My mind is racing. o-o For a few reasons:

1) Many seem to forget but each sector has it’s own composer. Joshua, while a powerful being, is just the ruler of Shibuya itself. There’s other composers.

2) Beings above even the composer exists and so far we know of one such race, Angels. Mr H is an angel.

3) Each plane also has it’s own frequency. The “RG” where normal humans live is the lowest level. Imagination has no manifested power here but it is still important. Angels like to see players go back to life with their heightened imagination.

-) Above the RG is the “UG”, the Underground. Where the game and Reapers dwell. It’s a frequency above the RG but only by one margin thus UG people can see the RG but not vice versa.
Typically, imagination can take form beginning here, usually put into “pins” for the reapers game. Players and Reapers are of higher “frequency” but Reapers can downtune and visit the RG. They lose their powers doing so until they return to the UG.

-) The Noise exist in a plane between RG and UG and are actually the remnants of soul.

So what does this have to do with Shibuya and Shinjuku?
The simple answer would be that Shinjuku’s composer chose to erase the city OR he was killed and replaced and the usurper erased the city. I’m not sure it’s that simple however.

When you read the reports, seen here (click me), you realize Neku’s visions of the new girl character and Shinjuku vanishing are happening during a New Day or shortly before it.

Either way, something with a high frequency of existence, a composer or higher level of imagination, has erased a sector save for one girl.


This girl here. We dont know her name but she has Shiki’s doll and she’s somehow withstood being erased with Shinjuku. As seen in her messages to Neku saying she can’t hear anyone.

She’s reaching out to him but we dont know if the two are syncing intentionally. Not even Mr H knows.

Then you have the new reaper Coco who needs Neku for some reason and even revives Minamimoto to be his partner…..

Both are highly suspicious but my current theory is that Coco is a reaper from another sector or parallel world.

As for the girl, that’s the most suspicious part. She wasn’t erased when her city was. That’s really odd, no human or player should have the power to resist a composer or higher level of imagination.

Going by the secret reports I’m wondering if something is invading sectors erasing them. I even wonder if it’s an angel since Mr H himself is a self proclaimed fallen one for his rule breaking in the main story.

…I dunno but this was decent sequel bait. I wonder if the next game will be in Shibuya or some remnants of Shinjuku. I wonder if it’ll even be a “game” since this isn’t the run of the mill reaper event.
