((On the wild hope that there's still anyone out there willing to roleplay here, all are invited to participate in this: a post-apocalyptic take on the KH universe)).
    1. No character sheet required; we'll build our characters as we go.
    2. All fundamental rules of roleplaying will apply.
    3. Our characters won't be all that powerful to start; think first boss fight against Leon, skilled but otherwise none too threatening.
    4. Keyblade will be off limits out of the starting gate.
    5. We'll all be starting on Traverse Town.
The light whirl of a gentle wind swept across the second district as Glyde Savian stepped out of the old Hotel. Though it wasn't particularly cold otherwise, the light push gave her just enough of an excuse to tighten the tan canvas cloak around her torso. As soon as her boots set down onto the stone walk, she paused, and stared habitually into the night sky. Despite being clear of clouds, few stars shone through the veil, and those that did were dim or fading fast. Her steel gray stare scanned the heavens meticulously for abrupt signs of change, but none came. She released a thankful breath at that, and trained her eyes out into the plaza.

Again, she observed with a mind for detail, locking on to the slightest movement in the shadows below her. "Nothing." Again, she expressed her relief. A lonely, hollowed chime from the bell tower towards the far end of the plaza stirred the young woman into a nostalgia.

    Ding...

Ten years had already gone by.

    Ding...

She was only eleven back then.

    Ding...

    No one had been prepared.

    Ding...

They thought it was all just a myth until that night...

    Ding...

Or that there was simply nothing to fear from ancient horrors.

    Ding...

But they had come. Striking like lighting upon the unsuspecting tree, they lashed out without warning.

    Ding...

The Darkness, bred deep in the bowels of the worlds that had been long since locked, spread as a fire across the forest.

    Ding...

The Heartless returned in greater strength number...

    Ding...

    And tact than ever before.

    Ding...

The worlds fell in swift, efficient order. The most formidable being crushed under the assailing Shadows before they could respond.

    Ding...

Radiant Garden... Disney Castle... the bastions of Light, the seats of power, collapsed, and the rest of the worlds stood little chance beyond that...

    Ding...

The last toll of the bell tower rang out indefinitely as Glyde's memory caught up with her present. For all she or anyone else knew, Traverse Town was the last place left for anyone to make a stand; the Islands had probably been swallowed whole; Twilight Town hadn't been heard from in years, though many held on hope that they were still fighting on their front... anywhere else would have been too far out or incapable of breaking through into Inter-Space to make much headway.

Another gust of wind brushed against Glyde's face, whipping a long, black strand of hair around her neck. Wincing, she pulled out a band, and tied the pony tail up into a secure bun.

To its credit, the wind had brought her mind fully back to the moment. Beneath her cloak, she fastened her gloves, and firmly clasped the hilt of an old Gunblade on her left hip. She gave the Second District another cursory glance. "Still nothing. Thank the Light." A drying tear rolling down her right cheek, she set towards the gate to the First District, hoping to hear good news from the other patrols.
