    To be fair, I never bothered to watch Korra for reasons, but what this guy says sounds reasonable. In AtLA, I felt like a lot of time was spent on world-building and getting the details right, so it doesn't surprise me that in the sequel series they would strive to make technological advances as historically accurate to our own experience as possible.

    Indeed. I was rather impressed by what he pointed out. Korra had several issues imo but it's tech jump didn't bother me....until the giant mech. I only call shenanigans on the giant mech.
