Oswald sneaked away from them while they were talking. He went directly to communications headquarters. Oswald called a general, " There has been infiltration at the highest level. Sabotage by a fool named Rikxas. R-i-k-x-a-s, sir. Please send ten units of soldiers. We can hold this position for about five minutes. No sir, we are not incompetant. Yes sir, I will sound the alarms. I await the troops and further orders." Oswald hang up the phone and gave a sigh of relief.

Oswald sounded the camp alarms. He ordered most of the soldiers in the building to stand inside to guard it. He ordered two to stay in the room with him in case they failed. Oswald locked the door and all the windows. He was determinded to keep communication lines up at all times. Even if he had to tap Morse code.

 

rikxas's mission done he could make his report on mission.

 

Rikxas heard ripping and tearing, he went to investigate.

 

Oswald shrugged. If Polaris was a good commander, he would know how important communication lines were.

Oswald debated whether or not to give an inspiring statement. On one hand, he could reveal his position. On the other hand, it could motivate the troops to fight on. The reinforcements would here any moment.

Oswald tapped into the camp intercom, "Our orders are clear! Stand your ground! Reinforcements are arriving. I repeat reinforcements are arriving! Do not lose heart. I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't fight in a trench to die by the hands of some punks!"

 

"Polaris...it's one of the main rules of warfare. Superior numbers do not guarantee victory, but fresh troops are guaranteed to give an edge. Tell me, did you fight a war before? Did you even read a book about a war?" Oswald said smiling.

 

Oswald was getting sick of this game. Polaris was putting all his money in one stock, essentially. Oswald decided it was time to get tough. He had to think about the lives of thousands of people.

Oswald replied, "I believe you misjudge this army. Do you actually think some general that's been in more battles than you've been alive is going to care if one person dies? Do you actually think that maybe, all this pressure, and with thousands of lives at stake that they would let one person dictate their stradegy? All I have to do is send one message."
Oswald closed his eyes and thought, "Even if the message didn't go out I could still order drastic things. You ever see one of those movies where the lieutenant snaps and orders drastic things? Besides, I would be in the right as you have sabotaged this camp. So I would get no prison time and considered a hero."

 

rikxas ran only to see Gerik/Polaris fighting for control.

 

Just then the troops arrived. Oswald said, "He headed out of the camp." The troops then set up a security perimeter around the camp. Oswald announced, "The distubance is over. You may be at ease. Security will be tightened." Oswald paused to see a fax come in. He read it aloud to the troops, "Since Rikxas is a traitor, and the penalty of treason is to be shot, everyone is free to shot Rikxas if he is found."

I tapped my head. "Well...lets think for a momment shall we? You let a heartless ...or something take over your body." I said now crossing my arms. "That guy was using you...I don't even know why."

 

I sat back down and rested my head on a fist.
"Your joking right? Look around...He took over you and made you distory all of this camp.." I looked around some more then said,"No..there's still some there..."
God I hate this kid...I thought.

 

I shrugged. " Run away as far as you can..I think they can still find you." I looked down at the ground." I don't really care if you run away....I can loose another master.." I mumbled the last part to myself.
It had been almost four years from Nathaniel's death. I put a hand threw my hair....the though of going down with him made me wonder if this was going to happen with Gerik.
