathing.

In this situation you say anything. Nothing really comes to mind because you're listening to the heartbeat in your ears. It's not fear, no, it's curiosity. Who is this man wearing a hooded trench-coat? Hell if he knows. And the world being connected? God help him.

Luckily for Sora, Kairi interrupts the duo's conversation.

She says, "Sora, what are you doing here?"

And he doesn't answer. He simply turns to her.

"What are you doing all alone in here, answer me," she says.

And he turns back to the spot the man in the coat once stood.

He's gone, he says. And Kairi stood confused.

"We have to get ready for tomorrow, Sora." And she's off through the end of the tunnel, back out into the light. Back into reality.

Sora finally follows after rubbing his face with the palms of his hands.

    -----------------------------------

And now he understood. Somehow he could tell that his world was connected to others. By how, he didn't know, but these creatures; black with yellow eyes. These strange moving creatures that dripped darkness. They were dripping black ooze that hissed as it touched the ground. They came out of the ground and surrounded Sora. Each creature ready to engulf him; his heart.

When all hope is gone and there's nothing to turn to, you give up. You let fate take control. It overlaps all means of escape. As time passes you cannot go back you must press on. And so if death is here you are in no mistake having to be ready to embrace it. To embrace death.

"Riku." And Sora steps onto the pier to face his friend.

"Sora," he says, "Sora, come with me." And what people don't tell you is to never trust anyone, even your best friends. What is trust anyway?

Riku thrusts his hand outward as a dark energy begins to eat away at his legs. It climbs his body and snaps at Sora. It snarls and cries.

"You don't have to worry. She's with me. Kairi is safe on the other side.
"The darkness isn't to be feared," he says.

The darkness, Sora says. And he disappears into the mist of chaos. The Darkness.

"Open your eyes, child." To hear this you would ask if it was even a voice telling you it, or merely instinct. Something to wake you up to ready you for something to happen.

Within seconds Sora's eyes are sending messages to the cave's ceiling. He stands and shakes his hands. They felt heavy and bloodless, like he slept for eternity upon the cold dirty ground.

As he lifted his head Kairi was caressing a wooden door, rimmed with gold. The door was implanted within the cold rocks of the cave. It fit perfectly. It looked perfect. It even emitted a gold light.

Kairi, he says. He keeps calling her name.

"Sora...," she says. Her body falls limp as an unnatural wind picks up. A gust so strong it begins to blow Kairi into Sora. And with open arms he is ready to embrace her.

For a second he had her. Within his grasp she was there. She felt warm. She was soft. But for only a second, then she was gone. She passed straight through him and vanished; completely gone into thin air.

From the depths of the cave a voice says, "Fear not the darkness." It says, "For within you there lies the strongest weapon in the world...."

"The power that sleeps within you...." And it appears, this blade shaped like a key. Strange, I know, but it's there in his hand. With blinding lights it appears and he could feel its connection. Everything around him connected. This world has been connected.

Whatever says, "The Keyblade." It says, "You needn't be afraid, yet from where there is more light the bigger your shadow becomes."

Behind him his shadow lingers. The light from the Keyblade gets stronger and his shadow grows. It eats the light and thrives, developing into something. And that something reaches a big black something hand out of the ground. Then another hand emerges. A head. A torso.

Whatever it is, it is huge. Whatever it is you've never heard about it in school. And there it is standing feet above you, with it's massive yellow eyes glooming into your chest. Heart-hungry is what you call it.

Don't panic, Sora told himself. The first thing to remember is to not panic. To stay calm and subtle is the key.

Through the torso, this big black thing's stomach, was a heart-shaped hole. Within the heart-shaped hole things were crawling. Eating. Something like this; a heartless.

If you're wondering what a heartless was, so was Sora. It was hard enough to keep a head above shoulders even at the sight of this thing. Including when it tried to smash Sora with its foot. Every smash the creatures from before pulled out of the ground and from its foot. Each creature leaving trails of black and hissing crap.

Again it said, "You needn't be afraid."

Sora stood his ground. He had a little practice with fencing around Riku. These little things wouldn't be that much. Or so he thought.

Inexperienced Sora, wildly swinging around this Keyblade and bashing little creatures in the head. But for some reason they would turn to dust and black smoke after every hit. After one died two or three would rise out of the ground to take its place.

Sora cleared a path to the towering blackness. For once he remembered instructions. Instructions explaining how the head is usually one of the weaker points on something so massive. And up the arm he went. Each foot in front of the other. Each food crawling up the muscles. The brachioradialis. Curving the lateral epicondyle. Treading the brachialis and biceps. Finally reaching past the deltoid and trapezius muscles to the head.

With one clean sweep, Sora sliced the edge of the Keyblade into the creature's face gouging out one of its eyes. Every swing he made deformed the creature's face until it fell to the ground crying and bleeding its rich blood of darkness; black ooze that trickled and enveloped the ground. Either the blood or the big black hole unnoticed in the background had cracked the now floating island and sucked both Sora and the creature inside.

Darkness. It surrounded everything until Sora seemingly opened his eyes to a strange animal licking his face. It raised an ear and ran off before he could even recognize if it were human or not.

Resting in an abandoned alley isn't too safe. Besides that fact having wild animals or even people coming up to you and licking your face is enough to be disturbed.

Sora stood. His body ached. His head pounded. The world was spinning faster than usual. Realization hit him like a brick to the face. This wasn't his world anymore. The streets were lined with brick. The houses. Brick. A lot of things were brick, and a strange tinted brick. Ugly brick if you may. Brick. Brick. Brick.

He stepped out into the open. The street was lined with shops and houses and people. Everybody was staring into the sky.

A voice in the crowd says, "Look! Another one is vanishing." They say, "Just like my world. Completely gone. Vanished. It's horrible."

Sora stared at the star fading. It was his world. He knew it and his chest swelled with anger. Hate. Fear. Everything after that was slow motion.

"Hey kid," a female voice says.

Sora turned to notice a blond woman. The burning entrails of her cigarette skipped into the wind. Her hair was partially covering her face and licked the edges of her neck. From what he seen she was quite attractive.

As he stepped closer the air around her seemed to change color like it was molding. Black spots of mold eating the air away. And out of the mold a creature with a silver helmet popped out and reached into the woman's chest. A large claw pulled out a plastic looking heart. The blond woman screamed and writhed. Her breath was getting softer. She was vanishing. Her body was twinkling out like the star did.

The creature turned to Sora next.
