Nintendo @ E3 2008 : Official Discussion Thread!

I'm looking forward to this alot.

 

After Brawl, Mario Kart, and Galaxy. They don't really seem to have a strong line-up for awhile now. Just more crappy spin-offs i guess

they could bring Kid Icarus, a new Zelda game or an entirely new concept.

So when is it?

 

I kinda agree with you there. Wii just announce all these great titles at once, and then when E3 hits, what do they have. They should've release great titles little by little, to let their fans want more.

 

Well maybe Kid Icarus, but that has never been one of there strongest titles. Also the have 3 new Zelda games out already. Phantom hourglass, Crossbow-training and Twilight princess. Normally then don't realise a number of Zelda games at once.

that's what i was thinking, Although if the did space them out. We'd probably get annoyed by waiting..

Are all the release dates scheduled around the same time? Maybe Nintendo is doing the right thing. If the economy keeps going the way it is, people will be buying less video games in the future.

 

Nintendo is clever but I'm afraid that they'll delve more into casual gamers.
I should have got a 360 or PS3, Final Fantasy XIII looks great. Just seen the E3 2008 Trailer on youtube.

Yes Nintendo doesn't seem to have much coming up...but quite frankly no one has anything of interest this time around. Pretty much only FFXIII caught my eye at all. Nintendo for one, seems to be more interested in showing off their neat idea than making good games. (ie. lightsaber duels).

Either I'm too old, or the gaming industry's dying/entering a huge slump. Each subsequent console generation yields fewer and fewer good titles...I mean it's kind of sad that the game I'm most excited about for Wii is Mega Man 9...which sports NES style graphics and gameplay.

It is rumored that Nintendo is to unveil new game this evening.

 

I had heard that Nintendo did mention a new Legend of Zelda game. They haven't revealed any info on it yet.

 

That is how excited, gamers used to be at E3 with the announcement of Zelda

I guess Wii Music and the sword duelling's ok and the WiiMotion Plus seems promising

Well, that's good to hear. Mario kart Wii and Brawl are not really crappy games. Well in my opinion. Mario Kart Wii is fun. Especially using the Wii Wheel (best of all wireless!). And no lags at online. Brawl is good, exept the online gaming. I rated it in a thread here somewhere.

 

yeah, brawl's online sucks. but brawl is under rated, and mario kart is over rated. i wish brawl had some kind of voice chat and a ranking system for online.

 

They are coming with a new Zelda game, and I think its going to be based on more fighting and combat then puzzles. They haven't said anything else or any announcements about it yet though.
