Pre-KH3 Rambling

No essay or such, just thought it'd be nice to have a thread to ramble about any series thoughts we have before KH3 gets here.

Issues? Praises? Worries? Anything. Shoot.

 

Gonna post this here since I've been playing my emulated KH1&2 (yes I bought the ps2 discs) and finished them just now. It's like my own road to KH3 run~

First I'll just say that-GOOD HEAVENS I FORGOT WHAT ITS LIKE TO FIGHT HIM WHEN THE TRIANGLE BUTTON WORKS! No sh*t, all my 2.5 plays on PS3&4 have this part broken. A glitch were the reaction command to dodge his little dance wont work on those versions for me. I had a good bit of fun, was very pleased I found a way to emulate some PS2 discs (yes I bought them legit) and had a fun experience overall. Yes kids, someone at SE took the fucking time to model Kairi’s panties, give them detail, and then someone perverted found them because I assume they wanted to look.

It was on YT, all over KH forums, in the 2005s and 06s and it was fucking hilarious. Yes, this is censored out of all later versions, sorry PS3&4 players.

And no, I dont get off on this. I get off on the hilarity of it because they left this in yet took out Xigbars fucking sniper rifle. YES IT’S A THING JUST GOOGLE IT YOU NEOPHYTE

 

A bit on endings: I think Roxas, Xion, and Lea deserve a normal life

I touched on it with my Happy Ending for KH3 post. Some see it as a waste or me wanting to write them out of future story but honestly I just feel this is the logical conclusion for them. Of all the characters, these three are the ones that actually wanted it. Even now, for example:

Lea: He only has the keyblade, by his admission, to get back his friends. That’s it. Once he’s done that he has no reason to persist in it’s use.

Roxas: He never liked the keyblade. You clearly see his disgust for it as his story progresses. To Roxas, the keyblade is a literal bane on his existence. All of his pain can be tied to the fact he wields one.

Xion: Admittedly she held value and put effort into using her keyblade but it’s best to remember that her life expectancy relied on it. Xion knew she’d be useless to the Org without and you see this fear when she runs away and Roxas has to lend her his. With the Org gone she doesn’t have much reason to persist it. I believe Xion’s desire to be with her friends far outweighs the keyblade.

Now I dont consider if a big loss if this doesn’t happen but I do think it’s the most fitting ending for them. I also love the idea that someone would reject the keyblade. For the longest time it’s felt like it’s about who gets one or why.

I’d love to see someone reject the keyblade, choose a normal life now that they have the chance to live it. It’d be even better if you have this scene of RAX handing their keyblades away. Like Lea gives his to Kairi, Xion to Riku and Roxas to Sora.

I never cared for Days or this trio much but this avenue is easily one thing that’s always fascinated me. They could always be cameos later after all, Roxas&Xion using ethereal blades and Lea his old chakrams.
